  • thats a good one. my grandparents had one, i dropped many big thick loads in it, all of which went down, no double flushing required

they now have a TOTO drake, which is also nice it vibrates the floor when flushed

  • @gusherb94 Try a whole roll of toilet paper. Someone did on a Cadet 3 and it flushed! Sad to say, the Cadet 3 might be better than this. This toilet seemed to struggle.

  • @toiletfan1 Don't mistake the slow flush of this toilet for struggling. It didn't struggle one bit. The cadet 3 will plug alot easier then this toilet. I know, I have both.

  • @gusherb94 I will send you a video I found of a Cadet 3 flushing a whole roll of toilet paper. And this toilet struggled not because of the slow flush. Because it started to fill up and then it gurgled louder than usual.

  • Is this a whole roll of toilet paper?

  • @toiletfan1 Close but no.

  • would it flush a diaper?

im only trying 2 be nice.

  • oh my gaud

  • that toilet has talent

  • I was looking at his toe in the corner the whole time

  • I guess it can flush my turds then because my turds clog up my toilets.

  • sveet

  • great

  • cool

  • can u flush a diaper down that toilet

  • nice

  • i cant believe that went trought he tiny toilet whole O.O

  • I'm 6'3" and 240 lbs, and my turds could totally plug that fucker up.

  • @AL454 Then the only thing you wouldn't be able to plug is an outhouse...

  • Comment removed

  • @gusherb94 what about a vacuum toilet?

  • @gusherb94 i plugged an outhouse once

  • @crazy32495 How to you clog an outhouse? LOL

  • @VintageToiletsRock Drop a tree trunk in there...

  • @gusherb94 LOL Great tactic!

  • This is why we should have stopped at 1.6GPF toilets, it simply can't get the shit down anymore, this toilet's fucking awesome. Fucking 1.28GPF, they're 100% unsanitary and useless. I say 1.6GPF for piss, and 3.5GPF for shit. I win.

  • @KingMacintosh yeah, we should repeal these stupid FEDERAL laws regarding water use!!!!! especially if we are using recycled water!!!!!

  • Hunger of shit is raising in my toliet what do I do???

  • i can't believe your toilet flushed that

  • @stevenhamlin1000 American toilets are the worst in the world, when are you people going to get real toilets?

  • @luke11355 american toilets are good better then cinese toilets

he flushed a shit load of toilet paper

  • Can a Cadet III flush this much toilet paper?

  • @michaelenandry not a chance

  • OMG!! It flushed down that many stuff down an American Standard Cadet!? That dude flushed it down with no problem!! I didn't know a toilet can flush that many. Neither a cadet.

  • can it flush my ex girlfriend to?

  • @xPyrodudez Of course!!!

  • I flush all toitlet paper and it got stuck

  • I've got a Mansfield Alto from '95. Put a third of that in it and it will clog. I rent, otherwise I'd replace the thing.

  • that makes my toilet look so sh.itty

  • ah hell yeah!

  • O.o

  • I got one of these today from 1952. But mine has an octagon base and a powerfull flush

  • wow, nice. mine does work tht well.

  • Pretty impressive. I want one. LOL

  • thats crazy...

  • my toilet cant do that! D:<

  • this is amazing. Too bad we have whimpy 1.6 now :( Kohler and TOTO have a good flush.

  • it may look like it wont go but guess it does.

  • Wow. That toilet could actually handle one of my massive dumps!

  • I work in water/wastewater. Those low flush toilets don't use much water... that's true.

The problem is they use so little water that the solids don't flow in the pipes properly. Water is the carrier for the human waste but there's grease and other materials that go in there that stick to the inner walls of the pipe. This creates a need to flush the sewers more often which uses a lot of water. On a private residence they also tend to plug up septic fields.

  • @magster65 Long live the high flow!

  • Very good, I was 95% sure it would block!

  • Why can't a modern day toilet be this good, if not better?

  • Older toilets were allowed to use more water than modern toilets, back in the day it was normal for toilets to flush between 4 and 5 gallons per flush. Nowadays it's government regulated to no more than 1.6 gallons and it's gonna be taking another step down to 1.2 during the new decade.

  • @gusherb94 are you serious about that 1.2 gpf law? if there is, fuck the government

  • California is already been aggressively phasing in 1.2 GPF for a couple years now.

  • @gusherb94

So, say if I put this much toilet paper, in a modern toilet, the ones that have the buttons that say poop or pee, if I press pee, with the tp go down? ^__^ XD

  • @Beldar4214 There is. The American Standard Champion 4. I have two of them installed in my home and they work better than this one and they only use less than 1.5 gallons of water. Also, only one flush does the job and you will never need a plunger again!

  • IDK saying your Champion4 is a better flusher than the 59 Standard is making a pretty big claim. Now I'd like to see it beat mine.

  • @gusherb94

is this a discution about toilets?

  • This is back when American Standard made good toilets.

  • Remember when toilets use to work?

  • Very much so, that's why I've got an oldie in my bathroom.

  • Wow.. I want it!

  • now THATS a toilet!

  • I wish that ratings were enabled so that I could give this five stars.

  • pas male se toilette la jador

  • a Toliet from 1959?....Two Words...Quality Construction!

  • Very much so! I try to find only the best quality in possessions that way I don't have to be living completely in a throw away life.

  • i also like the Color...its a Nice Color for a Toliet....do they still make colored toliets?

  • Yeah there's still quite a few colors available on toilets these days... there just not popular right now, white is still in fashion.

