It's expensive because it takes an incredible amount of energy to produce it. It is pet and kid friendly, but don't let the magic 'organic' label convince you that it is good for the planet.

We can't afford corn glutten meal. It's application rate is way too high and therefore costs about 4x's as much as conventional methods.
