"error in the ASIO driver. not enough channels"

    Please help.

    Cheers

  • Hey, how does Serato vinyl work on this?

  • @xDJCRUZZZx it justs does. go with it. LOL jk. Virtual Dj recognises the Signal Coming from te Tiemcode. BTW unless im reading this incorrectly, the Vinyl on his decks ARE NOT SERATO VINYL. there just there for looks and to give his Decks a Vinyl touch such as denons. HIS decks are CD decks. so they play by Cd Timecodes.

  • hey man im having a little problem, i have everything set up, im running vynl, maya 44, etc, but everytime i try to backspin i lose the timecode and the song continues to play until i go back into the timecode config and reset it, i notice it happens on my vista laptop more than my windos xp, im running vdj 6.0.2 on vista. i dnt know if it could be a problem with my needles or the maya44, like i said, i can probably backspin maybe 3 times then it loses it, help!!

  • Hey thats a brilliant video. i just connected maya44 to my cdj 1000 mk3 + djm 800 + virtual dj. downloaded the timecodes from the site for pioneer. all working but the only problem i have is that when i cue a beat it sways away. it does not stay on the cue point, it skips.. ANY SOLUTION?

  • Hey great vid thanks..... did everything you did but i am the vdj decks are shaking when there is nothing playing....... and not getting the 100% signal. A ny ideas or tips would be massively helpfull..

  • yo i got my shit hooked up and what not but when i go to configure my timecodes the circles are small and lopsided. I tried using the knobs in the panel to adjust them but can only get the left decks circle bigger, and the right stays small. Also when i turn the tables on they spin in vdj but i cant play any music. Any help would be great

  • if you move the pitch on the turntables will it that you adjusted it on vdj?

  • @Selectoriddim1 Yes, but if you do that and then move th pitch on VSDJ directly you will find yourself out of sync and in a lot of trouble. use either the pitch on VDJ or the pitch on turntable, never both.

  • @djtriple9 whoops i ment to ask will it show but i guess that means yes so thanks

  • where can i buy the maya 44?????

  • Thanks for this demo bro, extremely helpful.

  • Awesome video man, you really know what you're talking about, very informative. Out of curiosity, would a maya setup be ideal for the hardware I've currently got...

    1. Behringer DDM4000 Mixer

    2. Two Denon DNS-1000s

    3. Virtual DJ Pro

    4. Vista Ultimate x64, 8 Gigs RAM, Phenom XII 2.6 Quad

Similar to JBBstrategy I just need the Maya and Timecode CDs

  • What do i need if I want to use time-code vinyl?

    What I already have:

    1. Mixer (Stanton RM-3S)

    2. Turntables (2 Technics MK1200)

    3. DJ Software (Virtual DJ Pro)

    4. Computer (4GRAM, Windows 7, 64bit, Corei5)

    What I don't have:

    1. Maya 44USB (hardware/software)

    2. Timecode vinyls

Is there anything else I need? Seems like I can use the Maya 44 with any turntable or mixer.

  • @JBBstrategy for your setup the Maya44USB is way to wimpy. The technics needs something like a deejay trim or audio4DJ which can switch to phono (analog) mode, which the maya does not support. Serato virtual vinyl works just fine if it is easier to find than VDJ vinyl. I've only been able to make the maya work on the numark TTX.

  • what does it mean when where the green and red lines are only one is straight and the other is wavy?

  • if i get the maya 44 usb do i also need to buy the record for each turntable?

  • is this virtual dj demo or u purchase it?

  • @808Braylen Full blown. I have been using VDJ since it was v 5.2

  • Awesome guide my friend appriciate you sharing the info about the Maya 44, I was wonderin where did you get that skin at for your VDJ. Its off da hook =)

    Keep bustin!

    Stell~

  • YO triple9 i think the link isnt working . can you send it out again

  • Niceeee skin! Is there anyway I can get that skin on my vdj?

See im barely starting off with the turntables, I got myself some stanton c324 cdjs.

