@lillypilly983 what u mean matt couldnt? david fanboy much :P how bout the scene in the beast below when matts doctor has to chose which to save the humans or starwhale and he goes crazy shouting at people
Doc just proved he's a better man by taking a pass on blowing the son-of-a-bitch away. I loved this scene. Would you do what the Doctor did if someone did that to your daughter?
"Can't you hear them? Inside my head. I thought it would stop. But it never does. It never, ever stops. Inside my head. The drumming, Doctor, the constant drumming."
thats the fire, ice, anger and power of the timelord - right there at 0:05. don't mess with a timelord, or u can be seriously fucked over. that general was lucky that the doctor was barely a calm and collective timelord, or his brains would have covered the floor.
@AbbyRulzNCIS The hand shows up in the Torchwood series in Jack's office. I think he either stole it or The Doctor eventually gave it to him. But why would The Doctor not keep a part of himself?
@MJMcGreg926 actually after the Episode "christmas invasion" jack finds the docs hand and gives it to him in the series 3 finale... (its cut of by a sycorax warrior, but the doc still being in the regeneration cycle grows a new one)
I love this show to death. And I think I would have really liked Jenny as a companion. Can't the Doctor ever get a break? Everyone he loves just leaves him.
@PrincessButtercup128 the curse of a timelord. one the time war broke loose, nothing was ever the same. i wouldn't be surprised if some dr who geeks would cry in their sleep for the poor doctor.
I get so sad over things like that. And to nameisme2 you're right, and he was brilliant in the Family of Blood as the "Fury of a Time Lord". It sends shivers down my spine when i see that
That's one thing David Tennant can never get right. The fiery anger of The Doctor. He's GREAT at cold calculated anger but Christopher Eccleston did fire much much better.
@nameisme2 I think Tennant did pasionate anger well, but yeah, Eccelston was the king of that. You could really feel the pain and agony inn his anger, everytime...
I know it's not a perfect episode, but you have to think about the young audiences. Off course, the over-acting is needed to dramatize the moral of the story about non-violence. Yes, it's not a perfect script because it's a low budget show which is shot in Cardiff, Wales (UK).
I encourage most of you watchers to buy the David Tenant and Eccleston DVD of Doctor Who to support the BBC.
It's our show of appreciation to pay for them the Royalty for the Copyright of these films.
I wonder if the reason the doctor never cries is he's got no tears left.

Matt Smith could never pull anything like this off, David Tennant is a true legend.

thumbs up if you think the doctor should have punched the general in the face!

@afterlifeismine
that would defeat the purpose. he's BETTER than that.
He's The Doctor. He STOPS the cycle of violence. At a cost to himself most of the time, but he does. its why he's great."

This is way too much. Had great possibilities and it was wasted with bad writing and over acting.
