Every time I see a mass destruction episode that involves people that don't know about aliens, I think about how many people must run up to the fountain thingy outside the Millenium Center everyday to see if the Torchwood HQ really exists.

He crossed his own time line.

Imagine a line that's jack's life it has a lot of loops in it but since he began torchwood i hasn't looped a lot, now since John brought him back to 27ad his timeline looped back onto itself and that's why he says he can't meet himself because he is still there working for torchwood. Time travel can't keep it straight in your head.

@Anna464 because he still did remember time can be rewritten and is not a straight linear thing. To quote the 10th doctor "its a ball of wibbly wobbly timey wyme stuff". Jack was buried after he brought them together he technically exsisted in two places at once with the team and buried underneath Cardiff. So in all cases really a paradox but a non damaging one.

@Anna464 because it is his present self that was buried not his past self, torchwood and the team was already brought together before he was buried

@Anna464 Time isn't a straight line, Jack was still born when he was born and he still lived the same life. He was taken from that exact time and taken back in time. Anyone normal would have died. However, he has been beneath the earth since then while the other Jack (When he was born) lived the life he already had but he was still buried. Then on that time line Jack was taken and the Jack that was originally buried is still beneath the ground. Then it goes around in circles if you get me
