You're wrong. Only the 2003 and 2004 Cobras came with superchargers, all previous years didn't and since the video doesn't list the year of the Mustang, you can't assume anything. Also, the Super Snake may have big power numbers, but the ZR1 is HIGHLY competitive against such car, and it puts down quite a bit less power. I love Ford, hell I love my Ford, but the Corvette has always been the faster and better sports car.

Wow I'm unimpressed by the cobra. Maybe my headers and solid tune on my z06 would let me beat that cobra? My friends 2002 f body is about 505 to the wheels and he pulls me pretty hard on the freeway. The cobras just must be really inefficient.

@Qu3mao The discription says "12lbs" pulley. It's a stock super charger with a smaller pulley, which creates more boost. But 12lbs is barely more than stock on a cobra. For it to have470whp, there must be alot more done to this car than is posted.
@marcomariaz26 C5 Z06's weigh in at 3050lbs not 3300... My stock C5 Z06 with about half tank of gas weighed in a 3080 at the drag strip... Do Longtubes ect and the weight goes down to around 3010 lbs...

That Cobra is giving up over a liter of displacement, hence the blower from factory. For some reason Ford is into building small v8's and running forced induction. If you look at Ford crate motors they offer comparible HP to cubic inch comparisons to Chevy's crate motors. Anyway, to each their own....GO USA

With the exception of the new 5.0 and the 5.4 in the 2000 cobra R, the 4.6 they put in the terminator cobras is fords best. ditch the stock eaton and add a 2.8 KB and you got 600hp at the wheels. This cobra didn't lose because of HP, but because the vette is a much lighter car.

@canespride83 I agree. My stang runs faster than many vettes at the track and it puts down only 400 rwhp. I admit I'm using Drag radials and a racing transmission but this cobra should be doing more with 470. I run 12.4 on a warm/hot day in with 400. If I had 470 rwhp I'd be running 11's easily. Poor driver IMO
@canespride83 I highly doubt that Cobra was pushing 470 rwhp. My friends 2001 GT convertible (Kenne Bell s/c) is pushing 360rwhp and she runs with the 405hp Z06s. If this Cobra is pushing those kind of numbers then the car definitely needs a driver mod.
@StandardRacing not to be a dick but to set things straight....the 03 Cobra stock was putting down 380ish to the wheels it was far underrated more around 420hp at the motor stock and that's at 9 PSI so with just a smaller pulley and a tune it easily pushes 480 I would know because I own with that being the only mods and have the dyno sheets to prove it...not trollin, just sayin....and the 2v 4.6 doesn't even compare to the 4v you could almost say its half the engine.

@Jamison03SVT Well it's sad that my stupid self has to correct your statement. The Corvette in this video is stock pushing 405hp at the motor. The Cobra in this video is allegedly pushing 470rwhp which translates to about 550hp at the motor. A difference of 150 flywheel hp or almost 130 rwhp. Hope I cleared that up for you.
@StandardRacing well standby for me to clear it up for you some more 550hp is only around 450 to the wheels...multiply times .83 for 17% loss. Anyways the Z06 stock puts from around 360-380 stock to the rear wheels depending on the dyno and car which equates to 445-450hp(not the under rated 405) at the motor if your using the 17% drivetrain loss...so the math as it stands Z06 = about 370 Cobra= 470 so 100whp difference instead of my previous 70whp...your 30whp over and I was 30whp under happy?

I was basically saying If you add a CAI/exhaust/tune to a C5 or better yet a C6 Z06 you will pretty much tear anyone driving a new one. I have a stock C6 Z06 and a supercharged Mustang GT and yes my Mustang is faster than the Z06 on spray (not on motor). But if you want to see either of those, my Camaro IROC, or my Daytona Charger, Just shoot through twiggs county or putnam county race tracks and I'll show you in person :)

I was told by many that, that car ran too strong for what it had done to it ..... which was nothing LoL !!!! all i did was flush all my fluids to syn . ect....... OEM style K&N filter & a shifter that was decent - B&M Ripper Pro
Ohhh and a drop ...... I had to sell her sad day it was man ..... shes in good hands though.
@2jztt6Spd Though with that said, I do someday plan on a CAI, tune, and an exhaust for both the Daytona and the Z06. The IROC is a project car that I'm working on restoring it but not doing the power adders (305 tpi's aren't very fast). It is about 90% up mechanically (needs rear end rebuild) and then I'll work on cosmetics.

