iPhone 2G Slide to Unlock Problem

What happens to mine iPhone 3G is that when ever I lock the screen for quite a while it lags while I slide to unlock if anyone knows the problem please reply

Thank you!!! That freaking app screwed up my unlock slide. I went to iphone explorer and manually deleted all the iblacklist files. Then magically, my iphone worked!!! Way to go....

The problem is your using iphone with iMac.

hold the power and the home button at the same time till the power goes down then start it up again. Worked for me :D

I just got a phone in yesterday. I opened it up and disconnected cable number 3 and connected it again and it worked. Another problem would be the digitizer that doesn't work, I fix phones for a living hope this helps.

walahhh solves the problem..i hate the slide lock anyways

Ive found a solution! If you update to 3.1 and do not jailbreak but activate it with official sim that is supported and keep that sim in it will work but i found if you jailbreak thats when it gets stuck!!

I thought downgrading to 2.2.1 would fix the problem but that even has not helped.

The problem was on the midboard and I started to remove all cables that was hook on to the logicboard from the midboard and when i got into the " proximity sensor cable assembly " bingo the iphone 2g worked without any freezing after hours and hours of testing still fine. Once this flex cable is pluged back into to board the freezing starts again.

I have come to a solution at least on my case of this problem.

The problem I found on mine iphone after replacing nearly every bit available to replace eg: logicboard and Dysplay + digitizer, i only had the midboard left .

I have the same problem.

Has been happening for a long time now.

I have now replaced the Logic Board , Digitizer and LCD and still freezing the only bit left to replace is the middle board if I can't get it fix by replacing that I'll sell the parts.

Anyone can help.????

sorry im late in respondin but i went to the apple store and they did change out the phone because i was under my 1 year warrenty that came with the phone. i had jailbroken the phone twice and then just did a complete restore before i left and they didnt know a thing

Ahh man not worth it better off adding a bit more to get a 3GS. Did u ask why this problem is happening?

from what I seen its because the digitizers under the touch screen has gone bad and has 2 be replaced. I'm pretty sure it happened after u upgraded to 3.0.For me it happened when I upgraded to 2.0 & 3.0 in different locations. I've tried increasing the touch sensitvity which did help for awhile until recently.when bottom screen stop functioning I cant even use it.right now i'm gonna try downgrading firmwares but if nothing works i'll just buy the 3gs or blackberry bold.

on windows I use winpwn 2.5 do the 2.0.2 jailbreak then when the screen goes white I go in itunes hold shift then click restore then u can choose ur old firmwares

no i just randomly happened so i tried everything i could to get it to work but nothing yet. so i went to the at&t store to see what they could do. so now i have to go to an apple store to have them fix it so i just added a line and bought the new white iphone 3gs. but still have to get my other phone fixed. since there not an apple store in my home town i have to go to the nearest one. ill try and throw a video response your way
