no band unfortunately. rick's performing with backing tracks here. rick opened for The Cascades and there wouldve been no time for Rick's band to get off and The Cascades to get on with all the production involved. For no band, it sounded great!
Look for photos of Elvis in late 1970, around November/December...when he was in concert and meeting President Nixon...his hair was just as long as Rick's is here in this video...the same year that Rick is portraying.
great show...as you mention in the description iv've seen alot of show's from the 70's and 80's rick played my home town of cincinnati often..including a show at the cincinnati gardens just after his broadway run in 78.thanks Tom, these bring back alot of good memories.. where was the band??
The entire night started with Justin Edwards (an ETA) opening for Rick with a few songs. Then Rick did his show. Then intermission, then a female entertainer opened the second show for a group called The Cascades, who then did their show. So instead of having to rush and change the band & instruments in intermission, Rick did his part with backing tracks, however they're not ordinary tracks, he takes the best tracks available out there (as there are many) & he edits them for hours...pretty good
Ok where's the band?