That Cobra is giving up over a liter of displacement, hence the blower from factory. For some reason Ford is into building small v8's and running forced induction. If you look at Ford crate motors they offer comparible HP to cubic inch comparisons to Chevy's crate motors. Anyway, to each their own....GO USA

@suckTTvapor i wouldnt jump to that conclusion just yet. With the exception of the new 5.0 and the 5.4 in the 2000 cobra R, the 4.6 they put in the terminator cobras is fords best. ditch the stock eaton and add a 2.8 KB and you got 600hp at the wheels. This cobra didn't lose because of HP, but because the vette is a much lighter car.

Actually the reason the cobra stops at 125 is because 03/04's have very thin piston to wall clearance and they cant do 5th and 6th gear WOT pulls bcuz it could mess up the engine. Just an FYI

Mustangs are just not good performance cars even the new GT500. I drove that car and the power to weight ratio was horible the car was all over the place. I can't understand what Ford was thinking. A stock C6 would smoke that car at the track.

Ok the cobra might have another 500 lbs on it... but when you got an extra 100hp to the back wheels you should of walked all over the vette from the start! Just shows ford dont know how to make a race car stil!!!!!! ...at night with only 275 drag radials, & K&N lol. Compared to the Z06 times of 12.4-12.8@111-116 (GM, MT,R&T, C&Ds claims) A tuned 03SVT from a roll would be enough (depending on driver errors) to pull a C5 Z06 without too much trouble; especially one with the trap speeds being so close & the mods this video claims.

uhh that stock z06 has 360rwhp that cobra had 470. i know the IRS weighs it down but the cobra is a pig compared to the z06. it took forever to pull of the Z and he barely got anything on him. and comparing modded to stock is just stupid. that said,id love to own a cobra, but that particular one need the driver mod as well.

@canespride83 I agree. My stang runs faster than many vettes at the track and it puts down only 400 rwhp. I admit I'm using Drag radials and a racing transmission but this cobra should be doing more with 470. I run 12.4 on a warm/hot day in with 400. If I had 470 rwhp I'd be running 11's easily. Poor driver IMO

@canespride83 I highly doubt that Cobra was pushing 470 rwhp. My friends 2001 GT convertible (Kenne Bell s/c) is pushing 360rwhp and she runs with the 405hp Z06s. If this Cobra is pushing those kind of numbers then the car definitely needs a driver mod.

@StandardRacing not to be a dick but to set things straight....the 03 Cobra stock was putting down 380ish to the wheels it was far underrated more around 420hp at the motor stock and that's at 9 PSI so with just a smaller pulley and a tune it easily pushes 480 I would know because I own with that being the only mods and have the dyno sheets to prove it...not trollin, just sayin....and the 2v 4.6 doesn't even compare to the 4v you could almost say its half the engine.

The Cobra in this video is allegedly pushing 470rwhp which translates to about 550hp at the motor. A difference of 150 flywheel hp or almost 130 rwhp. Hope I cleared that up for you.

@StandardRacing well standby for me to clear it up for you some more 550hp is only around 450 to the wheels...multiply times .83 for 17% loss. Anyways the Z06 stock puts from around 360-380 stock to the rear wheels depending on the dyno and car which equates to 445-450hp(not the under rated 405) at the motor if your using the 17% drivetrain loss...so the math as it stands Z06 = about 370 Cobra= 470 so 100whp difference instead of my previous 70whp...your 30whp over and I was 30whp under happy?

I was basically saying If you add a CAI/exhaust/tune to a C5 or better yet a C6 Z06 you will pretty much tear anyone driving a new one. I have a stock C6 Z06 and a supercharged Mustang GT and yes my Mustang is faster than the Z06 on spray (not on motor). But if you want to see either of those, my Camaro IROC, or my Daytona Charger, Just shoot through twiggs county or putnam county race tracks and I'll show you in person :)

I was told by many that, that car ran too strong for what it had done to it ..... which was nothing LoL !!!! all i did was flush all my fluids to syn . ect....... @2jztt6Spd Though with that said, I do someday plan on a CAI, tune, and an exhaust for both the Daytona and the Z06. The IROC is a project car that I'm working on restoring it but not doing the power adders (305 tpi's aren't very fast). It is about 90% up mechanically (needs rear end rebuild) and then I'll work on cosmetics.
