@emennocchi He was pretty close from winning the 500 that year... But IIRC Dixon got the lead back at the next round of pitstop, and Vitor never managed to pass him back.

Why do they have spotters? They have mirrors- and most racers outside of ovals dont need one.

@420Vali cause sometimes they drive in 2 columns and if you move your eyes just for a moment to look in mirrors car in fron't of you can loose mile or two and at that speed and only inches apart it can spell trouble really fast... so it's easier if someone is telling you that there's someone high or low and specially if there's some trouble on track...
