@geoffdoor what a waste of writing space, YOU may not have much taste for decent and proper music, where u can actually hear the words, which are sung, not rapcrapped, but please have the respect to keep ur sordid comments to urself and not desecrate the valid and valued opinions of others. We love Shana na and if u dont, fine, so dont watch!!!!!!

I'm English and have only just found these guys. Think they're teriffic. Music from my era, so I obviously really enjoy it We had a couple of similar groups, but these guys are good. Thanks. MM.
I remember when I first saw this on TV. Yeah, is it wrong to admit that I still get that "If that's where 'boy cooties' from, I think I want to catch a few!" feeling when I see Santini belt this one out? I love these guys! I like the current line-up as well, although only Screamin' Scott, Jocko, and Donny are still in (my heart-throb, Chico, passed in 1998! :(), but it will always be the ten guys I grew up hearing that do it for me!
I wish they would have Johnny Contardo be the "mentor" on American Idol for many reasons. (1) To show the youth what REAL singing is, (2) to remind America of Sha Na Na and (3) What better person to mentor young singers?
@sshelget Seriously, most of the Idol 'hopefuls' are not very good. They start out promising, but as soon as they leve their comfort zone... yikes. Not to mention almost every performer today sounds exactly the same... too breathy or too shouty... (for lack of technical terms.)
@cevc918 - I totally agree with you. I haven't heard an "original" sounding voice for over a decade. Everybody sounds the same! You described it perfectly: "too breathy or shouty" - in addition, all those annoying "runs" (where they hold a note forever and go up and down with their voice).
@sshelget That is brilliant !!!! Johnny who has one of the best voices of my lifetime would be a wonderful mentor. He gives voice lessons so he would be able to help the contestants bring about a better performance. No one delivers a song quite like Johnny so he could also help them on technique and stage presence. Great suggestion.
Johnny Contardo fans are pathetic. The guy has a nice voice. I can't NOT like him. It's just the stupid posts by obviously lonely women and a few men stating their love and LUST over him.
Back off little boy. His fans including myself, we are far from pathetic. We know talent when we see and hear it. and if we comment about his looks, who cares. sorry you don't have anyone lusting after you, so don't take it out on us and Johnny.
And... it's not like Johnny doesn't know what we're saying about him... they way he moves and looks into the camera, he's playing it up! It's all part of being Johnny Contardo!
I'm pretty sure he does.... have you seen the video of him with one of his vocal students?? Where he's singing " Not A Bad Place To Start"?? O-M-G!!! The "viagra" line.... "swoon" !!! LOL
Really liked this show as a kid. Looking back, they should have had at least one 50's car on the set. They were common enough back then - poor people drove em.
Mr. Johnny Contardo... his voice is still 'Quite-Awesome'!! Mr. Johnny Contardo was my Fave when I was much, much younger, & today he's still my Fave...'Sigh'!!
Hi msdemme - I lurve SNN too but be careful about drawing too much attention to all of us enjoying copyrighted SNN on YouTube as these clips may be pulled; and we may not get the SNN DVD set at all; then where would I get my daily fix of SNN...? Best cheers to you.
