The one on the camera wasn't actually adding light into the scene, it was just a master flash and had no bearing on anything.. I got my RP system right after we shot this podcast because I fell in love with it. Now Jimmy and I are in a race to see who can get the most Poppers and flashes.
Oh.. FYI Jimmy.. you're actually using 6 speedlights:) one on the camera and 5 on the subject:) Where did you get the triggers?? And i guess the flashes was on manuel and you're not using the e-ttl or for Nikon folks i-ttl??
@34Muflon The one on the camera did not help to light the scene. It just controlled the other 5. And yes it was all full manual. In the video we talk about the settings.
@PhotoClassPro I know it didnt light anything.. only working as a master:) But you still needed 6.. just teasing... Anyways... where did you get the triggers?
@PhotoClassPro We said the name a few times. They were Radio Popper. It's a brand name. I get that a lot. People think I am using a general term, but it is the real brand name.
What's the word I'm looking for......? Brilliant! I've been shooting for sometime and normally do 2 flash combo for strobe work, high key, low key but after seeing this, it's worth spending more money on extra flashes to get even more creative. I want to thank you for making this video and for sharing the knowledge. God bless!
Very inspirational to watch, never actually thought of using so many flashes and dumbing down daylight... i know that afternoon natural light makes colors pop, but the effect you were getting from the gels and flashes just doubled that. awesome :)
looks good learned alot
