I think this news that the earth is not be going to burn up after all is wonderful and certainly not depressing. These e mails are from the lead authors of the IPCC reports. They are the people advising our political leaders. They show manipulation of the data and models used to predict our future climate. They also prove some of the scientists have vested interests. 34,000 scientists are suing Al Gore for fraud. There is no consensus these scientists now have no credibility

Yeah we all seem to have that problem with OUR governments these days. They have to be reduced, the less the better.

If the story was widely reported, that would be depressing. There is a consensus among all credible scientists, you know, the people who actually understand the very complicated science. You can make your talking points all you want, but they simply know the data and models inside out, and have concluded the effect is real. What makes you think you know better? Do you think the people trying to argue against these conclusions base their opposition on strictly scientific grounds?

Same goes for Australia ... zip, zilch, nada. All mainstream media stories about climate change are about anthropogenic global warming and catastropic impacts on the planet if we do nothing.

Anyone who expected to see Climategate reported (fairly) in the Irish media is living in cloud coo coo land.

There are two scandals:

1) Climategate

2) Mediagate

None of the major TV morning or evening news shows in the US (ABC, NBC, CBS) has reported Climategate.

People talk about media slant, but this opened MY eyes.

If you care about SCIENCE and the ENVIRONMENT, you are very angry at the scientists involved.

If you care about politics and money, you are very angry at the hackers (and your other usual "enemies").

1: higher temperatures cause CO2 increase, not the opposite.

2: temps have fallen the past 10 years while CO2 continues to rise.

3: periods of much warmer/cooler weather (and higher/lower CO2) have existed over 20,000+ years.

4: planets warm/cool together, which means warming/cooling is primarily caused by the sun.

We need 100% separation of science and state.

Government funded science == propaganda.

Plants absorb CO2 and emit O2.

Hang climate totalitarians.

End lies & pollution.