One of my friends recommended the Maya 44. Looks like ima be getting one of those soon.

  • What is your Skin for Virtual Dj ... It's very cool !

  • is it the same on a mac ?

  • Sweet video dude, was struggling with my set up until I stumbled across ur vid. Sounds sick now, nice one.

  • im running 64 bit but i cant find the drivers for it i found them but when i extract them it wont let me install it

  • hey i just got a computer with windows 7 but when i download the drivers i extract them but i cant installed it

  • @djperico1marko are you running 32 bit or 64 bit? there is a different driver for both.

  • hey bro im dj king what caind of cd i can use im thinking to buy sorato cds but dont know im jusing windos 7 and virtual dj 6.0 with maya 44 usb can u tel me?

  • @djkinghonda VDJ timecode CD's can be downloaded from their web site for free. I'd use those. If your using vinyl definitely use Serato V2.

  • hey, do you like the behringer vmx300.. or do you know of a better one for similar price?

    thanks

  • @MOORNINGWOOD14 best one for the price by far. My only complaint is it tends to be a little underpowered in the club. If the club's amps has any flaws, this unit will have a difficult time trying to compensate.

  • @djtriple9 DJM 909 all the way

  • perfect video!

  • hey!

anyone know where can i find that skin?

  • @djplost I found the skin but its bugged out... If you happen to have a good working one think you can hook me up if you got it? PM me if you can. If not I understand =)

  • I downloaded the VDJ TC CD but it only works if i choose serato CD in relative mode and I can't scratch backwards every time I pull back on the record the song goes forward. BTW I'm running a single CDX. Pissin me off

  • U got a download link for the custom skin?

  • Nice video. Helped me with my setup and it works great.

  • why i get alot a noise from the maya 44?

  • Bad camera work at the end, but thanx still. You ever use this for XWax or Mixxx programs?

  • have you uploaded your skin on vdj site? cuz i really want it :3 looks great

  • i am having a dificulty with time code, i install every thing yesterday, and i got 100% sound and quality, but after 2 hours i lost them. when check the config for quality it goes to 0 to 100%, but it wont stay on 100%.

    Please help me

    thanks

  • Tnx alot! Your vid really helped me out!

  • Hey man i watched your video again in full and believe it or not ive had my input meter all the way down in my asio config and ive been getting crappy signals ever since i switched back to vinyl!! I watched your video and saw your input meters at like 75% and i went and put mine to that and now I'm getting full signal and no cracks and glitches. My latency doubled which is awesome for me because im a scratchdj. Thanks for the tutorials bro...I've been spinning for like 12 years and love the help

  • Vinyl should definitely be around 75%, CD's around 15%. sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the love.

  • Hey man, awesome vid, really helpful. Quick question though. How should I burn my timecoded CD? I burned the track from VDJ website to two cds and they work on my setup, but only for the duration of the track, which is 5 seconds. Do I need to burn the track multiple times? What is on your timecode cd?

    Thanks

  • For versatility I burned mine as audio CD's but I have used them as MP3's as well (you could do this from a usb stick with mp3 on decks the support usb drives). I have both the pro and standard, though pro has always work on every deck I've tried. the track should be 12:30, but if you are only getting 5 seconds of it it sounds like you have a bad download.

  • hey one more ? how do i use netsearch ?

  • netsearch requires internet access. as long as you are connected just click the button next to your search bar and makke sure netsearch is checked. Also make sure it is enable in your preferences. I've tried it but haven't been impressed yet.

  • hey i like ur vdj skin were can i get it?

  • it is the turntablist skin. It is available on the vdj plugin site.

  • This video is EXTREMELY helpful...just bought a new Dell with Windows 7, wasnt sure it was gunna work...you walked me right through it...thanks..1 question thou, for some reason i have the virtual vinyl TCVs and its making me go to "other"..wtf?lol..these vinyls worked fine in vdj5? i hope this works this weekend...

