There ARE still people in the world who do it right! So nice to see! Watching your video (even if this was after a break and I would be willing to bet not a very good example of what the two of you are capable of) is like a breath of fresh air. I was beginning to think true classical dressage was a myth and only fools such as myself try to respect the traditional dressage principles! Thank you so much for posting!
Hi, i'm sorry to ask this question, as i should e asking something about this magnificent horse, however i'm wondering what the name of the music to this movie is?
Super cute stallion. Had a little tantrum about his piaffe, but that's understandable since that isn't exactly the easiest thing to do. I like everything about him except he chomps on his bit. Whether that's from the bit itself or just his way of concentrating I don't know, but that isn't easy to change either and just takes practice and patience. Lovely rider, very calm and easy going with him which I like a lot. Great Job!
I am so proud that this amazing horse is from my country (czech republic). he is awesome! And the rider too of course..:) Every horses around the world are very charming and kind animals...jewelers of our nations
That horse is absolutely gorgeous, and of course the rider is doing wonderful. The picture in a whole looks very relaxed, which is very very good in my opinion.
absolutely beautiful! The canter is so fluid and soft, and you're such a nice quiet rider. I've met Dominique-what a character!! Good luck with your boy!
nice to see a horse dropping its hind quaters into the piaffe dispite still having a way to go there is lots of potential for Grand Prix dressage!....i think this is one for the future!! good luck
GORGEOUS gaits. And GORGEOUS horse. Obviously still needs work on piaffe's and all that, but he's young and obviously will do EXTREMELY well when his training is done :)
So nice to see a horse being "asked" to do Piaffe, and not forced into it - and to have nice, solid basic groundwork before moving on and stressing out. Yes, the music was lovely, I thought I knew what it was at the start, but, I'm not so sure now ...! Thank you for sharing this :)
You're right! This looks like something I could only dream of being able to do! How beautiful the horse and how excellent the rider... have watched it time and again. So lovely and peaceful.
Even though the Friesian stallion Romke was used at the National Stud-farm Kladruby nad Labem in the breeding program, this breed, and Solo, is a pure old-Kladruber Horse. Many of the Kladrubers from the Romke lineage still show Friesian traits, and overall, they cross well with Friesians.
This looks like a very esxperienced dressage rider. he is not on the wrong lead. The inside leg should always be the leading leg in canter otherwise you become dis-united and thats not the canter you want. Awesome riding i LOVE your horse! Very very talented welldone,.
If you could get that out of my two I'd pay for your flights lol. Absolutely beautiful, such a lovely quiet rider too. Ignore all the obviously jealous clampitts who for some reason want to give you advice or tell you you're wrong lol. What is it with that?? I've yet to meet the person who knows EVERYTHING about horses, but many who profess to lol. I could watch your video over and over.
@jassyjojo - Thank you so much!!! I always try to do my best - and it is a lifelong learning process... just to bad that when we have all the experience and knowledge it is almost time to have to quit because of old age.... :)))))
@AnamCaraDressage Do you know where Frank is now? I learned that he had to move from the barn he was in. Is there any video anywhere of him or his daughters riding their horses?
Your stallion is beautiful. Do you still own him? Is he still a stallion? What is his name?
Brilliant Horse, Black Kladruber just beautiful, what i noticed though is that you let him get too low and too tight, try to keep his head over the vertical, when you let him down too deep, he's gonna get on the forehand and his hindquarters can not get under the gravity centre, so its hard for him to do a proper piaffe. Its just some small little changes you can do it with a horse like that easily, try it out ;a lot of luck for you and your beautiful horse!!!
@Sisty41 - I agree with what you are saying. This is not the best showcase of our riding. We had a few months break and just started to get back into the training and it was the first time riding outside in the outdoor arena. He was very forward and wanted to run as he was very excited! The piaffer was maybe the 5th training session after almost 5 months of no training, and maybe the 10th session overall.... you are correct with your observations!!! :)
ibalduyck- No, that horse is on the right lead. You see how the inside leg is always a bit ahead of the outside leg? If a horse was to counter-canter the outside leg would be ahead of the inside leg. =]
Czech made product is always great! :) I live at about 15km from Kladruby and I love these horses.. they look like they have come from fairy tales ;) especially white Kladrubers...
Solo is considered to be gelded because sadly he is not able to breed with satisfactory results. Also he has white markings - which is not the breeding goal of the Czech National Kladruber Stud-Farm. Breeding to approved Kladruber stallions is available - please contact me for more info.
Amazingly beautifully! One of my favorite breeds featured in the classical riding video with th elate German master Egon von Neindorff. Thank you for sharing!
This stallion is the ONLY black Old-Kladruber Horse imported from the National Stud-Farm Kladruby nad Labem in the Czech Republic. This breed has an over 500 years old history and is the ONLY animal that has ever been proclaimed a National Treasure and Historical Monument!
He is trained in French Classical Dressage and was training with Katharina Smith of Anam Cara Dressage for almost two year with Dominique Barbier in California.
He is for sale as stallion or can be gelded upon request.
Nah...Horse is too nice and moves with too much grace and style to be a Friesian. I would guess Lusitano, but then again it may just be how well the horse is being presented that makes it seem like a Lusitano.
wow! awesome can i use these? i ll give you credit :)

Complimenti per la leggerezza con la quale lavora il suo cavallo. Sono poche le persone che usano una mano leggera con i propri cavalli.
