  • beutiful men and big artist!!!!

  • The Legend, The Man RIP Sparkly Warrior!

  • Wonderfull ! Thank you very much !*´¨`*❤

  • leberace is a best showman and person!!

  • Magnificent

  • Did he really used to say I wish my brother George was here?

  • One thing that I really like about Liberace is what he was playful and made music what it is supposed to be: fun! And you can see that he loves what he's doing!

  • May his legacy be acknowledged more and be remembered by his talents.

  • Oh, Carol Anne! This is sooooo fabulous! Thanks!

  • Tocava muito! Que técnica! Quem se ferrou foi o percussionista! Também...nessa velocidade!

  • Guauuu!!! hands with magic's fingers!!

  • look at how that piano stool is bowing under his weight as he bounces up and down haha

  • I was lucky to see Liberace when he was alive. He was the Mr. Entertainment 100 Percent. And very happy today that m Piano Tuner, Dan Levitan fixed my Yahama Disklavier "Player Piano" that I have over 10 years with all my famous piano players recorded when they were alive. [Liberace etc. songs] Wow coming to New York City will now be like coming back home.

  • I always loved Carmen Cavallaro's rendition of this piece, but I'd have to admit that Liberace's velocity was really over the top on this one. Truly an amazing and timeless talent. You have to wonder if the world will ever see his like again. Thanks Lee.

  • I wish my brother George was here.

  • 1:24

  • heheh He's showin' off!

  • Saw Liberace in Vegas many, many years ago. Definitely the showman and a great pianist...his rings, dancing waters and Rolls were all delightful. Suggest you also check out James Booker's version of Tico Tico--he fancied himself the Black Liberace.

  • tico-tico no fuba is noat a samba, is a "chorinho"

  • @marcos3461 hmm=o

  • Fantastic entertainer. But let's hear it for the live band and what must be a phenomenal conductor too.

  • He can turn any type of song and modify it to his own style and still make it a better version. Brilliant all around person he was. I bet he would have even better songs today in his brilliant style and make it a hit.

  • What a superb entertainer and musician he was!

  • I love him....he is an excellent, amazing, talented artist.....Mr Showmanship!!!!

  • WHAT AN EXCELLENT ARTIST! Thank you for the upload. Its simply divine.

  • Why does foreign people - who doesn't live in Brazil - think that Tico Tico is samba? It's "chorinho". Ah, I also would like to say there are big cities in Brazil, not only rain forest n' wild animals... Obama will visit us next Saturday, at the city of Rio... No safari... Got it?

  • hey i dont care if he was gay he was a great artist who isnt like the wierdos of today :/ who actually aim to be gay he was just himself :)

  • Point proven..gay people are awsome! btw i absolute luv the way he played and his passion for music..just great

  • Why is it that on all the Liberace videos I've watched, people comment about him being gay! Who the hell cares what kind of people he was attracted to. Isn't that personal? Is that any of your business? This guy was a brilliant entertainer. Why not comment about his amazing talent and individuality!

  • I just love how he's smiling the whole time he's playing ahahah, its amazing

  • I was fortunate to see him play for the last time in Melbourne Australia in 1985 and came away absollutely breathless. This man was a one on ten million. Ther will b e many wannabes etc but there will never be another Liberace. A true gift from heaven

  • I can't stop listening to him!! I'm in a daze

  • LOL! I love that he winks at the camera at 1:05. That's some wicked piano-playing!

  • Gay - butchered the classical music - died of AIDS. Whatever, he was loved by many and was the highest paid entertainer from the 1950's thru the 1970's making more than Elvis or Frank Sinatra. Enough said, while the made fun of him, he laughed all the way to the bank.

  • look at that guy, he's so much fun!

  • who cares if he's gay or not!

    he's amazing!

  • @meloveicecream24 His music is brilliant

  • @fatguyonpiano I'm singing "It's Raining Men" now...LOL Just kidding ;~)

I agree...Liberace was amazing. And such a lovely gentleman, too. I love everything about this video, the decor, his suit, the playing, especially the playing...love the way he put his whole body into it...and the way he smiled so sweetly at his audience...always. I grew up watching him and even though I'm a girl, I wanted to be Liberace.

  • beautiful & genius!!!

  • fucking epic clothes!!!

  • why have i not heard of this guy sooner

  • Gay or not , Dont be telling me you can classify his playing as GAY also Gud dam it ppl the guy was a Musician and tried to give it his all, or cant some ppl let the dead R.I.P ????

oh ! he was gay and one of his documentruys of his life tells you of the story , pains and struggles he had to go through to just entertain us. This guy inspiered me to play NOT cos he was gay by the way but cos he was amazing at his craft FULL STOP ! R.i.P And thanks for bringing a smile to us with those outfits

  • How can it be that this peacefull person got killed? It is a shame for the man kind.

  • genial

  • hoahoaha!! the ghey guy in the pink suit FTW !!

  • Brilliant!

  • The man was bloody brilliant and that's that !

