@trixr4kidzs - That day about a 1:49.X...but I have done 1.47.X when my Dinan Stage 2 was working. If I had more camber...wider tires...I think I could have run a high 1:44. Mute point now...I no longer own the 335i.
@s4to335 that was a fast reply lol. and nice laptime also. i did a 1:55 in a stock 325is (except tires) im trying to modify it so i can compete with the all the miatas in my class and just wanted to know if u had an good recommendations.
@trixr4kidzs - how much camber do you have? I would try to get about 2 degrees negative up front if you can. Suspension helps a lot as well...also an LSD helps on two turns there...T3 and T4...you can get the power down more and end up quicker between T4 and T5. Above all...seat time is the best. I have been going to Laguna since 2001.
@s4to335 i have only been to the track twice now. and ya i couldnt agree more about the seat time thing. and thanks for the advice i greatly appreciate it. im going to go check the camber now actually haha. anyways, thanks for the video and the advice
@trixr4kidzs - check my channel..I have a few more videos of me racing my Miata at Laguna...my best time (with the old berms and configuration) was a high 1:52..but remember I only had 100 bhp. :-)
Well...a couple of reasons...this was an intermediate group...and I have been an high performance driving instructor for 10 years. There are lots of porsche owners that are faster than I at that track. Johannes van Overbeek would pass me like I was standing still. Do a google search on him
oh so i was just wonderin was your car faster than those porsches if it was a straight road?? like hp wise... cus i have a 335 too but arent porsches much more expensive?
No...those cars would be faster on a straight road. My car was not chipped tuned at that event...I just went thru corners faster..and braked later than they did. I believe both of those cars were GT3s. I am not positive though.
I am ok...not great. Its just those guys werent really pushing it. The more you do track driving...the more you find people that are faster than you. :-)
I have a Dinan stage 2...but everytime I go out with it on the track..I get issues...CELs...limp modes..weird exhaust noises..probably from wastegates staying open...probably run stock from now on...
Have you brought it back to them to get it fixed? Man, I wouldnt spend all that money just to have CELs and all that other crap come up. I mean, Dinan is BMW's direct tuner shop right? They should get it done right.
I have been driving on track for 12 years...I passed between T10 and T11..and that was a no-no for this particular intermediate session that day. Normally you can pass between T11 and T1, between T4 and T5, between T5 and T6, sometimes between T6 and T7. However, there are some advanced groups that let you pass everywhere.
what was lap time(s)? if u know

Was the Dinan chip installed by a BMW dealer? I've always heard good things about their chips... Them or Vishnu sound like good chip sets.

No..it was installed by Dinan..I live near them. Vishnu is local to me as well.
