CBS2 (NY) fired Arthur for cursing. But Ernie Anastos FOX5 (NY) and Sue Simmons from NBC4 (NY) can keep their jobs because they've been reporting news for over 30 years. TV news stations are a bunch of hypocrites; they should fire any news anchors who swears on air.

They're not being that hypocritical. The other two have a track record for long years of service and one slip isn't as big a deal as with someone newer they are trying out.

The other problem is how this guy behaved in response to people during a newscast and interrupted it. Anastos made a clueless slip of the tongue and Simmons was off the air but the sound was still rolling.

This guy is way more liability for the station due to lack of track record and the way he did it.
