I like it portable approach, but how do you attach a ring flash and a stabilizer?

The NEX is more of a second camera - and totally not intended to ever replace your SLR. But there are times when you want the creative control of on SLR and the compact size of a point and shoot. And for the size of this camera, the performance is pretty stunning. So YOU really have to set your objectives and decide which camera is right for YOU. Lens system investment is a big factor to consider too..

I've first wanted to buy the Nex 5. But then i recognized 2 things. Do i really need a magnesium body ? And what about Full HD 1080i Video Quality. It is only worth if you have an LCD wich supports Full HD. There would not much different to 720. I live in Turkey and the price here is more expensive then in USA. I was able to catch a great campaign and so i bought the Nex3 with 16mm and 18-55mm lens for just 900 USD. Normally it costs 1100 USD with just the 18-55mm lens. Amazing Camera !

@urgyen96 the NEX lacks the "handling" of a SLR. It's your decision, but I would take a DSLR instead of the NEX.

@urgyen96 The NEX series from Sony will offer a huge range of features that are very similar to a high-end DSLR camera. Of course, the quality is not as great as a DSLR, but if you are the type of skill level that you are saying, then it will probably be in your best interest to get the NEX-5 camera. It's a very high end Non-SLR camera, but the full-sized APS sensor will allow you to mimic the flexibility of an SLR. I can tell you this: you won't be disappointed with the Sony NEX-5.
