  • I am only 6 years younger than Peter Green and I thought I looked old! I really used to love his playing in the old days with John Mayall and the original Fleetwood Mac. Sadly these days Peter really looks and plays completely worn out. Just a shadow of his former self. After watching some of these old "vintage" musicians playing it makes me feel much better about my musical skills as a guitarist myself.

  • replay? anyone?

  • Awesome

    Grandma mary

  • Peter Green still has the sweetest tone ever.

  • it's Nigel Watson, Peter's second guitarist in the Splinter group.

  • anybody knows Other guitarist's name who also sings?

  • Awesome

  • Little boots, show some respect for the master

  • he looks like ron jeremy with a beard

  • @LittleBootsAoife peter green is not the guy with the beard

  • It comes to life at 2:13 stops at 2: 52 and then starts again at ... you get the picture.

  • The ever green baum ! One of the best in the best years :

  • A chris brown advert before this song? you've got to be fucking kidding right? im not against the idea of advertisements on youtube but seriously dial down to them being fucking relevant i dont want to hear the music of some shitty sample spinning wife beating wanker who cant sing.

  • @EpicWinGuise i signed in specially just to say how legendary this comment is, long live decent music

  • with the greatest respect to chewbaka from star wars, i and every body else wants to hear peter play the lead on this one, its the only way it should be!

  • @georgegleek

No greater truth has ever been spoken hahaha

  • Greeny plays less notes than Nigel Watson and still pissed all over him.

  • a rare look into Gimli's post mordor music career

  • Peter has written some of the finest songs ever, played some of the greatest riffs ever but......the original version he did of this was the absolute supreme song ever. His guitar playing then and his voice were just superb!

  • Detta gillas! :)

  • u Guys know what Peter Green Will always be Peter Green

  • Incredibly sad to see this.

  • He definitively does the best version of this beautiful song...

  • I love this song but i think Gary Moores version is better. Cheers =)

  • He was my Guitar God then , the few he played here confirms what I thought 50 years ago . thanks for the post .

  • There is an old saying about dancing bears "it is not a wonder how well the bear dances but that it dances at all". After everything that life has thrown at Peter it is a wonder that he is on stage at all. Ok much of his playing is not up to the old standard BUT there are flashes of his genius and those of us who have loved his music for so many years must cling to those flashes and savour them.

  • @saffsgrandad

Very true words.. stay thirsty my friend haha

  • Peter is the gentleman in the vertical stripe shirt and the red/brown cap playing the sky blue Fender Strat. My good friends managed Peter's Splinter Group for many years and I had the honour of mixing them once. Mr Green is sadly a shadow of his former self but we thank him for what he gave us. No one has his touch and finesse.

  • The singer at the start of the video is Nigel Watson.

  • The beardy man who takes the opening solo bends out of tune and has the touch of a rhinocerous. I was just listening rather than watching and went "wtf!" as I thought PG was playing. What a relief to discover it wasn't him. Just tompare to Greenies oh sol perfect bends, vibrato and tone in the second solo. God he's good.

  • He may be older and fragile but always The Genius!!!!

    Thank you HameBih

  • That is peter green u nob

  • @kencarz buy some glasses dude for real that is not peter if that fatt dude is peter than im santa omfg

  • GUYS IT IS PETER GREEN! stop saying it's not

  • @yoyodude4u These guys are probably looking at Nigel Watson and, correctly, saying "That's not Peter Green" Peter's the one with the soft voiceand the hat, guys!

  • A lovely video of a gentle genius.

  • thats not Peter Green nobs

  • Thanks, Miyagi. Peter sounds like EC here. Did they ever play together?

  • @scotswanderer Peter Green replaced Clapton in the Bluesbreakers days briefly, then when Clapton left again, Green was there.

  • doh... not peter green

  • They don't make 'em like this anymore. What a shame.

  • So good to see PG still performing and sounding fine despite the hard road he has walked. I used to chat to him occasionally when I lived in Richmond back in the early 80's, and he was a gentle soul. The kids would call him Wolfman and chuck stones at him but he just shrugged it off with a sad smile. His dreams of a better world never quite came to fruition but he still lives in hope, a lesson to us all. He's had the blues alright...

  • Like Green

  • I would have loved to have seen Peter Green and Ray Charles doing this live with Ray sharing lead Vocals and playing the Hammond Organ.

WOW, now wouldn't that have been something.

  • Grab the audio from this video at thetunify doht cohm.

  • Who is the big guy who leads off the singing?

  • @scotswanderer his name is nigel watson,an old friend from the early fleetwood mac days, and largely responsible for convinceing peter to pick up the guitar again...so many thanks must go to him..

  • I loved him then and I love him now. He never wanted the strings on the original he was right then and right now. Pete you are a genius,

  • final solo could've gone on forever if you ask me, it's beautiful.

  • Yes, Peter Green is still able to play a great solo - with a lot of feeling. Bravo!

  • amazing!!!

  • 100% or not, Peter is still 110% better than anyone else.

  • It's a shame he hasn't recovered fully... i would've liked to watch him play his solo's again

  • saw the fragile genius Peter Green at moles jazz club Bath...fab set..he really warmed up and finished with a Kick ass version of Oh-Well..but let this beautiful man do a gig at the albert hall with some truly amazing singers..like George Michael, Sinead O'connor..tom Jones, Duffy, Robert Plant .clapton, mccartney.....get the picture, you impressarios out there..

  • @fosseseptique i would like George Michael's voice on this track...

  • @fosseseptique when did moles become a jazz club? I've been going there for years, never seen any jazz there mate. I missed mr green down there was it good?

  • Peter is good in this but only for Nigel Watson and the splinter group we wouldnt have heard many of the old Fleetwood mac songs. Seen Peter and friends last year in Dublin and they only played a couple of old Mac songs. The legend lives on...

  • Thank you Mr. Green,

  • grizzly adams leave it alone.

I would rather have kept the legend that is peter green thanks.

  • @slavetomoney1 Hell, yes. You know it!

  • @slavetomoney1 Well said !!!

  • great little willie john cover!!

  • Great version, Peter is amazing.

  • WHY is Peter Green NOT singing all of this song, after all it is his,

  • @FUCKITHEN cos he is still mentally ill

  • This, dear folks that listen to hiphop, house, rap, britney and whatever, this is music.

  • PG - understated pure talent, timeless.

  • peter's solo was amazing. So few notes say so much.

  • SOOOOOOOO nice..

  • Gorgeous!
