I really cannot understand the reason of those rubati at your introduction.the main notes the upper and lower are lost and we listen so cantabile the arpeggios as if in the passage there were more important notes than others.is that for security?the agitato part i find clean and very well played.

@daddy2foots no offense, but there is not much other to do from that position on a violin. if you have one, try to even get your ring finger around with your wrist as lightly and comfortably that high on the fingerboard.

Nice. Finally some originality. I loved the descent from the high A: five tones in a row with the same finger! A very Paganiniesque fingering.

If i was from the jury i would eliminate him from the competition. Yes people should have their own interpretations but not invent so much,and in the scales why all that circus?He is trying to show that he is a musician but who understand the violin will see that he is adjusting to his technique.

As odd of an interpretation the opening and ending arpeggiated sections were, this performance was a lot more convincing than Dan Zhu's sloppy and rushed out of tune (amatuer) performance of the same work. I heard EVERY note in this performance, and the intonation was quite good in this performance.