  • Liberace was a genious . I grew up watching him on tv. He's Prince Poppycock's inspiration. I love Prince Poppycock( from America's Got Talent). Hope he gets a headling show in Vegas.

  • This guy performed with a lot of famous entertainers, such as Elvis Presley, Sammy Davis Jr. and Elton John.

  • I like the song.... I know that is a very good pianist.... put... it´s so speed!!

Some pieces of piano, or songs are beautiful without so much speed....

  • if it would help me play piano like that, i'd turn gay ;)

  • If any of you ever get the chance to be in Vegas, you have to go to the Liberace museum. It is such an amazing little gem that will give you hours of fun, interesting facts about the genius we know as Liberace.

  • I want that frock too!

  • Flowing white hot bubbling GENIUS!!!

  • Wow - he is totally amazing - he commands that piano. I bet they had to tune his piano after every sitting. You try that!

  • WOW This is amazing !!!! OMG!!

  • He was an incredible man, amazingly gifted and brilliant. People made fun of him for being gay but not one of those people could match him in talent or in grace. In every video you watch of him, you will see a warm smile and a talented person doing what he loved. There will never be another like him, and sadly the world didnt appreciate him when they had him. Now we are left with these videos of his love for music and of a sweet human being....... Thank you for posting this video

  • I wouldn't say the greatest pianist but certainly the greatest showman! What fun.

  • magnific

  • Liberace was a child prodigy. He started playing at age 4 and was able to play and memorize very difficult pieces by age 7. He spent almost 20 years perfecting his craft. He was a real genius who decided to be a showman-as in show me the money.

  • hes fast on that

  • was he gay?

  • @WaitTillUCMySmile yes he was.

  • I gotta heavy date, with one who won't wait, so tick-o please be so late. I love not so cuckoo in clock ,,,,, tick-o, tick-o, tick-o, tock. Dah, dah, dah.

    Good evening frieeeeeeeeeeeeends.

  • Never seen anything like this.

  • Hahaha... so funny! Soooooo gay!

Like... Tico-tico no fubá, gay arrangement!

  • I don't know how to explain it,but he is cute in a way

  • amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • @SuperGelinek eres un ordinario

  • Yay for Liberace!

  • He was the best in the world, the fastest ever..........

  • I met him at a party in Winnipeg.

  • I thought I was good on piano until I saw this guy then I realized I am only a beginner.

  • That man was loved by many, and entertained all !! Long Live Liberace!!! I Wish My Brother George was here..... LOL!!

  • I don't give a damn if he was gay or not, the man had freaking crazy talent on that thing!

  • Liberace was gay, but his wardrobe wasn't an indicator. Liberace's wardrobe was for showmanship, for being the center of attention. I understand there are other entertainers similar to him who dress like him: Elton John Little Richard. However, Prince also dresses flamboyantly and he's not gay. 80s hair metal bands such as Motley Crue and Poison were into gender bender outfits. They weren't gay. Heck, Elvis had rhinestones. The clothes are for being a spectacle.

  • His personal life doesn't concern me ....... nor should it anyone else ........ he was a super musician and entertainer. He was also extremely generous with his time and money. His museum in Las Vegas is a fantastic place to visit and see all his showbiz paraphernalia.

  • That's not even a samba, it's a chorinho

  • He is super fast, who can play faster than him?

  • El mejor pianista de todos los tiempos...inspiracion para artistas grandes como Freddie Mercury o Elton John...genios inspirados por este inmenso genio...Tenia q ser!!!!

  • You have to admire his talent....

  • Excelente artista, carismático e muito profissional.

  • superrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

  • @afroditad liberace,great,very great artist

  • hes so cool!!! i have been to museum in Las Vegas. Its so cool. i even touched one of his pianos!! This is inevitably the best piano player

  • Some people are just so ignorant...

but anyways this man is amazing!

  • DingoHunterDan - R U out of your mind? It doesnt matter if he was gay or not. He had a lot of tallent. You are just not willing to admit a man could have that kind od talent

  • @krstnlhjt I think the haters are jealous, you cares if he was gay he was an incredible person

  • I didn't even have the sound on, and I can tell. Sup, Euntaek.

  • WOW that was FAST

  • i wonder what would happen if paco de lucia joined in on this... you should see him playing tico tico to know what i mean

  • This acutally became a famous piece because of ETHEL SMITH, playing it on the Hammond Organ! She did one hell of a job on it..... Lee does also!

  • Yes I actually have her recording on a 'Brunswick' 78RPM record. On the other side is 'Lero-Lero' .

  • piece of cake

  • excelente pianista pero no me agrada al 100 porciento

  • X lo putazo que era ;-)

  • "Tico Tico no Fubá" is not exactly a samba. It´s a "Chorinho" composed by Brazilian composer Zequinha de Abreu. It became world popular by a vocal arrangement for Carmen Miranda to sing in a very fast tempo. Liberace was a real genius!

  • This is a virtuose!!!

My favorite song. Arella Dror, Israel

  • Puta que o pariu, esse cara é um ANIMAL. Grande fera. Saudades do graaande LIBERACE!

