Fireworks over Lake Gregory, Crestline, California

It's my dream to move to Crestline/Cedarpines Park. Every comment I've heard from every resident there or that used to live there is they love it, and miss it. It's a done deal for me.

I lived in crestline 2002 thru 2005 they couldnt have the show during that time due to drought good to see they brought it back...

Debbie: Sadly, it looks like this was the last fireworks show ever to be held over Lake Gregory. They have not had a show since this one in 2007. The problems have been the cost of insurance, cost of the show itself and other problems. The shows over Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear continue to be held every Fourth of July.

Sadly, there are going to be no fireworks shows over Lake Gregory for the forseeable future. Its getting too expensive, the fire danger and other things are keeping them from materializing over Lake Gregory. I would go to Big Bear this year. They are spending $45,000 on their show this year.

I also forgot to give much props and credit to Lake Arrowhead Fireworks show my family and I have seen the fireworks show for the past three years and don't plan to miss this year although I'm bummed Crestline won't have theirs this year was soooo looking forward to them also. I've been a resident of the Lake Arrowhead Community for over 3 years and Lake Gregory"Crestline" Fireworks show is by far the best due to the the echo sounds reflecting off the mountains giving the effect a loud awesome show.

This is nonpunker. I just signed on using a different name. Unfortunately, the Crestline Chamber of Commerce has decided NOT to have a fireworks show this year due to the fire danger. However, neighboring Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake will have shows. Hopefully the fireworks will return to Lake Gregory in 2009.

I also wanted to add that if the Fourth of July falls on a Saturday, then the fireworks show over Lake Gregory is held on the Fourth of July. The next time that will happen should be in 2009.

It was part of Crestline's Jamboree Days celebration, which is always held on the Saturday before the 4th of July. Crestline is the town that Lake Gregory is located in. Other events associated with Jamboree Days are a parade, street vendors, and performances by local bands. Stuff like that is kind of hard to put together for a weekday. Also, our fireworks show does not compete against other fireworks shows in the area (such as the ones over nearby Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake).
