You can easily win this fight with the Life Line party at levels 1 Crono, 4 Marle, and 99 Robo.

Actually, you could do it with level 16 Robo, except you can't get to it that low.

You can defeat Lavos with levels 1, 4, and 16 respectively, and having never used a cheat or newgame plus.

@Wade23581 are you sure? I've never been able to get to robo without using chrono, and in the beginning they level up pretty quickly

Trust me, I've dont the perfect low level run several times.

Chrono and Marle finish every fight unconcious, so they do not gain XP.

You rotate Ayla, Frog, Luca, and Robo at the right times to keep Robo's level at the lowest possible, and keep the other characters from gaining extra XP too.

Run from all runnable fights. Avoid all avoidable fights.

Lavos dies with the levels 1,4 and 16.

@Ant1Live he does i've seen it a few times.His attack hits em down to 1HP and has both the same animation AND the same sound effect! Right after that Crono and Marle cast the same spell to heal

it's at around 1:23 and does it again at 2:03.

The best place to level up is on Death Peak near the first Save point.

Fight the first party on the screen, th en walk off the screen to the left and back on. The party will regenerate.

This is the easiest to kill and highest XP "infinite spawn re-killable" party in the game. I think it's two egg types and a flying ghost type.

Eventually, level 2 elementals will one-shot the party and you can get several dozen party kills per Shelter usage if you rotate spell casters.

If you use Gold Studs (Charm them on the Black Omen,) then your MP cost is only 2 per spell, which means you can do 49 level 2 elemental spells per character per shelter.

You should be able to rifle through levels like this. A couple level ups per minute, even at high character levels...

Keep your highest level character OUTSIDE the party for optimal XP gain since characters outside the party gain 3/4ths XP.

@BynineB Yeah... spekkio's last 2 forms were way harder than Lavos. I basically just sneezed and Lavos fell over the first time I played through the game.

On the description, only the leader of your party has to be level 99 to get spekkio to his final form.

For anybody curious...the final damage total on the pink Mu was:

19,078

Even Lavos would have died before this...

Actually, Lavos (his final form at least) had like 30,000 hp, way more than this guy....however, the attack powers of this master of war was lightyears ahead of Lavos.

I never really paid attention on how much damage I did, but the lavos fight is much longer..:)and yes, master of wars attacks are much more damaging than lavos attacks :)