    - c.a.t.

  • hot damn

  • Its nice to hear him use the full keyboard, from the very low notes at 1:42 to the very high notes at 1:54 , loved it.

  • There's been a lot of comments about whether or not Liberace was gay or not here. We all know he was - he was also a damn genius!

To not watch him play (now that hes gone) you are not doing a disservice to HIM, hell never know, you are doing a disfavor to yourself - depriving yourself of seeing & hearing one of the greatest showmen and pianists EVER!

  • Damn excellent technic !!!!

  • genius

  • Liberace was all man!! End of story!!

  • a man's man, if you will.

  • i heard this guy was gay.

  • yeah and?

  • look at his clothes - i don't see it.

i think people are just jealous so they say he's gay.

  • To be honest even if he was gay I wouldn't care. He had great showmanship and was a brilliant entertainer. That's what counts. His private life has no interest to me.

  • dude, i'll take of my 'funny guy' hat for a second.

    are you serious?!?!?

IF he was gay?!?! liberace was like the queen of the gays. he unfortunately passed on as a result of AIDS. his private life was trotted out in print and film.

wait - there might be an explanation; do you live in a cave?

  • Like I said, I don't care about his private life. You don't have to be gay to get aids. And by your comment "look at his clothes - i don't see it.

i think people are just jealous so they say he's gay." you obviously thought he wasn't gay. I never said he was or he wasn't. It doesn't bother me either way.

  • stevey, are you serious? i was being facetious when i posted that - ironic if you will.

i was being funny and it went way over your head.

liberace caught aids the old fashioned way up his shit-hole.

i'm not guessing, i actually read a book about the guy. he caught it from his coked up boy toy, scott thorson. look it up.

besides, i've been pretty sure about his sexual preference since my dad told me 'that liberace is a fuckin' queer' the first time i saw him on television.

  • Wow, someone's polite. I feel sorry for you... How could you live with your dad bringing you up like that? Like I said I'm not here to question his sexuality, or private life.

  • @dickravis nope... he wreally was gay... but who cares! listen how he play!

  • I think the word would be flaming.

  • u bastard

  • you are going to hell my friend

  • I heard you was gay

  • really? in lima, peru you heard i was gay?

an international rumor about me being gay?

a rumor that spans multiple time zones and hemispheres about me being gay?

    THAT FUCKIN' RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • O Liberace é uma bichona, mas toca pra caralho!

  • AAAAAHHHHH YEAH!

  • Tico - Tico no Fubá! Belíssima canção do compositor Brasileiro Zequinha de Abreu natural de Santa Rita do Passa Quatro - SP.

    Abraços a todos.

Marlon França - São Gonçalo Sapucai -MG- Brasil

  • this guy would literally shred pianos to pieces when he practiced

  • Can anyone tell me the composer of this piece? I heard it played as a piano and clarinet on Classic FM (UK) but didn't catch the composer.

  • Abreu.

  • Zequinha de Abreu. By the way this is not a samba, in Brazil we called it: "Chorinho" Little cry...Because it sounds like a cry. This rhythm was big in Brazil till early 1920s...obviously it became well known internationally because Carmem Miranda sang this in her glorious days...

  • Zequinha de Abreu

  • Who builds the pianos for him?

  • He had all Baldwin pianos

  • He can do anything on piano! He is the greatest pianist ever.

  • ja pierd....... ale szybko...:D ale troche taki chyba obciachowy jest ten koleś:D

    *****

  • He's an excellent piano player... but definately a flamer.

  • dude, I wish my brother george was here

  • It's like how many notes and energy could fit into those 2 minutes...

  • It's called espresso.

    haha!

  • 1:30-1:47

    Fucking heavy.

  • Could that be the British actor Richard Wattis that walks through the doors at the end.... ? It looks a lot like him.. well, what we can see..[??]

  • Where the hell is George?

  • i got lost when he said samba lolz

but yeah, it is kinda fun when its faster

  • The greatest adn most flamboyant entertainer of the 20th century. There will never be another Liberace sadly

  • wow, he sure can play that piano.

  • I like it..

  • good

  • LoL

He sure can play this classic theme almost as fast as glorious Carmen Miranda used to sing it

    :oD

  • did anyone ever count the notes from this? that is pretty fast!

  • show

  • He is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

  • I love that swishy move off the bench at the end! God bless him and his candelabra.

  • The finest ever!!!

  • This is from Liberace's 1969 summer series, taped in England, when he served as "THE RED SKELTON HOUR"'s summer replacement on CBS {Tuesdays, 8:30pm(et)}.

  • People can say whatever they want about him, but damn did the guy give a show!!! Spectacular pianist for sure!

  • I want to play that song! =D

  • genious

  • just sensational

  • Bravo!

  • Impresionante

  • my late mother was a fan of his big time..I never saw him, but she did 3 times and each time would just rave about him..Yeah, he was a flamer but who cared? He was a talented guy who just did his thing, and was wonderful at it..he was defintely one of a kind..

  • he was to cool, id love to able to do that, peace,:)
