  • I have to say Beck and Jimi Hendrix were able to get sounds out of a Strat like no one else I ever heard

  • I want this video on my W888 phone.

  • Fucking Great!

  • I gotta look again for Jimmy Page! Funny, cause we just watched this vid at a New years party, we saw Robert Plant sitting at the back table, and we were joking that Page wasn't invited!

Somebody clue me as to when you can see him in the vid!

  • Guitar as a voice. His voice sounds great

  • This video went viral on Gaborone

  • Vinnie Colaiuta's face at 1.25

  • I love that filthy big E Chord at the end .

  • Anyone who likes this should check out Andy Timmons' new version off the ATB plays Sgt Pepper record

  • He makes this shit look easy. Fuck. Beck is the best.

  • 2:09 read them lips... I was thinking that as he said it... LOL

  • to all viewers of this video: buy the dvd, it's soo worth it! Best dvd i ever bought ;)

  • robert plant was there also!

  • You've got to be a real dutch-bag to dislike this.. to the 13 miserable sods who thought themselves clever. May the flees of a thousand camels fly up your arses.

  • To all the Beck fans, you need to watch this version from japan 99 on here.

    Amazing

  • How can any music person not love this???

  • fabo...my heart bleeds

  • That's audioshop made. :P

  • Guys,, pay no attention to the ignorant, know-it-all, asshole. It's a Fender "roller" nut, not a locking nut.

  • @deafcat1964 no his guitar in this vid is just a locking nut without the lock meaning he uses locking tuning key wich is ok i do he also uses some sorta ethnic or old jazz tuning wich is a nice change, but yeah that one guy was just being dick. I think its a wilkinson or maybe a old fender trem that he took alot of tension off of and let rise off the body it's a nice little thing to add to a guitars playability.

  • Its not a locking nut. Its a roller nut.

  • Or that he uses a "whammy bar" to bend the pitch! My God man!

  • When people say how does he stay in tune reveals one of Jeffs greatest tricks

He Bends INTO Tune despite the guitar....

    Master!

  • Absolutely awesome! Jeff Beck, you're the best! (remember when we met in Rome, Italy? Sting's gig, at the stadium...)

May you walk in sunshine (with your fender), always...

Melody Fox (aka the Princess of Rock)

    Love Peace Music

  • some guitarists are great to listen, to but not really enjoyable to watch..with Beck, emotion just permeates every note and movement on stage..his sincerity is so obvious that moves like the classic "lean back" at 2:53 come off as if they were meant to be : )

  • 1:24 best fill fucking ever... if u've listened to this 5 million times u wait for that high tone.. so good

  • So can we see Jimmy Page anytime?

  • how the hell does he stay in tune?

  • @jjhomefri Because its a Fender

  • @zavier117 an his fender got a modified "ball nut" with minimum of contact, so the stings stay in tune

  • @jjhomefri He is playing a Jeff Beck signature guitar that has several features that help keep it in tune (i.e. the rolling nut.) and the guitar is also set up professionally so it stays right.

Oh, and he's JEFF BECK!!! (That helps. lol.)

  • @jjhomefri The little things at the top of the fretboard at the nut. Can't remember for the life of me what they are called...

  • @theoriginaljeffro oh duh... they said it down there: Rolling Nut!

  • @theoriginaljeffro ....It's called a locking nut, where the fu*k you guys been? floyd rose....yeah i know it's a fender and he's not using a floyd rose......just google floyd rose douchbags

  • @hegotallofthatone Oh wow. Thank you so much for the enlightening response! How kind of you - and you are oh so polite. Douchbag? Is that some sort of salutation? Like, "Hey, go fuck yourself!"?

By the way, go fuck yourself. Thanks.

  • Next thing you know he's going to tell us that Beck's playing a FENDER STRATOCASTER in this video!

  • @jjhomefri the thing at the top that's shiny is a locking system :D

  • @jjhomefri because he is a GOD!!

  • @jjhomefri He has a locking tremolo.

  • its like he makes his guitar talk!

  • I've always been a guitar person, but Vinnie. Wow.

  • How beautiful is Tal Wilkenfield!

  • No words to describe this Masterpiece. God, so moving.

  • my favorite vid on youtube /is he playing all the strings with his thumb

  • I was there too. Jimmy Page was here, Eric Clapton played 3 songs with JB, and Brian May was also here with .... Ritchie Blackmore !!

Just to make clear I don't intend to drop names just for the sake of it.

