  • @Full swag....We, uh, drilled one hole in, uh, sulphur, la. They already had a well there. Multi million dollar well. We drilled one right here, a multi million dollar well. See, these guys from texas, they all put their money in houses together, they wanted to build them over here. We did the same thing,we put up the houses and everything. When some of them got there some of them oh they drove up with trunks full of beer and whiskey, they wanted to party. Couldn't drive home. ..

We drilled one right here, multi-million dollar well. those guys in Texas are putting all of their money in houses... • Holy hell I can't understand a word of it lol. I got "beer" and "whiskey", that's about it. 'Course i'm from WV, although I don't talk like your typical "hick". When I leave WV, I talk like your typical Ohioan. Mainly because it's easier to converse with other people when you don't sound like a hillbilly. But this "cajun" stuff is very hard to understand. Kinda sounds like the farmer guy off of the Waterboy.

  • @WVUeersfan09 yeah he's got a really thick accent. read the comments below if you wanna know what he says!

  • I was born in Louisiana and I am tellin ya when I talk to my dad on DA phone I am like What??

  • @MShirley0154 lol

  • @MShirley0154 hahahahaa

  • Well, the rain wouldn't pass there, because we had a well here and a well here,

& they had a fault in the middle. It dried up. ?Droit pas la? (Thats not right)

Then he had to call his old lady! Go home and tell his wife, they didn't have no house!

  • When the summer got there, the came to the hole.

They drove up with their trunks full of beer and whiskey, they were gonna party, you know! They had a dry hole! I wasn't there when they lost it, but them other crews said, one of them had given all his money, his house, and everything. They said that men was crying over there.

That's a lot of money to build a well to go dry like that, you know!?!

  • We drilled a water hole in Sulfur, LA

Now, they already had a well there, a Multi-Million Dollar well.

We drilled one right here, a Multi-Million Dollar well.

So, these guys from Texas, they all put their money and houses together, because they wanted to drill, in that same sand.

They put up the houses and everything.

  • I'd just like to say hello from Sunset, I lived here for years, born in Opelousas. I love our accents. It'd be better if we had video, though, but I love how all I hear from the young guy is "Yeah?" "Mmm-hm. Yep." "Right." It's great! :)

  • @Phoaenix hahaha.... the young guy is me! and i actually did understand most of it!

  • ?What? I'm the only one in my family that can understand accents and I didn't get one thing from that.

  • @AradiaMina hahahahaha

  • That was very clear to me!

  • @shell79yve really? where u from if you dont mind me asking?

  • i can understand most of it.

  • @tapxodoll nice!

  • sulphur, louisiana.... hes talking about offshore or onshore oilfield drilling and how some dudes from texas came and drilled and partied with a trunk full of beer and whiskey...............then hes just talking about different wells and how much money they cost......da ville, louisiana let em know....ah ya yi

  • @Ethansr11 hahaha... pretty good!

  • sweet I got all of that HAHHAHA is that bad ????

  • @MrRuckus207

    i know, huh!?!

  • @MrRuckus207 hahahahahahaha... maybe!

  • Something about a million-dollar well and Texas and putting money into housing. I'd need to listen to it with no background noise in this room before I get it all. There used to be rich accents like this all over the United States before television homogenized most of us.

  • @danaseilhan "television homogenized most of us" true that!

  • mercy somthing about drilling a well and drilling right here and somthing bout' some folks from texas ?

  • @bigsammieking hahahah

  • dug a hole, multi million dollar well....beer in the trunk, lot of money u know, then he hadnt told his ole lady ha

  • I'm from South Louisiana and can understand what he is saying but only if I really try. That's a serious accent.

Talkin bout how people in texas was tryna get money thru da cattle/ hogz/ SUMTHIN! hell i dunno. and some people drove up in a truck and had...beer? sheesh, that's a terribly thick accent and i'm FROM louisiana

  • He's saying that he likes to see homos naked.

  • No he's not... hah

  • (see below)

They was gonna fall again probably should be transcribed as They was gonna (try) for oil again.

  • haha yeah

  • Here is what Pops is saying:

We drill, euh, we drill one hole in, euh, Sulphur, Louisiana. They already had a well there. Multimillion dollar well. We drilled one right here. A multimillion dollar well. See, these guys from Texas, they all putting their money and houses together, they wanting to drill one in the middle. (Wanting to) Hit the same thing.

  • They put up their houses and everything. When Slumberger got there to slumberger the hole, he .. he drove up. The trunks full of beer and whiskey. They was gonna fall again. hit a dry hole. Had a fault in there.

I wasnt there when they logged it. But them other crew said one of them he had give his house and all his money. He said the man he was crying on there. Thats a lot of money to lose on a well, on a chance.

  • Well, the vein would pass there because we had a well here and a well here, but they had a fault in the middle. Thats the whole difference. Dry as a powder house.

Then he hadnt told his old lady. He had to go home and tell his wife they had no more house.

  • hahahahaha.... good job!

  • Thank you. I listened to him and realized that I could understand him easily and apparently a lot of other people couldn't. So I decided to transcribe the whole thing. I am from Jennings and I have heard a lot of people with that accent. This was an interesting video.

  • HAHAHAA!!!! That's awesome! Glad you liked the video, thanks for transcribing it!

  • My fiancee is from Jennings, too. She said it wasn't all that difficult to understand him but then, she also spent some time out in Longville. LOL!

  • he talking abou drilling million dallor wells amd puting money in house

  • something like that, read above, dmarcantel got most of it!

  • I think it has to do with a texan with cash building a house and a water well. and now the wells share the same water vain.

    I'm not sure

  • hahaha... not quite, looks like dmarcentel got it pretty close, read his comments!

  • At the end he was complaining about how they keep drilling the oil wells and it bothering the people. That's all i could catch on a summary.

  • hahaha... sorta, check out dmarcentels comments above. he got it pretty good!

  • wow...i grew up in louisiana around cajun accents and I cannot understand almost any of that!

  • hahaha... nice

  • he said that dudes from texas came to drill a multi-million dollar oil well...he said they already had one there in louisiana..but drilled another..say texans always put they money into houses and whatever else they wanna do..and the well was the same thing...say they came there with trunks full of beer and whiskey..said some dude named hawkins..and his ol lady..shit..I couldnt get the rest..bet I'm the closest!

  • Did he lose his money down the well?

  • haha... nope

  • He's talking about a well being drilled and some guys from Texas coming up with beer and whisky. That right? I didn't watch all of it but that's what I think I heard from what I played.

  • that's part of it, there's still more to the story

  • Dude, I could get stoned and listen to him for hours!!! No disrespect intended. Okay, so some men came from Texas and drilled some oil wells...big ones. I didn't get the rest.

  • HAHAHA! yeah you got some of it right.

  • I can understand parts of it. He's talking about an oil well but there's lots I don't understand so you're not alone.

  • yeah, his accent is pretty intense

  • drilling in South Louisiana.. drilling well.. go out from Texas put their money in Housing...then something about trunk full of whiskey... you said Ay-yi yi so you must be from South Louisiana.

  • HAHA... getting close

  • Lol I think he's talking about smuggling beer and whiskey in the trunk of a car...I've never heard anybody talk like that from sunset

  • HAHA! well you got one part of it right, he does talk about beer and whisky, but no smuggling! please rate and subscribe!
