Why does everyone have to compare the british to american they are completely different especially now in the 2nd season no storyline is even close to the same. By the way does anyone the season/episode that Lip tells Ian something along the lines "why fight for a country that doesn't accept you" or something to that affect? Love this show

UK version is still better. US version they toned the rudeness down too much, it just doesn't feel authentic enough. How 'hot' the actors are is just another way they Americanised this show, because people aren't all 'hot' in real life.

If we are going by the story line of Ian then the US version is better so far. They did things different with Mickey that I liked. Also in the UK version Ian ends up straight at the end of the show's run. Sorry is that a spoiler, well i don't care because it is bullshit. I have no clue why they decided to turn him straight. The US version better keep Ian gay or I'll be pissed. But the only thing I can do about it is lose Showtime a viewer or two.

Rule of thumb: if the UK version came first it's always better. A US version will always be watered down. If you can't understand the UK accent the show features, then you don't deserve to understand it. To the rest - PISS OFF!!!!

I loved the British version and look forward to see how this one goes...this episode is nearly word-perfect to the original but different...love the character chemistry...great potential for the later story...can't wait!

its the same and then different from the UK original version... The US one is a lot more gritty and shows the family unit working together whereas the UK one is more about humour! Both good shows...
