I like the rock version by 70´s Slovak band called COLLEGIUM MUSICUM. They did parts of Scheherazade on their studio/live 2LP called Konvergencie. The song is called SUITA PO TISÍC A JEDNEJ NOCI (Suite after thousand and one night) - very very good song! Find it on Youtube!
This is my favorite piece of classical music of all time. I used to listen to it all the time driving to school and because I love to whistle, I can whistle the whole piece in time with the music. I always listen to this anytime I need to relax or even "jam out". I love this piece of music, LOVE. My favorite part is probably between 28:00-29:00, it makes my heart want to burst.
As a child I would often fall asleep listening to this incredible work of art. My dad let me record this piece in its entirety on his reel recorder, so I could listen to the entire piece without having to get up and turn the album over. I had many wonderous dreams inspired by this music. Only wished I could have shared my love of this piece with others of like mind, but I came up during a time when classical music wasn't popular. Thank you so much for uploading this. Nostalgia is bliss.
This was such a fantastic rendition of the piece that I had to painstakingly search for it online. After a good while I finally was able to find it on the publisher's website, and subsequently iTunes (They don't spell it Scheherazade, but rather Shéhérazade) before finally purchasing it. Now I can listen to it in all its 256kbps glory. Thanks for posting this! :)
I have loved this amazing, moving piece of music for years and have several versions; on vinyl, MP3, even cassette tape! Finally got around to reading the book on which this is based; tale within a tale within a tale within a tale within a tale within a tale within a tale... if you are going to read it, leave a trail of breadcrumbs so that you do not lose your way. Also, Aladdin was a terrible person! Violin solo was in an old Simpsons episode; the one with Truck-a-saurus.
My heart rushes, soars, cries & beats with exalted anticipation to the musical telling of this epic. I find it a tad bit disturbing that my generation (Gen X) will never aspire to create any near as beautiful...
Shite go walking about in the Nip and listen to Jim Pepper.

Definitely one of the best scores of music written, and I would know, I've played many of them. This transcends beyond words and comprehension.

An outstanding piece inspired by an equally awesome book. An Arabian soul flows through these instruments.

@NobleArc I feel your pain. It sucks when you find an amazing rendition of a song, but can't find that same one anywhere to buy.

This was used a lot in The Thief and the Cobbler (the Recobbled Cut, not the other two movies), and it was used very well. Thanks for uploading.
