It really angers me that others have driven you into feeling the need to justify your shout-outs. They don't deserve you and have obviously learnt nothing of the wisdom you are trying to impart. In an earlier video you claimed this was a terrain channel. In my mind its so much more than that, this is Bills channel and its all about Bill

Hey dude, please be yourself and do what you want to do. Dont settle for the status quo if thats not what youre interested in. Things will only change if you allow or want them to. You should never in my humble opinion bow down to others beliefs and values. I feel that YouTube is all about expressing yourself. Why follow someone elses template when you have created your own and it works. You have given me so much inspiration and hope. Im sure others feel the same way.

Would you go to mcdonalds and tell your friends you had a great burger there, probably not (even if you did get a good burger, unlikely but even if you did!) that kind of promotion for them is not needed. However, if a local burger joint opened around the corner and you got a great burger from there, would you tell people? Of course you would.
Its the same here, finding new channels to watch, learning new techniques - or refreshing old ones is ALWAYS a good thing. There are a lot of talented people on YouTube who are part of our niche market and 'community', all trying to show their skills, their projects, their stories and receive recognition from their peers for the great work they do.
Even amongst a niche market like ours, it can be hard to find those new people. Introducing us to those people is great! I love seeing your work, I love listening to your stories and your 'rambles' ... and I love finding new people. People like you are an asset to all those they interact with. There are no 'unwritten rules' mate, the only rules we need (and characteristics we should strive to behold) are to be kind, open, honest and respectful ... all of which you have in abundance mate!

Yo Bill, keep the shout outs coming. I find it handy in finding new people to subscribe to. When i dont have much time to trawl youtube to find them - shout outs are like a map to give good directions!

My thoughts on shout out: Why would you have to shout out to known people? THEY"RE KNOWN. Meaning, chances are, I'm subscribed to them already. The people we should shout out to are people like Irish Ranger who are as good as the known guys but aren't as known.

A great leader has many followers that want to learn from him.. Take his advice.. A great leader will also have to accept critizisim.. and accept it for what its worth.. But dont change because its who you are and what you are doing for this community that got you over a thousand subsribers and a loyal following.
So what some put you on blast, or you loose a few subscribers.. I have lost a few because they wanted me to change. I put up for the community. I support the community. Do the same.

One thing to remember, just because someone is new as far as time on Youtube, doesn't mean that they aren't skilled, either through long-term experience, or just natural-born talent.
I don't care if someone is on here for 2 days before I see them, and if the skills are there I'll say something. I think the people complaining are worried honestly. Don't change your thinking Bill. i believe there is no harm in raising awareness to a channel - in the end the channel owner has to prove to the viewer - you shouldn't feel responsible for that.
