  • great tutorial. Your voice is so soothing to listen to ;)

    Many thanks.

  • Well done. Great shortcuts too. Thanks!

  • I understand the mentality of trying to make a model like that "MORE PERFECT"....

.... but the image needs to be left alone. She is way hotter and more natural looking without the elongation and weird rounding of the popped hip. I can definitely tell the anatomy has been screwed with in the after image.

BTW... Does anybody know who that model is? She's so insanely hot.

  • Before: 14:22

    After: 14:26

  • please email me your brain. The part witht he photoshop knowledge only :) What an amasing skill.

oh, and I love your accent, but hey, you can keep that :))

  • So let me get this straight: You shrunk her wide hip bone (which was oh so sexy) and you lengthened her torso (making her less feminine).

However, awesome tutorial as for using photoshop. But yah, as a man I would have shortened the torso and left those killer hips alone.

Thanks for the great tips though!

  • @danielmrussell To each it's own, she looks hot both ways.

  • Um.... a woman shouldn't be doing the 'shopping on her. What she doesn't realize is that she already is fucking perfect.....

    Sheesh.

  • All us guys clicked on this video because.... yada yada you know the drill.

  • @martinaee I clicked because I thought the composition of the photograph was brilliant.

Oh, and... uh... Photoshop! It said Photoshop! That's why damn it!

  • Great photoshop skills shown with superb clear explanations! but please use a photograph which has less subjective "flaws" rather than supporting the sterio-type that no woman is perfect. And while marvelling at the power of the tools and skill of the user, I was left concerned for a world where that image is considered flawed and in need of significant figure adjustment. "oh, maybe just slim the hips, trim the ankle and reduce the thigh muscle..." not so much a curvey image now though is it?

  • nice tutorial!

  • like your voice

  • you took the long way .......

  • bizar!! i have never seen this way. great, thanks for share

  • @IFlyAnytime

The comment was directed toward another YouTube watcher not the uploader.

  • how nice to put in all that time altering her figure but decide to keep the toilets. good decision.

  • @bookshawscriven

    Excellent comment! LMAO!

  • @bookshawscriven I agree. But also question why the art director used that location in the first place. As a photoshop artist myself I can tell you that I often have no choice of what to leave in or out of an image. I am paid to do what I am told by the client.

  • what model did you use or what picture?

  • OH GOD !! please don't photoshop her!!!

  • Nice work ... personally liked the original better!

  • she looked better in the original

  • - 02:25 That's what she said ;)

  • @FUSEDFORCE you sound like a very passionate guy! (I'm assuming you're a man. Sorry bout it if not)! That's excellent. Whatever drives you to create, please keep on pushing towards it. If photoshop isn't one of the tools your choose to use, then by all means, use what you want instead. Best of luck.

  • @tpcttt Why assume she's a man? LOL! A girl's name and definitely a girl's voice. Gry, you're an awesome artist in any case.

  • @FUSEDFORCE photoshop is just another tool in the photographers bag. It allows new creations that have never had the possibility of being created before! When you deny a change, in the creative world, you also deny the creative progression that is the substance of art.

  • @tpcttt lol you convince your self that in my eye is for poor photographer who have no idea how to take a good shot ! and relaying on a program to pat your self on the back just to say look how clever i am is wrong in my eyes. im trying to save real photography and real photographers who hate the fact everyone with photo shop thinks they are photographers ?/ you are editors that it real photographers take a shot got home print or send cause they have confidence in there work " )

  • this is why i hate photo shop dehumanising what is real ? just learn how to take a real fucking photo like photographers have done for a century and there images till beat nay over edited photo shop images sad ... real photographers hate photo-shop " )

  • @FUSEDFORCE well thats just not true at all. im a real photographer, but i love photoshop. while i would never go as far as this, photoshop can do wonders to touch up a photo

  • @mysteriousdreaming look im a professional photo shop is good if you have to crop maybe frame or covert and add text but when ripping in to a body to make it look "normal" and good enough for the fake model and advertising is just as corrupt as bankers in my eyes if your shots not good enough take it again like a real pro ..just my opinion as i see way to many so called photographers relaying on photo shop to fix there poor photography skills

  • @FUSEDFORCE it isn't the shot that's bad. its the quality of my camera. i use photoshop to adjust the colors, make it brighter, more vibrant and the such, or to add a crazy color edit to it, ie rainbow effect and such

  • @mysteriousdreaming thats what im trying to say the image is awesome you have talent but i hate the fact you have to stretch her etc its wrong and the reason kids and women have to many body and image complexes ..included my daughter of 12 who i have to explain they don't look like that in real life as they have had special effects added like a movie its not real and you should not look up to advertising and modelling now a day as its all wrong " 0 hope you under stand

  • @FUSEDFORCE thats understandable. even at 24 i still look at the models on magazines and wonder why i can't be like that, even though i know the image is photoshopped

  • RIP that monster, it's plastic surgery with no knife and soon well only see polygs as models. Do you want something like that?

