@goldwinberry 1ac doesnt have single side seats therefore it has to be 2ac. & yes both were 2ac cars. except former one only has curtains & later has door.

which looks odd to me. but surely both are 2ac.

thats only in 1A, 2A and 3A never had a lockable door / cabins

This train is actually great and 2 AC class is very comfortable. I would highly recommend it.
