You are 100% correct with your statement and it was this particular battle ( a tactical victory against the USSR in 1944!) that was a pivotal point in keeping Finland free.

Without question, Finnish soldiers were some of the best and toughest soldiers of WWII.

That Die Deutsche Wochenschau symbol on begining of the film fools easily to belive that this is a real WWII era film, though it is not :)

It is easy to see that this film is from Finland. That northern nature surroundings looks so typical North Finland (Lapland) forest nature and sometimes at winter-time temperature there is about -32c. The land of Santa Claus, arctic forests, fjelds (arctic mountains) and cute reindeers. Pitty that there are not raindeers on that film. North Finland is full of raindeers. I have seen some old films where those german soldiers have fun and play with reindeers and are riding in a reindeer sleighs.
