  • how tall are you

  • You bitch buy for 15 sell for 50

  • Good stuff. I was so close to selling my 25" Record. I started to looking for other large framed bikes like the one you have here and quickly noticed they are kind of rare here in Vancouver. So glad I didn't sell! I'm having a lot of fun doing the repairs it needed myself and gettin' her to run like new again.

  • Aren't $15 rubbish sale bikes the best? Also center pull brakes! Road bike makers today still haven't caught on, and still make the side pulls. I found and Eaton Road King last year for $15 and an old Supercycle tall frame with centerpulls for $14.99.

  • That Looks like my bike! Only my frame is smaller...

mine had the shit modded out of itit has newer shimano 600 components and mavic 700 cm wheels... newer sugino maxy cranks suntour Bar-Con Shifters...

    And I love it!

  • i just paid 140 for this exact same bike here in california mines the black and blue colors though.

  • haha i moved to kenosha for a year i miss it

  • i have the same bike but short frame. what size bearings does it have?

  • Greetings from the UK. Nice bike btw. Im thinking of buying and selling bikes, where abouts would you say is the best place to sell them? ebay? Thanks

  • in the shape it's in, it would d go easily for 100-175 here in Atlanta.

  • TLC. what do you mean....?

  • TLC means tender loving care. Just minor little inexpensive repairs to get the bicycle road worthy again.

  • nice bike, i have a 1984 raleigh marathon 12 speed.

  • This is an awesome bike. I came across a 1980's Raleigh Super Record in mint condition with all original Raleigh and SR Suntour parts. The guy wanted $98 dollars for it but I knocked it down to a grand total $95 dollars! Not a week later, I found the same exact bicycle on Craigslist posted by a different seller who wanted $275 for it. I love the bicycle and definitely want to make it my everyday form of transportation, but if the price is right, I'm willing to flip it!

  • This bike is really cool.

I just legran 10 speed last week for 10 bucks.

But I dont know what year it was made:/

  • craig, if you were in calif. you could get $200. for it

people are going crazy over road bikes over here, good luck to you and I read that rude comment, people are so stupid and dont know why they have to be so dum and nerdy.

  • Thanks for your politeness, and understanding. From what ive seen i know bicycles sell very well out by you. I could probably sell my whole fleet out there for over 1000 in less than a month. On the other hand people are cheap here, and i cannot price bicycles too much otherwise they pile up. I like to price things so they move, so i can keep rotating the fleet. I sold the bicycle about a month ago to a bicycle mechanic for 60 dollars who wanted to put expensive wheels on it.

  • you didn't restore it, you made it work, you don't know a damn thing about bicycles.

  • I did not say i restored it dipshit, and for your information yes i made it work. In order to get top dollar for my bicycles i have to make them work. Otherwise people cannot ride them. Common sense! If i dont know shit about bicycles why did i fix, and resell over 25 of them last year? I also fixed alot as a kid during the 1980's. Typical young punk smart mouthed Youtuber you are. Get some manners, and think before making rude comments. Have some respect!

  • listen, if you really know how to fix up bikes then you should know: that bike needs new, brake cables, shifter cables, new cable housing, it needs new tires, a new chain, and new grips for starters. also, you never ever, EVER put WD-40 on a bike chain, it destroys them! an other thing is the bikes size is mesured by the seat post tube not the steam tube. and if you realy know about bikes, then, why don't you sell the very very valuable shimano 600 stuff on ebay? its worth more then $150 alone.

  • Im sorry to say this, but i dont think you know what you are talking about. The cables on that bicycle worked fine, and they were in perfect unfrayed condition. The chain was fine, and i just used WD40 to lighten the greasy chain up to see if it was the result of the skipping chain problem, and it was. I dont usually use WD 40 to lubricate chains. I did not say that the frame was measured from the fork tube. I was saying you can tell that it is a tall frame from a distance.

  • no, i know very well what I'm talking about, the bike has original components including the chain, cables and, cable housing. that stuff is all 30 years old... waaaayyyy to old. they must be replaced for you to have a proper road bike. and if the chain is so bad that it needs WD-40 then it should be replaced right away. and my friend, if you want to let people know what the bikes size is then you tell them the seat post length (center of top tube to center of BB) for example: "i ride a 54 cm"

  • 6o dollars to kill your nuts.

  • Nice bike- i used to tinker with bikes for years - had a gazillion spare parts and like 6 bikes- then sold most of em in a garage sale. Id get alot of bikes for free - just for parts.

Alot of classic bikes go for a ton of money-

  • I think I remember you posting a vid of this bike last year. I don't think you talked in it either. Nice bike Craig

  • Keep safety with those genitals.

Keep going until you find that right buyer.

  • That is a nice bike Craig, I like it, you don't see bikes that way no more, especially with fenders. That in my opinion is worth more then 50 bucks I think 50 bucks is a good deal don't you think? Yeah just a little TLC and it will be fine. I loved your video, thanks for sharing

    Peace :)

  • nice video, thanks craig

  • 2 things Craig. 1 the rear fender is on upside down & 2 you ask WAAAY too low for the stuff you sell. I mean c'mon snowblowers for $30??? I sold a yardsale bike I got for free for $90 last summer. All I did was adjust the brakes. That vintage bike should start @ $175. That way your best offer will be about double your asking price. Sorry I came off as such an Ahole. It just bothers me to see a guy get abused by joe "cheapskate" public...

  • Yeah i understand, but people are cheapskates here. I price things so they move, and dont accumulate. I will do a little more research on the Raleigh though because its early vintage. You could tell by looking at the decals. My 1965 Schwinn Stingray which i had for over 22 years i definately know not to sell for 20 bucks because one just like it in a little worse condition sold on ebay for over 600 dollars. Judging by that observation mine is worth over 1000.

  • craig you live in kenosha too?

  • a bike licence!

  • No its not what you are thinking. Not having a bicycle licence does not keep you off the road. The licence is more like a code just in case the bicycle gets stolen.