It was absolutely magic. If jeff Beck goes back to Ronnie Scott or any small club, just GO ! Ronnie Scott is a SMALL club so wherever you are you're closer to Beck or any other musician that you can dream of. It was loud, amazing, crazy, etc. Thank you again and again Mr Beck

  • @stullbuxur

    flickastik

  • vinnnnie > everyone

  • @PowerDrums i looked vinnie up on wiki - honestly. that is the most impressive resume' i've ever seen!

  • @outoworkdreamer

    class is the word! :)

  • best dvd music concert ever caught on video ever....

  • jimmy at 4:51

  • Jeff Beck could play like any other good guitarist, but none other guitarist could play like Jeff Beck.

  • were's jimmy?

  • Whos the drummer? hes ridiculous

    haa

  • @sixfiguredrumer

  • get the shivers down my spine every time i hear this. amazing

  • I live about 5 minutes drive from the club the beatles used to play at in Liverpool, and usually go over for 'beatles day', when the whole city is packed out with people partying it up. I would love to hear Jeff's versions one year

  • just awesome!! :D

  • :D

  • Thanks for posting this it is great!!!! You go, Jeff!

  • Really beautiful!!!!

  • I think Sir Paul should have been there to see this! Page I bet enjoyed this. Beck has a handle on makin' his guitar sing. Not many great guitarists would succeed at some of the shit he does! Cheers Jeff

  • cool jam /i\ all ways ENOY LISTING

  • I will marry that bassist.

  • не пойму, что были идиоты которым могло не понравится???

  • only the best

  • I saw them in concert. When Tal and Jeff lock into one another and look at each other, it reaches summits. They are in it like nobody could bump them away.

    Quite an exprience.

I had ears and binoculars. Every time they locked together, my ears could tell me and I then used the binoculars to watch their faces closely.

Musicians. Just like very good musicians. Amazing. Probably they were musicians,

  • Malmsteen, tons of them on the internet and Youtube. But not too many Jeff Becks as you can see. He is Jeff Beck, the one and only.

You like him or not, this is your own problem; not mine.

  • Tal is so beautiful. Just a passing comment.

  • No, you can't compare Slash to Jimi... but Jeff is a different matter... his playing has elevated to the cosmic level. What a great post! What feeling and expression! And true to the original feeling!

  • No, you can't compare Slash to Jimi... but Jeff is a different matter... his playing has elevated to the cosmic level.

  • Every so often a guitar will find someone that will let it speak and sing thru that persons talent.

  • 1:24 "I can't hold it in no longer" says the drummer

  • @LORENZOMETAL89 thats his jizz face

  • What's the bassist's name?

  • @789TheBeatles

    tal winkenfeld

  • I own the entire DVD of this concert. It's absolutely amazing! Beck rocks!

  • Sax sound :: foot pedal distortion

  • 1:25 epic face

  • I 'ms sure that john would like it.

  • the-top-tens . com / lists / greatest-guitarists-ever . asp

  • this is pure art!

  • ha ha you kids will never see real music like these guys again...& to think we though we were getting screwed when front row tickets at the Garden were $16.00 dollars and $40.oo to see the stones & Floyd from the 5Th and 1st row seats respectively from scalpers

    ```
    Yea man we got fucked PROPER ~ SEEING PINK FLOYD DO [ ANIMALS ] FROM FRONT CENTER FLOOR SEATS 20 FEET FROM THE BAND
    ```

HA HA $40.OO & THE STONES DO [ YOU CANT ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT ] FOR TWO DAYS PAY $40 30 FEET AWAY ~

  • All else is smoke and mirrors, the era that produced Beck and Page are long gone. They Unique in their own way, both are excellent.

  • TABS PLEASE

  • @rundovercat SORRY WELL I JUST HAD TO LAUGH

  • Anyone can learn how to play a specific riff. Jeff Beck revolutionized the guitar and that is what sets him apart from other guitarists; his unique sound. He is an electrical guitar genius, just like Jimi Hendrix was, just like Chuck Berry was and just like Charlie Christian was. For the record though, nobody is on the same level as Jimi Hendrix, but Beck is right on the next echelon.

  • @TheJuunit21 I agree with everything you said. You should SRV to that list as well though.

  • Sometime, and in special musician, worth more the feelings.

  • how the fuck did he make that sax sound in 1:17 ?

  • @stullbuxur drags the volume in and quickly repetetively taps the tremelo. Its an art what he does, absolutely stunning!

  • @stullbuxur

because he is Jeff Beck, only he can do it, makes guitar sound like saxphone....

  • @rockbeckpage That sounds saxy

  • @rockbeckpage he uses a Boss BF-2 Flanger Pedal.

