@luke200202 I wish I was on that train for the WHOLE TRIP! Prefably next to Janis the whole time lol even though i wouldnt mind sitting next to the greatful Dead:) or anyone else on that train:)
i would have done anything to have been on that train... music will never be what it was then. and in some kind of way im glad about that... that kind of music should only should only happen once.
ah they were so real! no one told anyone do play this or that they just all felt it. it was sooo pure. I would have done anything to be on that train with them
whe she and jerry sing alberta let your hair hang down i'm guessin their makin mention to Alberta#1 by Dylan? and then she says something about 'folk singers' that i can't quite make out?
I recently saw a documentary on 60's festivals and all of the performers-still living that is-all agree that this train trip was way billions better than Woodstock, that it was more free, more real, and cohesive. They say it's media marketing that keeps the Woodstock 'myth' alive.I thought it was interesting that they ALL said that.Wish I was'nt in diapers back then! I'd have been at as many Janis concerts as possible!
They could be like the folkie hippie power rangers, and each one's power is a different drug or other vice. Go Heroin Rick the gregarious White Ranger!
lol... Bobby

The dude sitting next to Janis is John "Marmaduke" Dawson from New Riders Of The Purple Sage and the dude playing guitar to Jerry's left is Bob Weir.
