@tupic310 The air intake is usually near the handle bars. and some people put Snorkels to get the intake above the bars. So the water has to be very deep.

it easy to check if it is safe to put lift kit on your machine , put the machine on a lift or lift the front with the jack , remove the front wheel , remove the lower shock bold on each side and check if it have enough room to put lift kit between the shock and the a-arm. a lift kit add 1 inch on the suspension side os you must have 1 inch of room to clear the loft kit safely , if you have to force the shock fo install a lift kit that will stress en t ball joint badly and will fail very soon

no lift kit can be put for the 2001 4x4 model , snorket must be home made !

You can get a lift kit... Highlifter has a 2in one

They have one, but if you put it on the front you will break your ball joint , the left a-arm can no more be extended on the 2001 manual version becaust the left cv axle are shorter than the right one, i think lift kit can be put on the automactic.

probably not, normally to use 27" tire you should use lift kit , and to use large front tire you should use wheel spacer !

it's the best atv for mud because the 500 powerplant, manual transmission and solid rear axle ! this is the powerful semi-automatic engine on the market ! has better suspension than suzuki quadruner 500 and vinson !

atv with rear cv axle and big mud tire broke often.

atv with automatic cvt transmission with big mud tire break too fast.

yea i have one of these and they are a nic quad. How do the tires fit cause i thought 26 tires will rub?

You will need 2" lift kit ro prevent tire rub on the fender, then wheel spacer or offset wheel to fit 10 " front wide tire

i have the same bike but mine is a 300 and i have 26 ITP mud lite on mine and they don't rub but they will brake an axle

26" dont really rub on eney quad 25s are stock mostly on quads if u were to get 28s they will rub just depends on qhat kind arctic cats eney size will like 27s basicly fit cuz tere lots of room on the cats

It an Arctic cat 500 2001,640 lbs stock , with quad link semi-independant solid rear axle. Polaris are heavier 750 lbs stock for the sportsman 500 and cv rear axle is alway break with large tire with big tread. That my opinion. polaris are great but heavy machine and for myself i prefre solid axle because it are stronger that cv axle !