  • very interesting but quite unethical if used with beauty products

  • @xemuz There must be a serious lack of ethics in the world then. Also they do this with food products too.

  • Great video and tutor.

Do you use a Tablet ?

  • id hit that.

  • Who's the model?

  • i love you <3 !

  • .h.t.t.p::/./.googl/ZlUIF Nuff said

  • WIITCH

  • Seriously I didn't know there's a Puppet wrap option in Photoshop! That was good. Thank for the tut. :D

  • This is some super advance stuff!! nice tutorial!!!

  • wow, you are talented. it'a amazing the things that are possible with photoshop. lol. do me next!!! :'B LOLOLOLOL.

  • you can do the rotating and cropping automatically with the ruler tool.

  • I preferred her hips before the touch up.

  • @ArcanePath360 i agree

  • Much respect.

  • very nice tutorial, like your accent!

  • Not your typical guy with a pirated version of photoshop showing you how to use liquify and spot healing. Very nice tutorial.

  • You should show the before and after as a side by side comparison.. or something.. at the end.

  • @unicqueky There was an overlay she showed at 14:23

  • Does anybody know, was this done in Photoshop Elements 9?

  • @mookins45 Photoshop CS5 Extended

  • @WANTNOMZ Thanks for the info!

  • This is a step beyond a normal YouTube tutorial. This is actually useful! Thanks!

  • Total false ! Why did you not get the model to stand they way you wanted to begin with?

  • I saw this image in the professional image maker magazine dec 2010....

  • you call that photography?

  • @SylvsTheCat what would u call it?

  • @IrOnnyIcle Digital Art

  • @SylvsTheCat I call it photo retouching... It's a different skillset than photography but kinda related. Kinda like how graphic design and web design are related but not the same.

  • @SylvsTheCat Let me guess, you're the film type, probably rocking an old school minolta or fujifilm who think all of their photo's are awesome because they're using film rather than digital...

  • @WANTNOMZ I shoot film. I don't say my photos are awesome because they're taken on film, I don't say they're awesome at all. But I do say they are true. I'm in love with the work of numerous digital photographers, I just can't look at something like thatand say this is photography. This is digital art, and I don't know if there's any respect to the model in remaking it in photoshop and I beleive this is NOT what I'll want to show to my daughter someday. This is not reality.

  • @SylvsTheCat The model is completely aware of what kind of industry she's put herself into. Whether or not you feel it is reality (I actually agree it's not), it's the modern world, almost all of the images you see in the advertising industry, regardless of whether or not they're of models or products, will have been processed in some way shape or form.

  • @WANTNOMZ I know she knows! I believe they should at least mention this is a modified picture in magazines and on posters... Some companies could take advantage of that and mention their pictures aren't modified! We have to encourage this! What message do you send to young girls when they see those pictures? What message do you give to boys when they only see photoshopped abs on giant posters on the street? It is not because it is the "modern world" that we have to keep it this way....

  • I made it to 12 mins then started fallling asleep.

  • your voice caused me an erection

  • +++good 555 i like your pic"

  • amazing tutorial.

  • Why puppet warp and not liquefy ?

  • @devonmale69 Because you get more control with puppet warp. You can point out where you would like to change and make those changes without affecting other areas. Liquify, as far as I know, gives you only a brush and no control. So you have to be extra careful with it.

In case you don't know (I'm not trying to be rude or anything), Puppet warp is the same thing (I think) that's used to make objects dance in commercials and stuff.

So again, you can move some parts and not affect other parts.

  • Preferred the pre altered figure.

  • Oh crazy. I just came across this image on 500px great work.

  • great tutorial thx

  • Thats where I would take a beautiful women wearing that! A shit whole row of shitters! Good choice!

  • wow. this is awesome.

  • This is what I call "fucking up human perception"

  • @S1L3nCe , So is Cubism, Futurism, Surrealism, Fantasy/Sci-Fi...