  • My turntables (1200s) have served me well for 10 years. I have tried out the Generation 1 CDX joints and after a few months I had overheating problems and at that time the CDX was like $700.00 usd. The remark about vinyl and timecode had exaggerated prices. If you look at the chain of replies to you video you would see I was simple commenting on a previous post. so you can keep all your "ethernet dj thug fake bullshit up Canada! I'm a dj I respect the fraternity. Gotta get a camera soon pusc !

  • I been using my CDX's for the past year with no issues. BTW I spin in the the states and B.C., so consider me international;the only needle I would use with reliability for VV is the Ortifon digital which costs about $150 each locally.VDJ vinyl is $20 online or you can use

Serato at about $13 after tax. not having to buy it at all seems worth it to me. Murdamore, once you save up enough money to buy a camera feel free to post something, but haterade is not my flavor,so please quit your whining.

  • sounds like you have the old gen vinyls. V5 vinyls are what you need with the latest vdj. Try using Serato vinyl, it works just fine in all modes, including relative so you can needle drop.

  • Ow...man!...how did you install MAYA44Driver in windows 7?

  • use Vista 64 bit drivers from ESI's web site.

  • I know that's why IDK why this dude says this is a better alternative to traditional turntables!

  • I been spinning on these for a over a year. I got vids posted on VDJ's web site, and DJ clubs here and in Canada. Unless you got a vid to counter mine, go back to your mom's basement and practice you bedroom DJing. CDX's work fine. Turntable needs the vinyl and needles replaced regularly, and at $150 a needle and $20 a record, I'm happy with this alternative. Murdamore, if u got somethin better, post it and prove it.

  • Yea I heard some shit is wrong with the CD-ROMs. Some CDXs are fucked up so Numark dropped the price to like $199 each.

    lmaoo

  • The CD-Rom in a CDX is not enclosed like the ones on a CDJ-400. They need to be blown out with air or cleaned regularly with a cd cleaner. Maintain your gear and it works fine.

  • Hey! SICK VIDEOOO!

I was wondering when you said you were sick of changing cartridges. What did you mean by that?

    Thanks!

  • needle cartridges they wear out and you have to replace them ind its kind of a pain to replace them and set them up. not worth the effort when there are other options like the CDX..

  • very kool informative video!

  • Nice vid, very helpful. How is the latency with the Maya 44? Have you had any problems with delayed signal?

  • No problems at all. With all the adjustments I'm able to get really good response. I'll proly though a set up here to show off eventually.

  • For a hundred bucks this sound card is INCREDIBLE!!! I've got this soundcard and im using it with virtualdj 6 and I used this bid to tighten up all my settings thanks trey9! I got this setup with the b 52 prodigy fx and like i said triple9 got the settings down to a tee! If anyone is trying to set up thier timecodes with the maya 44 definately listen to triple 9 hes got some experience. keep all the tutorials comin! If anyone knows of a B-52 Prodigy FX skin for VDJ6 get at me wit it!

  • Thanks for the love yo.

  • Hey I was wondering if the Maya 44 USB is able to handle scratches on VDJ?

    Thanks!!

  • It handles heavy scratching fine. I'm not a scratch DJ by any means. It has been know to lock up if you do and over intense back spin, but you gotta really hit the backspin hard. It's due to how the song is cached in VDJ. If you spin past the cache (like 30 seconds) it has to reload it and you are moving faster than it can reload.

  • I'm a scratch dj and the maya 44 can handle your basic cuts and baby scratches but when your ready to get into a zone and rip the shit apart it tends to get a little poppy (crackley noise) Its a hundred buck solution. If your a novice scratcher then by all means this will work.but dj rectangle would never be able to use it! If your a decent scratch dj then it will be ok cuz as dj's we all know little tric ks to alter the music to make it sound tight! (you get what you pay for! John 1:14) lol

  • That's the truth DJ Mayhem. Being a house DJ I never do more than baby scratches, backspins, a few cutbacks and such. Uzi's and crabs might get a lil daunting on this thing, but to be honest if you're doin that you may want to consider real vinyl to get the full effect.
