@mirr1984 I agree I get a sad feeling when I'm about to finish a great game....it's almost like I don't want it to end:( I love the characters and story and get connected and then it ends. It's especially sad when it's not a fulfilling ending. Like with xxxholic (I know it's a manga/anime but still...) the ending to that seemed....incomplete like it was missing something and it wasn't finished.

I finished Breath of Fire 3 last night for the first time in a few years. Hearing Teepo say 'I didn't ask for this power... I just wanted to be with my family... Rei.. Ryu' was pretty nostalgic and sad. Makes you think back to the start of the game, attempting to mug Bunyan on the Highway, and what an epic adventure it has been.

Most people are usually happy when they finish a game... personally I get a sad feeling. Especially if it has a good story...

Man listening to this makes me nostalgic. Remembering when I first played this game, and Rei was my favorite character. Being reunited with him after such a long time was wonderful. I just can't imagine the anguish that he must have felt, thinking his two best friends had died, and that he was powerless to protect them.

Then he goes off to avenge them. Becoming almost a monster in the process. Then to see find out Ryu was alive all along? Doesn't that just beat all? Then later on with Teepo...

A great rpg that will be missed by those rpg gamers including me, so far the best among the series of BOF is BOF3, although all of them are great RPGs. This game has been a part of my childhood memories a big big part of it, Since 1999 when my brothers bought it, I watched them playing, but after few months I also play and finish the game almost 10 times using different members.

Yeah I agree with you, there's something in this game that made it so precious, its story line and music. I'll never forget this song and the 2 most touching moments, wherein Ryu and Rei met again after a long time in their and there comes the song while they reminisce the precious old memories they had. And also almost at end of the game where teepo and ryu met but sadly they need to fight. There are many more touching moments and music in this game, but those 2 are "FOR OLD FRIENDS".

Although.. I'm sad it's not famous like the Final Fantasy series, I mean..

I personally think that the (VERY) great stories of the FF games are nothing compared to Breath of Fire 3..

I cried so many times playing this, you know? Especially at the times where you hear this song..

I want to erase my memories of this game just so I could experiance it once more for the first time, a greater bliss- I have NEVER in my life experianced

Yeah the reason is because bof1 and all the bof parts after bof3 werent THAT great. BoF2 & 3 were great, even though BoF2 wasnt as good as BoF3.

I know. This game doesn't have enough love. It's one of the best songs I ever heard, even if it just a song in a game...

It represents so much sorrow and revenge that Rei has, just for Ryu and Teepo... Wanting to find them and get revenge...Just like Ryu, he tried so hard to find them again...

And Teepo... He... T_T Myria might not really be evil, or that evil, just crazy, but he changed for the worse when she got him somehow... And you had to kill him... Even though he was like Family...

He's had revenge on his mind for years and up to that point was mostly in a feral state.

He never becomes cheerful again like when he was a kid, as I recall he was by far the most sarcastic member of your team from then on.

Well said. If someone had hurt the people that I cared about.... I'd probably be thinking along the same lines of Rei. When someone takes away your reason for living, a lot of people act differently to it. This is one of the ways that Rei reacted and in my mind, it's not necessarily wrong but maybe misguided. When Rei found out Ryu was alive, he felt really guilty and that was why he kept going. In the end, Ryu gave him a reason to keep going again.

Exactly. Maybe that's why he tried to kill Ryu, too - he couldn't believe, nor accept, that he was still alive. Because if Ryu was still alive, his life would have became pointless. Fortunately, Ryu gave him "a reason" to live, which is all one needs.

In-fucking-deed, when some1 kills some1 i like/love, i won't fucking rest till i've got his head bangling on the motherfucking spear of motherfucking (but not really) Garr, this song made me cry so hard i would send something to my friends, an E-mail just to know they're still alive, i get scared when i hear something when i know theres nobody in that room, i start moving quietly to my katana or light sword and a lantern so i could defend myself in case of a burglar (like Rei ^^)
