Safe way: twist it off, but protect it from shooting off with your index finger

Shoot it off: twist it a little and then push it off with thumb

LIKE A BOSS: shake the bottle as much as possible, and push it off with thumb

this simply skips the most common problem: how to take off the cage. worst, it jumps to a state where the cage is actually off. truth is, you just don't take it off, it sits there untill cork is out - otherwise, if bottle was shaken, it'll burst.

All of the tips in this video are valuable except for the last. There should be no "classic" or any other kind of pop. Having opened thousands of bottles of champagne over a 20 year career in the wine and spirit industry, I've only failed on two or three occasions to keep a bottle from making anything louder than a soft tsisching sound, and quite often no sound at all. Allowing even one atmosphere to escape with any sort of pop is a waste of good sparkle. Other than that though, a good video.

Making the classic "pop", without the help of a corkscrew, is going to waste the valuable gases u pay for inside the champagne.

The difference between a wine and champagne is that the latter has gases and does not have to be in a bulb-shaped glass to get the aroma to permeate ur senses.
