@nino10221 Nein. Du kannst aber die Songs mir so nen Kabel mitlaufen lassen, wenn du zB einen iPod hast. Du brauchst da so nen Kabel .
It's the Alesis DM-6 ofcourse. The heads are not mesh, but feel a bit like a leather couch, which makes them feel realistic to play and they feel comfortable. At the back of the module, there are different types of connections: headphones, output for an amplifier, mix in (to connect an MP3 or w/e), USB Midi connection (to a Mac or PC). There are different types of drum kits built into the module. This ranges from plain rock to hip-hop etc. You can also make 5 own presets with sounds you choose.
@PuR1fy In total, there are 108 different sounds, of which you can make your own set. Making your own kit is quite easy: you press the voice-button, play the pad and then cycle through the sounds. Press save, choose what preset you want to save it in, press save again and you're done. *he shows some presets and how quickly you can change the kit you're using* There are also 40 songs that you can play along with in the module. They are found under pattern and you can again cycle through them.
@PuR1fy There are drums included in the jam tracks, but you can turn these off to play your own stuff. You can also change the tempo if it's too fast. There is also a metronome included in the module (you can change the sound of the metronome as well: tick, bell, voice ...). Of course there is also a volume knob. You can also see how to play the drums in the jam track on the module (cfr. the lights in the 'pads' on the module). That's about it for the DM-6, but there is a lot more to discover.
@PuR1fy Then there is a marketing speech about that you can always pose questions and that there is a 33-day return service in their store. His name is Tommy. :D

You can buy the snake that has the extra plugs for the one pad and one cymbol on alesis.com, snake+tom+cymbol=about $200, so the $250 price tage is perfectly right.
This is can be used for just about any program including logic, garagband, pro tools, ableton and ezdrummer.
It has a usb/midi cable, which means it will plug in just like a midi controller, but for drum triggering.
is there any way i can update the pedal to a double pedal. and thoes this electronic kits lag because the ones i have used lag a little bit a kind of get me out of rythm. maybe the ones i used were broken or bad quality.
das war ihm jetzt zu langsam... xD und immer, wenn irgendwas langsam ist, kann man dazu nicht mehr spielen, weil man dann den takt nicht mehr halten kann ROFLMAO... :D
@moviejoen It's cool. At least you can speak it. Most americans can't even speak it correctly. Anyways. Be careful though. I saw videos of people saying that they use audacity to record it. Not a sure thing, I get my drumkit in a few days, if you haven't already tried the program I'll let you know how it works.
despite my not understanding german, you did a pretty good demo of the unit. I'm more interested in interacting with midi software via USB, but it's got some great built in tools to get you started.
A word to the wise. If you are considering buying this drum set, then the firmware update is a "must do". I was very unhappy with this set at first and I was advised to do the update and so far so good it seems to have corrected most if not all of the initial problems which I was experiencing. Once you get this set up and working right, it really does do the job quite well. I am really enjoying these drums much better now.
@zninja1, The update corrects a problem where the snare drum has issues both with the overall volume of the snare drum and also where the drum doesn't seem to trigger quite right. I would notice that I would hit let's say several straight beats on the snare and although I would hit them with the same force, one of more beats would sound much louder or softer than the rest. The update took that problem away completely.
@zninja1 The way that I feel right now, I would say yes, it is cheaper than most other comparable sets out there, I think it sounds real good, it is somewhat sturdy and easy to play, all of the hardware seems to be fine, of the 2 main problems which I encountered, both, 1st the firmware update and then the issue with the tempermental Value control, turned out to be problems which had solutions and not all the sets seem to have these issues ! Let me know how it works out !
@zninja1, I also had a problem with the Value + or - button not working right. I thought at first the update corrected that but it was intermittant so it didn't. Crazy as it sounds, the DM6 module, at least in my case, had to be in a more horizontal position than I was using it, I changed the angle to make it more horizontal so It is fine now. I am happy with the set now but it took some work to resolve some initial issues.
I have purchased the Alesis DM6 and have the common problems that come with the module software (Snare too quite, high-hat and snare won't trigger simultaneously), and so I went to do the update, but I have a problem. I've tried it from two different computers and it always tells me it updated successfully but it only worked once for about a day. I can not get it to work. I've searched extensively but have not come across a solution or anyone having a similar problem. Any help would be great.
Yes, I intend to try that, since I posted that comment about the DM6, I have discovered that if I turn it on about 15 minutes before I use it that it works fine. It just refuses to work correctly when I first turn it on. Thanks for your suggestion . I'll let you know how it plays out.

I just ordered this kit, I am scared cause my wife will findout soon, oh well...they are out of stock at the place i ordered it from and its christmas eve morning..... so I prolly wont get it ill next year sometime but fuk it.......
i received my dm6 a few days ago and it's realy easy to play on it, the pads do not make a lot of noise, i'm living in a flat and it's one of the reasons why i choose an electronic drumset, i'm playing without carpet under the drum so the kick make a bit of noise but not a lot, it is very reasonable! i think it's a good choice, i was searching for a drumset to record songs (i'm also playing guitar and bass) and i find it a good way to start composing completes songs.
Hi! Nope... The cymbals have only one chockable zone, but you can play two differents sounds (ride and bell) on the ride cymbal by playing on it more (bell) or less (ride) stronger.
The snare drum is dual zone, rim shot and middle of the pad. All of the toms are single zone, and all of the pads including bass and cymbals are velocity censored.
nope i'm playing using my hifi soundsystem (i have good one so the sound is really nice :D!), my guitar amplifier or a headset. Sorry but i have no idea of which amplifier is the best for a drumset!
Thanks for the vid, I bought this drum set (I am actually waiting for the reception!) and i was searching for some infos, photos and vids but there is not a lot about it! i just can't wait to receive it, it seems really nice to play on it! the only thing i miss is an english translation 'cause I'm french and i do not speak deutch :$ ... thank you one more time!
PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH!!!! xD

could you please tell me if the pads make alot of noise? ... im planning to buy one but i dont understand german very well
thasuperdutchman 2 years ago
i received my dm6 a few days ago and it's realy easy to play on it, the pads do not make a lot of noise, i'm living in a flat and it's one of the reasons why i choose an electronic drumset, i'm playing without carpet under the drum so the kick make a bit of noise but not a lot, it is very reasonable! i think it's a good choice, i was searching for a drumset to record songs (i'm also playing guitar and bass) and i find it a good way to start composing completes songs.

@ludodalla
hi guy...are the cymbal pads dual-zone? or you can play them only in a way?
Yamizzolo 2 years ago
Hi! Nope... The cymbals have only one chockable zone, but you can play two differents sounds (ride and bell) on the ride cymbal by playing on it more (bell) or less (ride) stronger.
ludodalla 2 years ago
The snare drum is dual zone, rim shot and middle of the pad. All of the toms are single zone, and all of the pads including bass and cymbals are velocity censored.

do you play with an ampilifier? so yes; wich one is the best?
speedRickspeed 2 years ago
nope i'm playing using my hifi soundsystem (i have good one so the sound is really nice :D!), my guitar amplifier or a headset. Sorry but i have no idea of which amplifier is the best for a drumset!
ludodalla 2 years ago
thanks though

Thanks for the vid, I bought this drum set (I am actually waiting for the reception!) and i was searching for some infos, photos and vids but there is not a lot about it! i just can't wait to receive it, it seems really nice to play on it! the only thing i miss is an english translation 'cause I'm french and i do not speak deutch :$ ... thank you one more time!
