  • No life!!!

  • You could sell this.

  • I wish you would make a tutorial video, it would get tonnes of views! I want one of these really bad but I have NO idea how to start making it.

  • Very creative.

  • Your die sides are off (1 is opp 6, 2 opp 5 and 3 opp 4) but other than that great puzzle

  • that is fucking amazing you could make profits of that

  • cool broo i like this project..saludos amigo

  • Magic!

  • um the 1 and the 6 are supposed to be on opposite sides. Its not a real dice if you dont do that

  • How much for one?

  • are u willing to sell it?

  • good job !

  • plz make me one. i will pay you.

  • Что будет когда батарейки сядут?...

  • Surprised that no-one has mentioned that 'dice' is plural....'die' is the singular.

  • @egastap It is surprizing, though if my title read "Secret die box" the majority of viewers would more than likely be folks looking for caskets :p

  • @egastap

I don't care, in my langage the singular and plural is the same.

Als not everybody is American you know nobody knows that (not even every American does), so fuck it!

  • Excellent!!

  • There is something wrong: The sum of the numbers on opposite faces is not seven eg: 6 + 2 = 8 and not 7 as it should

  • Very cool, but the "eyes" arent on the right place:D

  • omg this is so fken amazing

  • the die isn't configured correctly. the opposite sides must equal 7. like 6+1. this dice has 6 adjacent to 1

  • I did a little bit of PIC programming at college, This is pretty impressive, and it's certainly a cool idea for a hidden box.

  • Really fantastic but I wish it was mechanical :-) and not electrical :-(

    Lovely Item :-)

  • its not secret u put it on youtube and everyone saw it

  • u didnt do the dots right.

  • @capj4zombieglitcher i was going to say the same thing, obviously Canadians dont know how to add to Seven lol

  • This is a very smart idea.

  • smart cookie!

  • thats awesome!!

  • not to be mean but usually a dice's opposite sides add up to 7 like 6 and 1

  • would you make and sell this iten

  • Have you ever though of making a full beginers walk through of how to make something like this? I for one would love to make one :)

  • Very cool.

  • very clever, but i would have used a hammer dont see any other purpose

  • awsome!!

  • Lawl! its the wrong order! i mean the dice is! its 6-1 5-2 4-3 not 5-1 6-2 3-4

    But nice box!

  • How much?

  • nerds rule!!

  • SO FREAKING COOL!

  • Sweet

  • omg thats so awesome!!

  • That is so cool

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Itz am-fukin-mazing

  • nice were do you get one of these at ???

  • hide an opened inkwell or art supplies in it, by the time you've entered the combination you've made a big mess.

  • but a die the opposing sides add to 7

  • Finally, now I can hide my embarrassing christmas photo of spongebob

  • Do you sell them?

  • haha you got the sides wrong, opposite sides should add up to 7 every time :)

a thief might notice this and become suspicious of your dice...

  • the dislike bar is the size of justin bieber's penis

  • @brickbuilder3 well there is no dislike bar, so correct

  • looks great but you placed the numbers on the dice incorrectly, every opposite side added together should add up to 7.

  • how you make it can you make one for me i'll buy if off you

  • that was fucking awesome

  • smart

  • Make them and sell them.

    I want one.

  • what happens if your battery dies?

  • @MrAcronim Good question, the batteries did fail after about 7 years so I had to drill a tiny hole into the dice and slide a small nail in to release the solenoid as well as replace the batteries and patch the hole :P The next versions actually use a reed switch to direct drive the solenoid just in case this happens again or the microcontroller fails to work when the voltage drops below their working range. You can see the hole @ 2:21

  • @PICing4fun why not use a rechargeable batteries and a i guess 2 slots for the pins to go to. so if the batteries will fail it can be recharged. put a 2 2000uf caps too if possible.

  • @6527mjap Actually, that is a sweet idea! Thanks.

  • @PICing4fun secret slot for recharging the battery and a reverse polarity protection.

  • @MrAcronim lol

  • @MrAcronim To sum up the other one TIME TO GET THE SAW

  • i need tht i have 1200 in 20s and i always move it around so no one getts i

  • @lilalnassiri And i have a saw

  • CLEVER GUY !! good job man.

