Hey Man this is Dan Sartian here. You got it pretty damn close, however when I play it it's with full bar chords insted of the power chord style You are going with. The kind of chord that is close to a C chord, but You use your thumb too.

The thumb should be placed on the low E string while the index finger would be placed on the high strings.

Kind of like John Lennon is doing in this video

Actually I think I am playing the bar chords, I just dont play them the way you do :P.

Funny enough I actually didnt even know you could play bar chords like the way you do until I went to see YOU open for someone a year or two back and I was like "how the hell is he playing that chord?"

I was going to show you some videos of guys playing chords like that. john lennon uses them a lot, and so do a lot of rytham git players.
