  • I'd fucking hate to piss Steven Seagal off.

  • "YEAH THAT WAS HIS HEAD!"

  • This video is genius...... The entire movie summed up in under eight minutes......That's perfect......Good work......

  • Would nay of these moves in real life in real time unrehearsed ? Like say you have a heavyweight boxer who knows how to punch & skillful what are the chances that you'll be able to grab his firm arm & do all of that in quicktime ?

  • Jackie Chan/Jet Li = Avoid fighting and use it as a last resort

Steven Seagal = Fight first, ask questions later

  • "Say man..." lol

  • i wanna do that move he does at 7:03 on alot of people !!!

  • @ryan49er1 That move is the shit, isnt it? :-D

  • 7:35 YES!

  • that guy with the gun at 340, maybe he read in his horoscope "today you will be flipsy flipped"

  • This movie was Segal's most real film.

  • whata douche pretending to be tough this seagal is, a spooky story told to kids if they refuse to to go to bed..

  • I hated that fat bartender prick talking shit and then crying like a little bitch lol

i didn't like the ending he should have gotten a pounding slowly lol

I want to see the who the fuck this chery scene lol let me find it again lol

  • I'd hate to get my wrist broken and my head shoved through a glass door!

  • The opening scene is the best. Great, and not something you see in Aikido often.

  • Take Sensei - Aikido teacher

    Steven Seagal- the Buddhist

    Steven Seagal- the man

    Steven Seagal- the dad

    Steven Seagal- the humanitarian

Steven Seagal- the man makes who makes movies.

Let's try and not confuse them, you know who you are. Is your life seamless? O'Sensei said " The art of bu, in the form of the gods and their divine heart; it generates the precious izu (yang) and mizu (yin)" or fire and water, hard and soft, do you understand. Be mindful before you judge.

  • 4:37 YOU WANNA GET HIGH!?

  • all right!......who else wants some?!. great line.

  • The guy in the blue tanktop at the beginning of the fight

looks like a Breakfast Club Emilio Estevez on steroids. =)

  • @PlacentaPudding

speaking of look alikes....it looks like that first gunman got lost and wandered off the 'planet of the apes' set

  • The best Steven Seagal movie! The story and the script for this movie is by Steven Seagal, which is interesting because he is a good fighter and here we see one good concieved plot not less good.

  • I use to watch when was a kid

    Classic

  • what is the name of the soundtrack in 1.25 ?????

  • i love this guy

  • 2:25 : The action starts.

  • These were the days when Seagal was cool, had attitude and actually acted a bit. I miss the young Steven Seagal.

  • @TheMrAdax True that he has style. His films are unique taken into account I was young when his films were popular.

  • Hey, hey don't do me ugly!

  • if i am not mistaking part of the japaness culture and fight tactics is also a philosophy that teaches you to respect your adversary not swear and most of all use your knowledge for defense never offence if he had truly studied that then he should realizy its use and philosophy not use them to make violent brutal action movies in order to rise in the hollywood society..

  • all right!.....who else wants some?.

  • Those 80's Guys Had Character

  • hes the man

  • kotegaeshi is one of the best techniques against weapons, he sure shows it

  • @Raxqorz Which one is that? 3:40?

  • Comment removed

  • @victorrain yes and at 6:37

  • Above the Law...NICO.

I remember this when I was 6 years old...and till date,I adore his movies.

  • "you'll never be the fuckin man, you'll never be the man!"

  • Above The LAW... wearing a dress.

  • One of my favorite moves ever is when he disarms the guy with the gun in the bar. Beautiful.

  • @thegorn68 Thats still one of the coolest scenes in any movie!

  • @thegorn68 Had a guy put a gun on me a few yrs ago and thought of this exact move. Decided against it when I saw his hands shaking and the hammer back.

  • Sabretooth from X-Men Origins walks into places ahead of Steven Seagal and he always asks the owner. "You got insurance on this place?" "No, why?" "Too bad"

  • Am I wrong, or was Father Guido Sarducci wearing a turbin in the grocery store scene?

  • Wow, Seagal used to be skinny.

  • Why can't people who get their asses kicked by Steven Seagal do things the easy way instead of the HARD way.

  • Many of Seagal's movies are among my favorites. The way he fights is reality, no fancy bullshit. The reason he's not so fit anymore is because he's focusing on things other than martial arts (like environmental activity etc). After years and years of training he should be allowed to relax for a change.

  • This was when steve was at his best! YOUNG SKINNY AND FAST AS LOGHTING!! Although he chubby now im still a fan! The man has over 40 years of maetial arts experence

  • this is....insane!

  • What does he say at 2:27?

  • @victorrain It's an Italian greeting that's about all I know.

  • hit the pimp in his face. I love it.

I like a blood face by bad people.

  • ............................

  • He could have escaped through the door but he just had to break through the windows.

