  • "Terrible events are afoot..."

What he really wanted to say was:

"Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot."

I swore to myself that I wouldn't pull a Sherlock Holmes reference, oops.

  • poor old aggrajag...

  • @wolftamer9 i thought it was ajajagargrax

  • Slaaaaaaaaarty!

  • wale is very clever

    for a splat

  • I'm not fluent in this, but why would there be a perfectly constructed whale instead of, let's say, a bloody mess of random appendages and chaos guts screaming for merciful death? Wouldn't the more probable stuff happen instead of nicer, unlikely constructs?

  • @MrStillmans how much more improbable is it that something could come out just right instead of the millions of ways it could go wrong?

  • "You think you've got problems ... What are you supposed to do if you ARE a manically depressed robot ?" Haha got to love Marvin <3

  • if you read the books you find out why the petunias thought " not again "

  • @wx5767 Thank you. I will read them.

  • @wx5767 that freakin thing was phsycotic

  • @ilikeknifing777 Yes! And every single word of it is delightfully insane, or insanely delightful! :)

  • @ilikeknifing777 haha, very much so :)

  • @wx5767 why?

  • @wx5767 Why? TELL ME!

  • @themightyjoseph HAHA.... uh... its prety compicated... i will tell you it is in the 3rd book, though (Life the Universe and Everything) you may be able to look it up on a forum or something...but it is to much for me to exlain here.

  • @themightyjoseph Theres a creature name Agraja in the book, Arthur had killed this creature many times inthe stories. The creature once been an old man who had a heart attack when Arthur teleported in front of him, once a rabbit Arthur killed for food, once a fly Arthur squashed. The Agraja realizes that Arthurs killing him everytimes he reincarnates. When the missiles turned in to the petunias it was actually Agraja. Agraja saw Athur on the ships window and thought "Oh no, not again" as it fell

  • @wx5767 an its a very funny thought 2

  • @wx5767 its the first time I see this movie, and i ,ve never read the book ,but I think Iknow what the petunia meant ......its a cycle, but it can be avoid. Or maybe its the 3 principles by SIDNEY BANKS having an influence in my thinking

  • @wx5767 so why did thery think that?

  • @wx5767 TELL US!!! lol

  • @wx5767 Why did it?

  • @wx5767 but it didn't tell us al lot more about the universe than we know now, sadly ;D

  • @wx5767 Which book do you have to read? I've just finished the Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

  • @Theatrefreak7 i've read them all... i believe the explanation is in Life, The Universe, And everything... though i could be wrong

  • Hello Ground! :D

    *death*

  • LOL @ 6:11 - 6:14

  • 0.33 is that Eddy or Marvin?

  • "I wonder if it'll be friends with me. Hello, Ground!" *THUD* lmao

  • That girl is soooo hot!!

  • the whale's brit haha..

  • I love Bill Bailey.

  • I love Bill Nighy

  • The bowl of petunias(who incidentally, was names Agrajag) was just pissed because once again, he had been killed by Arthur Dent.

  • lol i dont think whales are that cognitively aware. let alone a bowl of petunias

  • @sonnetxi These petunias, however... (readthebooksreadthebooks)

  • @NintendoSaturday oh yeah its posessed or somethin right?

  • Hmm .. I think if those missiles were really nuclear-tipped, they wouldn't have to actually hit the ship to kill ... Just exploding anywhere within few kilometers from the ship would perfectly knock it out of the sky ...

    But again, it's a comedy :)

  • NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! It's Wictor of the underworld movie but he is dead

  • this has a lot of harry potter actors/ British actors

  • I believe it's explained in one of the later books that the reason the bowl of petunias thinks "Oh no, not again!" is because it's in fact another incarnation of the spirit of a being that has been inadvertently killed many times by Arthur Dent. I can't remember his name nor any other ways Arthur accidentally kills it, but I remember the book(s) list several, all quite hilarious and random. The character understandably builds up quite the grudge and a portion of the story is dedicated to it.

  • @kalibos I'm sorry,I'm marking this as spam for spoilers.

  • That whale bit is one of the best explanations for how humans deal with an explore life ever.

  • I've always thought there was a weird design to the Earth, actually. Magdascar being a small island off the coast of Africa, Sicily being a small island off the coast of Italy, Portugal being a small island off the coast of Spain, etc. It's like someone thought, "Hey, wouldn't all these little islands be like the point at the end of an exclamatory mark? They'd REALLY bring out the bigness of the land masses, wouldn't they?"

  • @QueenBoadicea

Portugal is NOT an island it is "connected" to Spain.

Adams wanted to make a name that 'sounded' offensive and vulgar without actually being so. Sorta like Fuddruckers.

  • @harlandwirth The female members of a race of quadrupedal mammals from the planet earth notable for the the meaty sacs on their underbellies and the large volume of nutritious liquid these can secrete; although all mammalian females possess these sacs in varying shapes and numbers, as do some males, though as a rule they lack the glands necessary to produce liquid. Domesticated for their nutritious organs and secretions, called 'beef' and 'milk' respectively, they are often found near humans.