  • @dtnyc5000 pleasebitch.jpg... ¬¬

The difference is that when a girl sees a portrait of a woman made by Picasso her self-esteem is not affected in any way. Seeing these fake (pretending to be real) women might.

  • Hi,

I would like to buy your DVD but the mail adress don't works

    on your website !!! :(

  • weird rib cage :S

  • The legs look hilariously disproportioned and thin now. The neck and the way the head is turned is a bit unnatural.

This lady is the queen of photoshop, shes got amazing skills. But this was a great to tutorial to make artsy fartsy photos that don't reflect reality. Or someone could use this amazing set of skills to correct glaring errors. But great tutorial! Use your skills for good or for evil, your choice.

  • amazing job! and what i learned from this video: to work with photoshop is one of the hardest things in the world :D

  • Hi, thank you: this is a great quality tutorial, you did an amazing job.

  • This is a very good tutorial giving lots of information on what you can do in photoshop and thanks for that. It reminds me of an article written by a professional photographer who said he knew lots of photographers who spent hours correcting photos in post on their computers. And commented that if they only spent a bit more time setting up the shot first the photos would need very little post correction if any. Amazing what talent some people have. Good video.

  • Great work thank you!

  • I already knew about all the tools and techniques you used here, but after the first watch, I haven't learned how to do it. I guess sometimes you need to zoom in a little more or explain more (esp. on on the layers part for example)

    thanks anyways

  • Great tutorial, very informative. Thanks a lot for sharing!

  • Wow! That was intense! Its truly amazing as to what was done here in your tutorial. I'll have to watch it 5 more times before it all sinks in. I haven't even touched puppet-warp and content aware fill. Thanks.

  • amazing video and showed off some wicked editing

  • This is awful... She is gorgeous and still changes needs to be made? Now this long made up freak is gonna be the standard. Which is no reality and it will confuse the human race for times to come. :(

  • @MrMiriland Photography paired with digital manipulation isn't about the person in the picture; they become just another object in the photo. The art is in creating a flawless photo with immaculate lighting, angles, lines, etc. Models, photographers, digital artists all understand this but unfortunately the jealous public doesn't-- "but, but, we don't look like that in our pictures and it's not fair!". Learn to photoshop!

  • @gophergrrrl yes you are right. That is what it is all about, the lines the composition etc. And it is great in artistic circles. I am well aware of why it is done. But you hit the nail on the head there yourself. It is the "Jealous public crowd", as you so nicely put it, that this is fed to, isn't it?

You are right, They don't understand, which is why it is so twisted that they are all forced to look at it in media. That is what I, as a photographer and digital artist, feel is wrong.

  • @MrMiriland But the information is all there. I hate hearing it said that the media, ads in mags, etc., are destroying the youth because it's setting an unrealistic standard to which the youth is trying but cannot live up to. If they're too dumb to find this easily available information then I have no sympathy for them. I myself am a photographer and digital artist and I love to create both with my camera and digital tools. I refuse to be censored by angry moms who over-feed their teen girls.

  • @gophergrrrl The fact that everyone is upset should tell you that the information is not as available as you might think. Maybe you should realize that not everyone thinks like you?

  • Smashing and marvellous.

  • . . *blink* . . . I've been using Photoshop for so many years and thought I had a decent handle on it.. this blows my brain! Nice video, thanks for sharing!

  • This scares me.

  • SPLIT HER ?

  • why not just take a better picture?

  • @modernspeycasting she made her taller. how would taking a different picture do that

  • god your are good... i'm just starting Photoshop ... and it blow my mind! thanks-thanks-thanks!!!

  • thanks very much

  • The best part was the sexy accent on the narrator... made it all worth watching ;)

  • You need to use content aware SCALE for images with complicated backgrounds, not content aware fill.

  • WHile i was watching this i kept trying to zoom in like i was in photoshop! XD

  • @PoesKlap133 omg me too lmao!

  • she looks like a giraffe now

  • if you make a dude horny be sure to give him a download link for the reason that made him so

  • her legs look SO boney now.

  • Amazing Job.

Very proffesional, i liked the puppet tool.

  • Amazing tools, but the model looked better in the original shot.

  • @darksungames Agreed!! 'Perfectly Curved' is what I'd say... The after effect was nice, just agree the original was more attractive overall.

  • she's not calling the model ugly.. the point isn't to show women what they should look like, it's just a photoshop tutorial. calm down.

  • This is not a Female Image Issues forum!! This is a Photoshop Tutorial!!! and I have to say, a very good one.. Very good approach, and very well explained... How far you want to go with it, is your problem... But this is a very good approach to get very professional results....Thanks for posting this...

