interesting that a cia consultant (during time of vietnam war) was teaching at Berkley....i have always believed that most professors (left or right....and he tended to be an admixture) are tools of this govt and cia......if they dont go along, to get along, they will end up like norm finkelstein........how do you think chomsky has been untouched all these years, but academia (including justice Kagan a professor at time) tried to ruin and silence Finkelstein
I didn't know Mr. Chalmers Johnson... until I heard a conversation on Amy Goodman on NPR a few day ago. I wish I would have been more informed about him. It's to bad that this type of information comes out after the facts. This morning on NPR I heard of the machinations the U.S. is and has been doing concerning the problems in Mexico. Also, last knight on the same station 90.7fm in Spanish there was information about the U.S. meddling in Mexican affairs/politics and conspiring to overthrow it.
Your reasons for changing your mind don't ring true to me. It sounds like it's more directly related to financial concerns than to "new information." You had to be a dumb-fuck not to be aware of American Imperalism prior to 1991--and you are not that.
As Noam Chomsky would say: this is another miracle of our educational system.People prefer entertainment to knowledge. You should appreciate it instead of being sad about it.You can tell yourself you are superior in a certain way lol I'm sarcastic but it's true.
The US NEVER cared for parity with the Russians. To have actually 'helped' the Russians following the 'end' of the Cold War is ludicruous. The clear US perception was world hegemony and to share it with NO ONE. It is for this reason the US couldn't tolerate a strong Russia, and therefore none of the promised help for Russia was mostly a ruse. The US is clearly willing to sacrifice anything to achieve this world control.

It's now February 2009, and this clip was posted April 2008...do you think that it's been viewed only 2,600 times? If so, very sad.

Yeah. . .well . . the original video is probably pre-2000 and even as far as that goes he misrepresents alot of stuff.
Things have changed alot
