@xPegasusSeiya humans all originated in africa. you can trace all migration patterns from there. there was no migration from africa to america, they did not have the technology to sail across the atlantic.
@devilxhlywood That's only a theory, we all believe in some sort of way how people came to be. FYI it was discovered that Africa had the oldest skeleton on earth there.
to be a good t.hawk player you need 3 things the first is patient. the number one couse of loosing against a shoto charracter or a defensive charracter like guile is because most people act careless and without patient. second is Footsies which will help get closer or pressure opponents. and third one needs to know hawk's arcenal of set ups for the typhoon and combos tha is all
T. Hawk's good and he's strong too. (You're blind if you can't see all the freaking DAMAGE he did!!)
A lot of the "grappler type" players have found a way around projectiles and their own slowness and size. I mean look at Hugo from SF III. There's plenty of great vids with this style of fighting.
Well, he always seemed like a generic wrestler type, someone who just comes up and grabs you and slam dunks you into the pavement, though he's quite faster than Zangief.
Haha when the third round started with like 20 seconds left in the video, it became obvvious that T. Hawk was gonna slam Ryu's ass home with a Mexican Typhoon
You have to start the 360 (it's actually 270) joystick command facing forward or backward and end it facing up, once you hit up on the joystick you have only 3/60 of a second to input a punch command or else T.Hawk will jump....it's VERY tough to get this consistently.
Walk up throws with T.Hawk can only be done in three frames, very difficult timing. Zangief's is 5 frames which isn't that much easier as well.
that was pretty sweet. it's harder to buffer moves in this game than sf3 in my opinion, which is usually what i play, since sf2 moves at a different pace
I have to wonder about T. Hawk's repeated 360s; I doubt EVERY 360 is timed so tight you can't just jump out the way. I think a lot of players just screw themselves cuz they're so busy trying to reverse.
you'll get caught every time trying to jump away, even is the spd motion is a little late. you can get grabbed during your jump frames before you completely leave the ground, leaving pretty big room for error on the grappler's part. if they completely suck i guess trying to jump away is a good tactic...

yea sirimico you are the only one, hes not even mexican hes just fighting out of mexico bcuz the designers couldnt put the u.s.a bcuz guile was from there so they just put mexico plus hes huge the only mexicans ive seen are little short ones who mow my lawn hahahaha
Technically. Its like the difference between a Native American in the U.S.A. And a Native American in Mexico. T. Hawk happens to be in the later category.
Where as Ryu has a god priority uppercut and fireballs, while T Hawk is a large, slow moving character that requires standing 360s or perfectly timed jumps to actually do those moves, not to mention he has to be in close proximity too. But yeah...he is so gay isn't he?
There is no worse character in the game it depends on the players skill. I like to use T.Hawk too! I don't know if I could beat that guy but I would provide a decent challenge.
the t hawk player is toutanki, probably the best t hawk around. he is the master of utilizing the tick throw trap. when watching him play you tend to forget that tier wise speaking, t hawk is the worst player in the game. but he is not the only one. K and yuubou (i think its spelled right) also play good hawks.
Inomata blows all three of those out of the water. Mayakon is also an excellent Hawk player. Oh yeah, Yuubou is more of a fei-long player then a T-hawk player.
That was my first time watching T. Hawk fight, and I have to say, why isn't this guy in more games? He seems like a pretty awesome fighter with great skill, and devastating super moves. I mean, he took down Ryu for god sakes!
Hawk IS awesome. Sadly it usually takes an ace Hawk player at contest level to take down a semi-decent Ryu player.
Hawk is quite off-putting for most people (style, size, tough projectile game). It's a shame so many would rather use the predictable Ryu/Ken/Akuma choice, but much of this is because they're great all-rounders, & all their moves are a cinch to perform compared to Hawk.
But that makes it all the more satisfying when a player like Toutanki plays like this. Virtuoso performance.
Always nice to see Ryu getting owned by the best character in the series.

damn..maybe Hawk isn't so weak after all...
EricV1 2 years ago
@EricV1 Hawk was never weak
sidechainthreats 2 years ago
Totally why he's considered one of the lowest tier characters in the game, right?
Totally not weak. He has horrible normals, low priority... and a throw trap. His throw trap is all that makes him usable.
rekenner 2 years ago
Well, he always seemed like a generic wrestler type, someone who just comes up and grabs you and slam dunks you into the pavement, though he's quite faster than Zangief.
EricV1 2 years ago
Yeah but O.Hawk is alot better due to awesome normals and iirc better jab 360 range, I'd trade up that super for better normals anyday.

O. Hawk's still not *good*

Some japs think he is A-tier so yeah, goes down to opinion.

Given his universally low placement on ... every tier list, including Japanese ones, I'd say anyone that puts him at a high tier is wrong.
