Joan of Arc may have claimed inspiration from god but she killed so many of her own soldiers in badly thought out strategies of warfare..it was a blessing she was handed over by the French authorities otherwise she would have decimated the whole of the French nation..why anyone wants to sing songs about her and her being made a saint I cannot begin to comprehend.. I mean nobody would do it for Marechal Petain when he set up the vichy government during WW2

Joan of Arc did claim inspiration from God, and did lead (against initial stiff opposition, discrimination and ridicule) French armies toward several important victories during the Hundred years' War, and was treated like s*** for it - after being further abused and ridiculed and then executed by burning at the stake, eventually they decided to make her a saint. I guess that was their way of saying "er, maybe we were wrong, sorry!"
