you know,i found one like this and i was able to go through the skeletons EYEHOLES!!The thing was though,is that there was a nest in there,and the nest had an epic in it(it was a tight space!!).

These are Hyper Epic bones.The Hyper Epics arent in the game,but theyr footprints and theyr bones are.The bones usually have a Lama head,refering to the fact that every Maxis game uses Llamas as easter eggs.

i fount those bones 2 lol and ive had 3 games with a fallen grox ship and on my oldest space game i must have thousands on it now XD apperantly those are ultra epics they lived before ur creatures and were wiped out in your meteroite

when you have more then one saved game, you can vist the other planet in 1 of the games if they are in the space phases (cant do anything there though), and i had 1 game in space and 1 in cell, and the cell planet has creatures on it before my creature was out of water so that might be a extinct (thankfully) creature from before you started creature phase
