Please read the description of the event rather than just posting egotistical comments. Brazilian Ju Jutsu was unknown when Seitoku Higa Sensei was a younger man and a very able martial artist. It is so easy to criticise retired old men, who try to help preserve a legacy.
I would tend to agree with you. The guys using the Yari are Bugeikan students who train under the Higa family. The empty handed defences demonstrated here by Seitoku Higa have their basis in Seikichi Uehara's Motobu Udun Di.

Yeah someone with training in a weapon does not choreograph their moves, but I think that Japanese martial arts should look into what arma does with their recreated sword techniques. They trian to use the techniques in a sparring or live fighting situation. If these techniques were drilled faster and done with a more active oponent then maybe they could reinvigarate the martial art.
I can assure you that after 36 years of training in martial arts including weaponry that demonstrations or displays are frequently choreographed. Also this is not a Japanese Martial Art but an Okinawan one that stems from Go Ten Te/Motobu Udun Te.
Ah you are talking about the attacks with yari, as pedritoelmalote said 'the charges are reckless'. Yes I must admit I was somewhat disappointed with that demo. I think a lot has to do with the way some of these Japanese weapons are used in Okinawa, which makes me somewhat sceptical about their place in certain Te systems.
What is fake about Seitoku Higa Head Master of the Okinawan Bugeikan and early student of Seikichi Uehara demonstrating empty hand defences against the Yari. Choreographed for a display maybe, fake No.

When I say choreograph I mean to imply that they don't make their attacks so easy to spot.