  • That part where he charged at the guy and broke through the store window was epic.

  • @TsubakiYayoi I always laugh till I about piss myself watching it!!

  • Its funny because this scene as beautiful as it is and as tastefully done as it is did not get me interested in Aikido. This movie kick started his career, but for me I saw this documentry entitled Bushido and in it was Gozo Shioda. He sealed the deal for me.

  • "What is this shit huh? You wanna get high? Huh? You wanna get high?"

  • Does anybody know what Seagal is saying when he's teaching the class?

  • yeah...

  • What's he saying?

  • (1:34-1:45) "It doesn't matter whether your opponent kicks or not, because the *strength/strong point* of Aiki(do) is that it all becomes one. Also, because (I'm) outside his line of attack...it become one/the same...Watch..a front kick."

(1:47 guy kicks) "Again..." (1:51) "Like that..see?" (1:53-1:57) "So the movement becomes one/the same, like this..." (SLAM!)

  • (1:58-2:02) "You have to change the angle(=get off the line of attack)...He attacks..." (2:02-2:04) "Even if at a higher angle it's the same." (2:05-2:07) Pivot around rearward...just like this." (2:08-2:12 slams the guy...) "...With that kind of feeling, please try it..."

  • I train in Aikido at the Hombu Dojo in Shinjuku = the same place that Steve trained at. The above translation is fairly literal, but the overall gist of what he is saying is that whether the attack is a kick or a punch, the body movement/technique is basically the same: get off the line of attack, blend with your opponent's attack, and make their face/skull/ass one with the ground! >;-)

  • Is this the same school he ended up teaching at? Is his portrait up there with O-sensei's (Morihei Ueshiba)? Thanks very much for answering.

  • No. He initially trained at Hombu in Shinjuku, then started teaching at his wife's family's(Tenshin) dojo in Osaka...

  • Aikido prides itself on being a defensive art. But he's throwing some strikes while doing the techniques. Do they teach strikes (tsuki and geri) or just strikes you do before you apply the move?

  • I can't speak for all schools but after the basic are mastered, I am talking rolls and throws as well as locks, then comes the strikes both hand and foot. Nothing fancy, just the basics and the way to apply them. And when I say mastered I really mean an understanding on the basic level of when and where to apply a technique. Mas Oyama was quoted saying something like it take 10 years to learn how to punch effectively, & 1000 times is just doing it 10000 times becomes practice. You do the math.

  • 10,000 times becomes practice? So you do learn high, middle, low punches and turning, front, side, etc. kicks in Aikido?

  • No sorry I meant in Mas Oyamas style of martial art. But it applies universally, the more correct practice of something the more it become second nature or you react without thinking about it. However in some Aiki styles punches and kicks are taught the same way as well as judo. this make someone able to defend themselves.

  • @victorrain ...Depends on the teacher/school. At Hombu the strikes are thrown mainly with the feeling/idea of being a way to distract or off-balance the opponent before doing the main technique.

  • Who the fuck izz this che rree? lol-

  • "What it be like homie" lol!

  • The best movie line ever of all times!!!

Hey Scifu, how you doing, saco de tempo,

You seen this Girl?Naw man,you know,I quit messing with that stuff,I aint into the shit anymore, you aint into ??what are you into? hey Why dont the fuck you assholes leave me alone?I paid your boy off monday night,my boy huh?yeah now take some of that money and go buy your mama a Fucking, condominium, and get out of my life with this shit.

  • Don't forget "You'll never be the man"

  • Hey,Skeefoo

  • Above the Law - his first and best film.

  • steven seagal is the best!

  • "Your destroying the image of my place"

  • LOL that last kill is so fuckin funny! Busted nose, broken arm, then broken neck ouch.

  • Above the Law and Out For Justice are my favorite Steven Seagal movies!!

  • he is the best bone broker..

  • "You wanna get HIGH huh?!" Bang.

" You wanna get HIGH!" Bang.

    Oh man. the. best. ever.

  • steven seagal makes people do flipsy flips

  • alright who else wants some?

  • if your a store/bar owner, and this guy walks in... you better have insurance.

  • @2daD3ath

or you better have a nose plug, cause otherwise he's gonna fart you to death..

  • "Don't do me ugly!" LOOOOOOOL xD

  • dont bribe me, man..smack smack! lol

  • @JAVMAN3000 seagal best martial artist since bruce lee

  • Yeah SS Rules. " U think ur above the law, but u aint above mine" is 1 of my fav quotes from him n also bank on it pal. both from above the law.

  • Great soundtrack

  • Simply love the clothesline .. have used to great effect several times :)

  • if im correct, this is steven seagal's first movie

  • At 3:59 - 4:00 He reminds me of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat when he said "Get Over Here". Awesome!

  • son of a batch

    Rip roar little road warrior

  • "You're ruining the image of my place".