  • this model is sexy

  • She was better looking before the photoshop.

    HUMANS SHOULD LOOK LIKE HUMANS

  • ok this woman was georgeous before so i am confused as why they get photo shopd?

  • sexiest voice ever :D

  • @famousPhotog ARE YOU SERIOUS?! You are a sad, sad person if you don't realize that media is causing extreme self esteem issues everywhere! You use the term anorexia so lightly, when it slowly KILLS you. And I guess we have YOU to thank for that!!

  • the only thing I would have even considereddd editing is her ribs that poke out, but even that is fine! What happened to people appreciating obvious beauty when they see it.

  • i find this offencive

  • Comment removed

  • @XmisszRoX - I find your spelling offensive.

  • @zPolson1 Ditto!

  • @zPolson1 english is not my langauge don't be so rude

  • @XmisszRoX I apologize if I was "rude". I was merely speaking my mind, just as you were when you made the comment. If English isn't your first language and you are going to make a comment about how offensive you found the video to be (when you clicked on the video in the first place!). . . you should at least check your spelling. Try Google, or right click the word when the YouTube box you're typing in underlines the word in red :P

  • @zPolson1 i don't need anybody telling my what to do, no offence. case closed

  • Comment removed

  • @XmisszRoX I think she looked great before the retouching as well. But why complain about it? If you don't like the end result of what was done, at least you can walk away from the tutorial with a bit more knowledge than you may have had to start with. And if changing a persons body or looks with Photoshop really offends you that much. . . Why did you click on the video link for "Remodelling a Figure in Photoshop" with a scantily clad woman in the thumbnail image?!

  • @zPolson1 i clicked it so i could comment on it? is that a problem for you?

  • SHE ACTUALLY LOOKED SEXIER BEFORE PHOTOSHOP... Those curves make me cry...! such a beautiful figure!

  • This is what's wrong with the world. You take a model like that and work so hard at 'perfecting' her. Our ideal of beauty is so twisted. 50 years ago this woman would have been a goddess. The fashion industry is the downfall of mankind, and the nemesis of confidence. Thanks.

  • @mrbungs The fashion/beauty world is competitive, just like everything else. What Gry is creating is a form of commercial art for promotion, not a portrait. What's wrong with trying to perfect a promotional image as much as possible? [Yes, the knees look a bit thin now, but that's easy to correct, as well.]

  • @famousPhotog It's not about the business aspects. It's about the world. If that woman isn't beautiful, then what is going on here? You wonder why so many young girls and grown women are bulimic or anorexic. Here's your smoking gun. Christ.

  • @mrbungs I never said this women was not already beautiful. Yes she is beautiful. However, what is wrong with making a few changes? As far as I am aware, most anorexics and bolimics suffer from deep-seated self-image issues (mental problems) that go well beyond the processed images appearing in fashion magazines. In other words, I do not know of any "normal", well-adjusted, mentally sound, woman or girl who fell into anorexia solely as a result of her viewing processed fashion images.

  • @mrbungs I thought this was a Photoshop tutorial, not fucking CNN

  • @Edwardthemoonbear Oh, well since you failed to realize the problems this causes in our world, reference the comment above about human perception. Then stop and think about all the people who never feel good enough,.. cause this fake shit is their gold standard.

  • @mrbungs I understand that fashion undermines people's self esteem. What I'm saying is that people most likely came here for the thumbnail or a Photoshop tutorial. They didn't come here to partake in a *discussion* about human perception.

  • @Edwardthemoonbear Seeing as I'm not the only person to have made such a comment, I'd venture to call your statement incorrect at best.

  • Great tutorial but made the knee too thin....

  • Excellent postproduction skills! I'm envious!

  • Great tutorial and you have a lovely, relaxing voice. You are like the female Mark Galer lol

  • Amazing! thx!

  • thank you!

    who do you work for?

    Best,

    Briankeith.co

  • informative. thanks a ton

  • your work is amazing, thanks heaps!!!

  • Puppet Warp works with a scenery behind it; liquefy tool works on plain color behind the picture :D

  • excellent, thanks for the tips and not boring explanation

  • very well done. thank you so much.

  • Fabulous. > I learned a lot and your voice was perfect to follow along with

  • Comment removed

  • great tutorial. I will be looking into your DVD immediately. I am trying to get away from liquify and you show some great tips! I didn't realize what I was missing. Thanks!
