@HedgehogAirsoft there are a few trucks that will tread witha supra,, umm a dodge dakota R/T with a 5.9, chevy silverado SS and dodges hemis are quite powerfull. or if u wanna make it easy a diesel, they have loads of horsepower and twice as much torque. as far as cars, well......subarus are fast as are lancers. anything with a turbo really man. if u can get ur hands on a skyline ull prb beat ur buddy lol. stay away from modern american muscle unless u want a reall expensive paperweight.

supras can get 5.5 sec on na you just need to have a lot of work done on the engine. forged internals , cams and valve timing adjusted etc stock is about 7.5 secs though
I dunno, it's just not a Supra without the 2JZGTE. I was in my 2JZGTE swapped SC300 and saw a Supra coming up behind me all dressed up. I got all pumped. Was going to finally see how the SC stacked up against one. He started getting on it and I started getting going and he suddenly just stopped gunning it and turned off on a side street. I saw the car parked 2 days later. no intercooler, looked in the window..5 speed. Must have heard the BOV and backed off.
@M44resto - If you know much about Supra, can you take a non turbo and make it into a twin ? Mainly see non turbos being sold, plus the only LHD ones are non turbo.. Wouldnt be able to drive a RHD car.
@xDilutedx The 2JZ-GE N/A in the non-turbo Supras can handle boost pretty well up to about 350-400hp. Almost the same block as the 2JZGTE but with less oil 'squirters'. Also has a different head, intake manifold, higher compression pistons, and thinner connecting rods. I wouldn't bother with a twin turbo setup off the Supra. Most people lose the TT and go one large single turbo when they start modding. You should probably look at a stronger trans too like the R154.
@M44resto - The Supra GE and GTE are the same engines, just the GTE came with Turbos right ? Just started gathering info on this car and Im still quite lacking in knowledge.
Im seeing Turbo kits for the 2JZ-GE, Stage I Price: $4495.00 and Stage II Price: $5249.00 at turbo-kits website. If I got one of those and threw it in, that would do fine ?
I'd go ahead and get it in a manual. The 5 speed tranny in the non-turbo is pretty well built. I had one behind my 2JZGTE before I swapped it for a stronger trans and it held up to 400+hp well with a good clutch(although I wouldn't push my luck on that). The non-turbo's fuel economy is ok but not that great. Better in a manual. I'm not sure what it converts to over there, but they get about mid-low 20 miles per gallon highway. Comparable to many newer V8 cars.

There is a automatic non turbo with a Targa Top and then there is another one, a 5gear manual, non turbo also no targa top, but this one says, it has a "wheel away" front spoiler, that comes out with high speed.
I heard the manual gear shifts better/faster but the automatic gets a higher max. speed. is that right?

@23aus32 it is actually a heavy car, but you never feel it. runs very smooth in bends and drifts easily, and comfortable handling in the same time.
But if you mean heavy for its power, then i should say No, the n/a engine has got a huge amount of power, about 220HP, so it'll be able to carry 2 times weight of this car easily.

@23aus32 i got an NA supra 96, i believed it was as people say 'a boat' till i drove it, then it decided to almost spin me 180 with about 50% of the pedal down lol it feels light high rpm, as all NA cars, the power is linear with rpm so it has to be high rpm to pull hard (turbo has a big spike mid-range cuz of turbo so it feels less sluggish low down)...the bonnet is so light, compared to commodore ones, it feels like 2-5KG honestly, i wonder how light a TT feels, na feels lighter than TT 300zx

I love Supras, one of the best looking cars! I especially love it with the spoiler removed. Although my mate has a non turbo manual 94 Supra and stock 0-100 is about 7 to 8 seconds.

@simplejax: What you see in this video is a stock non-turbo supra. They've got about 220 HP. The difference of acceleration in N/A and TT model is only about 0.7 seconds for 0-100ks.
So its definitely a really powerful and worthy car to begin with, and also runs much cheaper in terms of fuel.

@ChsSami because the top of the line supra with a high pressure turbo has 206kw. This guy claims that this supra is 166kw and does 0-100in 5.3 seconds. my BMW 535i is MUCH faster and it's nowhere near 5.3 seconds. This car is more like an 8 second car with about 125-130kw.

A naturally aspirated Supra is more than capable of running the time in your video.. With a few small modifications (Extractors, pod filter etc) these small changes do make a big difference.

Also see the time 1:02 when shift the 2nd gear to 3rd. The odometer goes up a bit slower while shifting. What does it mean to you my friend? on a down hill road odometer will never goes up slower even while shifting. Try it 100s of time for yourself, get some idea and then come back on yotube and comment for different people. right?

Bit hard to believe 5.3 seconds....the SZ-R models with VVT-i (Nowhere near V-Tec) would even struggle. Unless you got your internals modd'ed the fuck out i think 5.3 is too hard to achieve. I can believe its a n/a though as it doesnt rev like a Twin Turbo would but this is definably modded.
Stock Twin Turbos would probably just hit 5 seconds.

i am not used to RHD so i was prefering a Automatic supra, but i heard the automatic gear shifts like sh!t... should I rather buy a 5Gear Non Turbo?
And might be a stupid question, but how much is the consumption of a Non Turbo?
I heard the Twin Turbo needs like 15-20litres on 100km
how much would it be with a Non Turbo?