  • @gusherb94 Theres this store in my town called habistore and its like a homedepot with furniture and tv and thing like that. Its like a huge home depot. But alot of the stuff people donate. One of the things is toilets. A hotel donated 120 1970s white eljer emblems. I called it eljerpaloosa!! It was amazing. I also saw a couple older american standards with the gothic american-standard logo. They were the cadet model of toilet. That store always has toilets from rennovations.

  • WOW I would be in heaven if we had a store as big as that here with that many toilets! the local habitat for humanity store never has many good toilets and they way over charge for them. a 1970s Cadet is THE toilet that I've been looking for.

  • @gusherb94 Yeah its kinda like a habitat for humanity. But the one I go to is called habistore and there are always hotel renovations and a lot of the hotels on the east side of my town has the 3.5 to 5 gallon toilets and they come from those hotels. I saw a urc atlas there but they also had a cadet It was such a hard desision I did'nt end up getting eiter one of them. :,( But u know what they say u'll always find sometin better out there. :)

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhh O_O

  • wow this 1959 cadet toilet pwns my 2007 regular toilet -.-

  • FUCK>>.. I wanted to to this video!!!! nice!

  • i have a 1971 model blue it flushes a lot

  • my toilet would fuck up so bad if it tried to do this...

  • My would too

  • it uses 4 gallons per flush and that's what it was designed for. I'm quite convinced the later Cadet's were designed for 5 GPF though.

  • It appears that this model has a "booster" jet at the front, opposite the exit. My all-time favorite had the big exit at the front and a booster jet at the back. This made the S-curve visible on the sides. It was ugly, but who cares?! This thing would thrust everything out with power, not like new models that leave you wondering if it will make it out or not.

  • Your thinking about front trap toilets, the only front trap model Standard made in the 50s and 60s was the Standard Compton.

  • holy crap!!!!!!!

  • I have a Cadet too! But it's a 1972 and the date to prove it says "jan 20 1972". It's a fine toilet alright!

  • At the end the toilet had a good burp.

  • 24 hours ago I was at my grandma's house she still has the same toilet the was put in the house in 1963 when it was new and the toilets are still used every day! I was there last night like 10:00pm and i cloged it up we had to plung it she also has a 80's microwave oven stove and has a 1984 tv that has a snes with super mario bros on it and a 1996 tv and 2003 windows xp the only new thing they have is a 2009 tv in there room.

  • Hmm 1963... I think that would have been the newer model Cadet by then, they still had an excellent flush but not quite as good as the previous generation. It sounds like that one is due for an extensive overhaul and that should get it working like brand new again.

  • Dear lord!!!!!lol

  • Because its funny to watch people like you goof off during my summer holidays.

  • I'm not bothering with you anymore BLOCKED.

  • What a mole! Thats just brilliant to think of time-wasters like that! Get a life.

  • Whatever, I really don't care about your opinion or anyone elses, in-fact it puzzles me why you would take the time to write such a comment, cuz I truly DON'T CARE!

  • FUCK OFF

  • what a beast!!!

  • Yes, as you keep watching the vids of this toilet you will quickly see how I've never had to break out the plunger on this baby.

  • wow your lucky u got a strong toilet i have an American Standard and almost every time i take a dump i gotta bring out the plunger and that doesnt work most of the time so my mom has to use some soap boiling water and some other stuff to get it unclogged u my friend hav the best toilet i have ever seen in my life **************

  • Thanks, it's the best toilet I've ever seen and used in my life too. what kind of toilet is your A-S? (age and model)

  • its American Standard 1.6 gal/ 6ltrs. and its from December 05, 1995 thats what it says on the back if thats what you meen by age so the toilet is 14yrs old

  • The 90s was serious dark ages for toilets, at that time every single plumbing company was making atrocious toilets then especially A-S.

  • aww man so this is as bad as it gets huh well that explains alot thanks for the info

  • Thats because the gov't mandated that all toilets flush with only 1.6 gallons of water. Now toilet companies have learned to use 1.6 gallons more effectively.

  • Now theres a classic! I've seen several of these "Standard" Cadets flush with just 2 or 3 gallons and flush better than the Cadet II with a tank full (even though I like the Cadet II)

    =D

  • Yeap, this one flushes exactly 4 gallons of water which is 1 gallon less than the average back then.

  • yeah i have to be careful about how much i flush down it at once it will clog the drain before the toilet clogs.

  • Did you use Extra Strength Drano, ZEP enzime cleaner and Sulfuric Acid to clen the toilet pipes?

  • No, the clog cleared itself within five minutes.

  • woa thats strong...

  • I see you on Terry Love's Forums O_o

    Me is Neotonic xD

  • Nice powerfull toilet, and I like the colour too.

  • i wish my toilet can do it :D

  • That is awesome! Shows how much a 5-gallon toilet can really suck down! Very impressive.....with a great gurgling action at the end. :)

  • WOW NOW THATS GOTTA BE ONE OF THE MOST POWERFULLEST TOILETS I'VE SEEN! Nice design and colur too.

  • You should see my downstairs doing this. It can get the paper into the trap in seconds. :P

  • Cool. have you gotta video of it?

  • Not yet, but I can take one tomorrow if you want.

  • its up to you if you want to make a video.I dont mind

  • coooolll

  • thanks

  • nice toilet, it's a classic

  • My washdown toilet can flush that much paper. :P But that is very good for an American style toilet.

  • okay i just posted video of the toilet with no tp + a bonus of it flushing in tank view

  • Could you do this without any paper at all for us?

  • :::fantastic flush!
