  • looks good and you couldmaybe take a less bulky sleeping bag if you are not loosing heat to the ground. I wonder if it will fit in a gossamer rucksack to act as frame padding

  • Enjoyed the review, well presented mate!

  • hi..you do very good reviews...well worth watching

  • @richardsracingmad thanks Richard :-)

  • just enjoy the workout, nice mat nice review

  • Thanks for that Matthew :) Have been looking for a really good mat for a while. This one might be it

  • The new version is even better with it's integrated pump!!!

  • mine (the one in this video) finally gave up the goat on the last trip in Oz. It's done some miles has that mat and held up like a trouper.... but that means I get to get a new one :-) I'll do a new video when the new gear arrives!

  • Excellent review

  • oh that's a good tip.... will try that next time - cheers!

  • They are a good bit of kit arent they?

the reason it keeps you warmer Matt is that the Goose-down insulates you from the ground and doesn't allow the heat to 'radiate' away like air will in an air filled bed.

To make the mat easier to put away, try putting a tube onto the valve and SUCKING the air out after you have rolled it, you will be surprised how much smaller you will be able to make it!