God you all talk shit, most of you have no idea what ur on about. NA supra 7 to 7.5 seconds to the 100kph mark THATS IT NO FASTER. If any other stats are quoted they are full of shit. I own a 2jz vvti soarer and had a supra which are exactly the same engine. Done many runs at the track. NO FASter

@saminvasli It's true, anyway JDM NA Supra is much faster than an USDM Supra, the USDM have more weight than JDM...
And its true all u say, i have same Supra, 100% like ur, same colour, imported from Japan, but with 17" wheels from TT model, 235 front and 265 rear, 3" fujitsubo exhaust syst. and Bilstein gold edition suspension...
Run same as ur, few secs and i flying around 180km/h

mate owns a 95 supra. was NA, was a slow piece of shit, bought a TT front cut
now its just shy of 400hp atw at only 16psi
there is no way a NA supra can go 0-100 in 5 seconds.
the new R8 malloos only do 0-100 in 5 seconds

Why i say that? Bcs i have same JDM Supra as this owner's video... Same in all, colour, RHD, lights, the uniq. diff is my Supra have 17" rims from JDM TT with wide slicks...And my SZ is fast as hell =S

@cradlenazi the supra in manual will absolutely SHIT on a soarer, its all about the driver to be honest. i have both a soarer non turbo (my dads) and me a supra tt (was non turbo before) and when we used to race he would beat me in my supra and i would beat him in my supra, the gear ratios on a soarer arent for racing they are for fuel efficiency

@cradlenazi not true, I used to own a non turbo MKIV with no modifications on it and it pulled 178 WHP on the dyno and could 0 to 100 in 6 seconds. Learn to drive!

@simplejax: What you see in this video is a stock non-turbo supra. They've got about 220 HP. The difference of acceleration in N/A and TT model is only about 0.7 seconds for 0-100ks.
So its definitely a really powerful and worthy car to begin with, and also runs much cheaper in terms of fuel.

@ChsSami because the top of the line supra with a high pressure turbo has 206kw. This guy claims that this supra is 166kw and does 0-100in 5.3 seconds. my BMW 535i is MUCH faster and it's nowhere near 5.3 seconds. This car is more like an 8 second car with about 125-130kw.

I just watched your video and read some of the comments below...
One user in particular (adamgm84) caught my attention in regards to how much he DOES NOT know in regards to a 2JZ N/A Supra and most likely a TT Supra.
A naturally aspirated Supra is more than capable of running the time in your video.. With a few small modifications (Extractors, pod filter etc) these small changes do make a big difference.
Its good to see more Australian's with Supra's.
The inline 6 is an amazing engine.

the 2nd clip of you accelerating is how fast my bpu supra accelerates (thats stock twin turbos at 18psi)
which is almost 400 wheel hp.
so keep dreamin if you think that road is flat and a NA supra is doing that.
video does mention a hilly road though, so i will enjoy the video for what it is

my friend, if you've ever owned a supra and driven it, by watching this video gently you'll realise that this road is a normal road by the ENGINE's SOUND. Go and drive your car (whatever it is) on a down hill road and you'll see how ridiculous the odometer goes up without matching the engine's sound...

Also see the time 1:02 when shift the 2nd gear to 3rd. The odometer goes up a bit slower while shifting. What does it mean to you my friend? on a down hill road odometer will never goes up slower even while shifting. Try it 100s of time for yourself, get some idea and then come back on yotube and comment for different people. right?

im telling everyone right now a 3400lb hardtop jdm supra with a 2jz-ge is not pullin 5.3 sec 0-100km/h on flat ground.
and im guessing your car weighs more than that with the stock rims and probably still has all the oem crap in the hatch area

@saminvasli 5,3 is a bit fast tho but i think 5,6 to 6 secs would definitly be the 0 to 100 mark. I own a 94 jspec supra NA with a nur spec s back box and an AFC. My car takes off as fast as a TT but when both reach 70/80km TT takes over.

i was just reading some of what you guys have to say while there is a fair bit of wisdom here.but its funny the ones who have a store bought tt and wait till redline to shift think they can drive . most cars are geared to get 100 km pretty quick ,its top speed that turbos have most effect. getting off the line is the key and na 2jz wont get much wheel spin. and you dick heads who said the it is 7 sec pause the vid at 100ks and you get around 5.5 soft cocks so stop hatin

Jap laws prohibit any jap made car to 180km/h...simple tune of ecu i think and its pissed off...
Bit hard to believe 5.3 seconds....the SZ-R models with VVT-i (Nowhere near V-Tec) would even struggle. Unless you got your internals modd'ed the fuck out i think 5.3 is too hard to achieve. I can believe its a n/a though as it doesnt rev like a Twin Turbo would but this is definably modded.
Stock Twin Turbos would probably just hit 5 seconds.

I just tore into it and put a nice pounding stereo in it! Its a 1994 tt supra. Its silver full molded body kit all kindas of good shit under the hood. Its sick as fuck and I have had allot of time in that shit at the drags and getting way to stoned on mtshasta! any way peace out man.

because every japanese car stopps to accelerate at 180kph - more is not allowed in japan :) I know it sounds stupid but at least that´s what I´ve heared from a friend who bought a stock R33 skyline which also stopps to accelerate at 180kph