  • I would hide my weed there!

  • @dKing0 But then you'd forget the combination just when you need it most.

  • That is amazing

  • Wow... I make some fairly decent wooden puzzle boxes and ran across your vid by accident. No way I could do the programming but I could totally make the little position sensor. Very clever design on that. One of those "why didn't I think of that" type of moments. Very good work. Thanks for posting this.

  • @monstercatambush Thanks for your comment my friend.

  • CAN U SHOW US HOW U MADE IT?

  • DUDE!

  • Pretty cool, but the die is inaccurate, an actual die has each opposite side cumulative to 7.

    6-1

    2-5

    3-4

  • Can you show me how to make one please thank you.

  • you need to remake this with a secret usb port to recharge a rechargeable battery because if that battery dies you just lost a good box

  • do you have a circuit diagram,? :D

  • This is super cool! I'm gonna make one for my little brother, he'll be stoked! Just one question, is there an issue if the batteries run out when the box is closed, or is this unlikely to happen? Again, great work and look forward to your reply...

  • That is so flippin cool!!!

  • dude thats awesome i would buy one of those things hahaha

  • Great idea, but it doesn't follow traditional dice design. All opposing sides add up to one more than the highest die number. So a six sided die has opposite sides that add up to seven.

  • @UnderManiac I was just thinking of that...

  • i thought u had to press teh button in on each side and then it woudl open but they you did that and i was like SAY WHAAA? GET OUT OF HERE

  • hi i was wondering, i really like your dice box and i want to make one but i dont know how or know anything about programming circuits and i was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to make this please thank you:D

  • I dare you to build a completely mechanical one :p

  • could i buy this!?!?!?

  • woow i was like wtf.. WTF.. WTF!!

  • Holy.. Shit.. I need one of those!

  • ARE yuo inner

  • i was really impressed to start, but then not so impressed to see it was coded, i thought you had made some really cool mechanism, inside. although that is really clever what you've done, and i mean no disrespect

  • how to f**k dose that work

  • Your voice sounds like Mike Tyson's :D

  • you should sell thoughs on ebay

  • Hi..I'm enthusiast... I liked this project...Really cool one..! Can I get to have a look at your code...and I need a lil guidance on orientation sensor

  • Can ya guide me on how you provided the movement to lid...!

  • @bashok001 Hi Bashok, the code starts at 1:00 and is there for you to freely use. I actually liked the opening mechanism shown at 2:00 because it was much simpler mechanically to build, but the trick is to find a solenoid or a motor that can run off of the 2 X 3volt lithium batteries, which were used simply because they have a really long shelf life compared to other battery types. Have fun.

  • @PICing4fun Thanks for replying..is thr any dwnload/softcopy of code which i cud gt?

Are thr tricks i can know about orientation sensot? i'm trying to find one good way to build this Orientation sensr! Cudnt find1!

  • @bashok001 Hi Bashok, Sorry for the incredibly late reply here. The orientation sensor is built from just bits of brass tubing soldered together with some well placed insulation on certain spots, it's a gadget that I dreamed up one night, but saying that I'm sure that there is nothing new under the sun and that it's probably been done before.

  • thats really cool =)

  • Thanks.

  • great work! just a little thing to mention: the dice isn't right. the one faces the six, the two faces the five and the 3 faces the four, so that the sum always is seven... im a smart ass XD but its really cool!

  • At some point in life I did kinda notice that . . . but a little late though, but yes you are right, but just to add to that all dices have the 1,2,3 touching each other and the 4,5,6 also touching each other so that if you were to spin it like a top then, when held correctly your odds of getting the 3 highest (or if you wish the 3 lowest) numbers is predictable. Not that it matters either but either way, thanks for the observent comment.

  • @PICing4fun now i feel bad! i just should have been writing:

    "great work! its really cool!"

  • @mankee2211 . Don't worry about it mankee, I like the fact that you noticed. It shows that you were paying attention which is as big a compliment as anyone could give ;)

  • how did you make it

  • Not even CIA would figure out what's the secret :D

  • HeeHee, thanks secret agent Niohimself.