  • @stullbuxur that technique is called a flutter, its pretty nice, you gotta have a floyd rose or a whammy bar to do it.. you play the notes regularly, but you hit the tremelo for it to kinda wobble really fast.. hard to explain lol

  • @stullbuxur by quickly flicking the tremolo arm up

  • @stullbuxur by quickly flicking the trem arm up when he hits a note, and what rockbeckpage said

  • @stullbuxur whammy bar snap super stealth move. Beyond our imagination. And with such feel of a true wizard...

  • @stullbuxur he trills with the vibrato !

  • @stullbuxur Striking the whammy

  • @stullbuxur tremelo bar flutter?

  • @stullbuxur its a clever trick using a fluttering tremolo bar technique to rapidly change string tension!

  • @stullbuxur how the fuck does he make most of his sounds!

  • @stullbuxur he smack his wammy bar really quick.

  • @stullbuxur If you "flick" the whammy bar when you have a floating (not flat on the body) trem, it kinda warbles like that.

  • @stullbuxur It was a combination of the whammy bar and the way he played the notes

  • @stullbuxur Master of the Whammy!!

  • @steenje master of the EVERYTHING

  • by being jeff beck

  • @arsenalfanforlife exactly what i was going to say!

  • @stullbuxur he slaps the whammy bar and does a hermonic with his thumb hard to master he makes look so easy tho

  • @stullbuxur thats what i was thinking too but i think he's doing a unison bend whileattacking the whammy, great tone isn't it

  • @stullbuxur the answer your looking for is ...because it's Jeff Beck!!!

  • @stullbuxur gotta pull up the tremolo bar and then let it slip out of your fingers so it bounces back into position. Steve Vai does this quite often : )

  • @stullbuxur He hits the tremolo bar at the same time he atack the strings

  • @stullbuxur Search for 'tremolo flutter'

  • @stullbuxur .....cricketeffect.....Brad Gillis.....and many more...ofcourse.

  • @stullbuxur

    flick!

  • page was there to learn a bit to play guitar

  • 1st orchestral crescendo on guitar-SICK!!!

  • I love how they dd the Lennon parts, but I really think they missed the feel of the McCartney part. The Lennon parts with their surreal feel of life was dead on...but the McCartney part with it's work-a-day, rat race feel was missed.

  • @dLimboStick Dead on, kind of a let down the first time i watched this...

Yet i still comeback... still a great jam.

  • 13 morons.

  • so who is the basist girl?

  • @eksistentialisti That´s sweet Tal Wilkenfeld!!!

  • Check dis out:

It's sad for me that people say The Edge, Tom Morello, Slash, Kirk Hammet is better than Jeff. In today's world commerce rules and these guys are pronounced better than Jimi, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton or SRV.

    Sad.

  • @MrKrecikKret Kirk Hammet is pornounced better than Jimi Hendrix :)) In what world?

  • @MrKrecikKret You shouldn't have included Morello, he is one badass motherfucker!

  • @MrKrecikKret Might I ask where you've seen the Edge and Morello compared to knopfler and clapton etc..?

  • @MrKrecikKret Damn right man. The latter are masters. The others are not.

  • @MrKrecikKret Damn right man. The latter are masters. Well said.

  • @MrKrecikKret the edge?? God that man is such a one dimensional guitar player.

  • @MrKrecikKret this all depends on perspective, plus, there are certain people who can't compare, comparing slash to hendrix doesn't work

  • @MrKrecikKret Jeff Beck is both Slash's and Hammett's favorite guitarrist.

  • @MrKrecikKret they are young and ignorant.

  • @claptoned0 i agree, but not all of the young are ignorant :)

  • @vanzvc everybody is ignorant after all ;)

  • @MrKrecikKret INNOVATORS.

  • VH1 Classic plays this concert a few times as well There is also a shot of Robert in the audince as well i forget which song that was on

  • Robert Plant was there aswell :)

  • @AndreasSku93 Where?

  • I wanted so badly to attend one of these shows but at the time I did not have a good reason to go to London on business.

  • A day in a live,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just hühnerhaut

  • how does this video have only 201,235 views?.....this is music not what poeple listen to today and what "pop" music is..this is music when your arm hairs rise when jeff beck goes in to the second part of the song with that amazing intro.

  • woooooooow

  • And now he uses tiny new Fenders (amps) to do the sme thing. He's not right.

  • i dont know of many guitarists that can make a guitar sing like that

  • que pocamadre se escucha :D

  • BEST beatles song

  • Robert Plant is in the back of the audience too

  • Absolute control of the instrument!

  • @JeffersonBredow what instrument??

    isn´t Jeff the guitar itself?

    XD

  • IMy favorite cover of one of my favorite songs. Like John's voice, Jeff's guitar gave me chills.

  • (yup ... been one of those!) ... ;^)
