Love Tina's voice but Ike's guitar riffs really define this era of her career. He was just as much a genius as she still is. They sound perfect together...obviously they were not meant to be together personally but that is another issue.

no one sings this better than Tina, Deep Purple has a version, and needless to say it was awful 4 min or more of formless musical intro as a start. Seriously look it up and get the barf bag out. Celine Dion lacks emotion singing it, at least Annie Lenox, and Cyndi Lauper get close to what it should sound like, and don't ruin the song.

I love Tina, but the two a**holes (Spector and Ike) obviously played a big part in making this one of the classics. Bring back the Wall of Sound and Ike's meanass guitar licks.

@classic1008 Ike Turner invented Rock n' Roll and Phil Spector was responsible not only for the original, superior version of this immortal song but also for the superb guitar break on "On Broadway" by the Drifters. Granted they were both assholes, but in this case nice guys truly did finish last.