    LOL

  • and his sister is peggy bundy

  • When approached like this? I have no qualms with Aikido. It helps in my chosen profession for come-alongs, etc.

And I LOVE how Seagal used the combat Aiki-Jitsu in the bar scene. Esp w hen he nailed the meathead with the elbow!

Classic. Notice you didnt see him screw around with flips and shit in putting someone bigger and stronger than him down? He straight up nails him with an elbow and knee to TAKE HIM OUT!

    That's reality!

  • at 3:40 he made that guy do the flipsy flip

  • 7:35 best overkill ever

  • This guy is funny.

  • anyone have the full movie up?

  • Awful actor,gigantic ego,waistline longer than Mason-Dixon - but great aikido!

  • The old man in the photos, is that Morihei Ueshiba? Seagal owns!!!

  • yes, he's o'sensei Ueshiba

  • the fight in the bar awesome that's what need's to be done to all the bitches in the world today male bitches or people that think they can hide behind money!!

  • Cuz yer gonna do tall time!

  • Whenever you see a soda cooler, you know someone's head is going to go through the door.

  • Too bad for that poor Muslim immigrant who owned the store. Just about every action movie has some business that is ruined because of some scene in that business. LOL! In the movie Hancock, I was amazed that that was addressed if these action movies actually were real. The Autobots defeated the Decepticons in Mission City in the first movie, but they really did a lot of damage to Mission City if you think about it. LOL!

  • one of the best kick ass video i've known from him..

    that moves really is self-defense

  • Very nice arm bar at 7:36 and the follow thru

  • Look closely, the guy in the red shirt that gets shot at 7:24 is the bartender. Turns out he was in kahoots with the bad guys the whole time.

    Seagal kicks big-time butt!!!

  • 7:01 this guy looks like the same trainee he had at the beginning of the movie....same exact move he was demonstrated at the Aikido school...

My favorite Seagal movie, 1st that started it all. I like the lean thin look, now homeboy looks like a fat filthy pig...

  • Right on, SymaskinisteN. You know whats up.

  • Wonderful film!! By Nico!! end Steven seagal!!

  • Seagal enjoys playing "ethnic" heroes. He has variously been in roles as a"sicilian", "korean", "eskimo", "latino" and other races. His eskimo portrayal was especially a tear-jerker. And he kicks butt in a bar scene in every film.

  • Gotta love Ronnie Barron (Bartender). That's that authentic New Orleans west bank accent for you right there.

  • is it?

the movie takes palce in chicago..

  • The actor, Ronnie Barron, is from New Orleans. I'm from the area, and that's how everyone sounds down here.

  • really.cool

  • man..

    he really made me..

  • it seems to me that when ever Andrew Davis makes a movie in chicago,he uses the actors to portray the cops,CODE OF SILENCE,ABOVE THE LAW ,THE FUGITIVE,check it out for yourself.

  • ROFL

I love when the Bartender said:

    "Dont do me ugly" lmao

  • Steven Seagal is THE mean lean ass-kicking machine!!!!!

(Well he's not-so-lean any more, but he still can kick a mean ass!!)

  • He is the man he will always be......age of the body is not age of the soul (or what ever you call it today) TTAUI, when they change the rules to catch you ; that's when it's not fair. esp.....when they don't know there chemistry's or engeries...TOUGH......It means when there is NOTHING Left .....Just who you are ......Are you a Wasp , Honey Bee, Ant , or a Worm foundation ???? it does make a difference.

  • this was his forst big motion picture he was awesome in his prime people seem to be mis leaded by what he looks like today but if they only knew what he was capable of doin in the late 80's and early 90's

  • Steven Seagal brings new meaning to the word TOUGH.

  • I love the music, the film, not to mention Steven Seagal! He`s great!

  • lmao..did i hear the bartender say "wheres my peepz"

also what does he say about seagal being italian?

  • I believe he calls him an Italian puke, aha.

  • he always does the same movements

  • by the way .this is nico not above the law.

  • seagal i like his movies...i practise martial arts but not his style .. im a 1st degree in i t f tae kwon do ....

  • the best THE BEST STEVEN SEGAL

  • Steven Seagal should go back to making pornos. Like he did in the 80s

  • where is hard to kill? i looked but the entire movie was not posted.

  • steve seagal is so hot!!

  • someone needs to upload above the law and hard to kill.

  • Above The Law is uploaded

  • You wanna get high? Huh? You wanna get high? Here!! POW!! Steven Seagal is one TOUGH dude!!!

  • The scene where he beats up that scrawny drug user is one of my favorite scenes. He just grabs that guy by the neck and starts beating him up.

That should be an anti-drug PSA.

  • See, this is how white people in America kick Spic and chink ass. You taco bell eating Mexicans better watch out when the white man rides through da hood. Lol I love this part
