No 3 Steps up to the Altar? In viewing a vid of Lib XV, I came to understand the importance of such (which I had seldom seen in practice). Yet this, regardless of the fact that I would have to read of the Rite myself, lazy lazy I, might certainly inpsire the venturing of a path to understanding. A delight to the neophyte and more adept practitioner alike.

Quick notes:

> 1-3-3-3-1 for the First Gesture, and after the 3-5-3 comes an Abrahadabra! cry.

> Pentagrams come from the hip, like all good punches.

> Only needs 7 whirlings at the end, from Within Me The Powers you remain static until returning to face East for the First Gesture.

Remember to stick to the script, people, even if it's on the internet with decent production values in a nice temple!

I am impressed. Extremely. This is the pinnacle of instructional work. My one complaint is that you could be a bit more mindful of the form of your pentagrams...the spokes seemed slightly too short in some places.

I wonder if that had been the special effects though...

Thanks for all the tips on performance, it was actually my first time really doing it in a proper space so it wasn't perfect, but I hope it's been helpful and interesting.

I look forward to seeing more people put together videos so we can share ideas and methods across the globe. Gotta love these intarwebs.

Great vid

Your pentagrams should be as large as you can draw them, and the spiral dance is done in the attitude of ptah (hands clasping wand standing erect ) and don't for get to bow when invoking the the west.

Otherwise not bad.

How did you edit the video to draw a line along with the wand like that? :) If it can be done easily, then, it would help alot of us to form a proper pentagram.. or we could watch ourselves do so on video, etc :) It would help the overall accuracy.

The animation was done in Autodesk Maya, but that's probably overkill. I'm sure you could use 2d tools like After Effects for example, or tracking software like 3d equalizer which should do a pretty good job, especially if you put a clearly visible tracking marker on the tip of your wand or finger.

93. Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video.

The point was simply to demonstrate the execution of one of the ritual as described in Crowley's publications. Reguli, also known as the ritual of the mark of the beast, isn't one of the more common rituals, and is also somewhat difficult to envision from the instructions. It's my hope that those interested will be inspired to perform it for themselves!

Thanks for the great feedback! This was shot in an actual temple in an occult lodge. I believe the dimensions were 24ft by 24ft, which is more than most of us have at home, unfortunately.

Really good video....it helps with the performance of the spiral dance.....just out of curiosity how big is that ritualspace?.....I don't really have that much space at all in my current home. My basement is big but the builders put like 6 jackposts in so if I tried to do the ritual I would be bumping into things. I would just like to know for reference purposes.
