To be honest I just found these 2 videos from you by accident but I have to say that guy is a fuckin idiot. For him your narcolepsy is just a big joke he abuses to have fun with. My sister slams on the brakes in the car and screams every time I fall asleep in the car! scary at times but if you get really down about this condition instead of laughing (even at yourself) you would be incredibly depressed and have no time to live life.

I think if people knew more about the challenges of Narcolepsy they would be more compassionate & understanding towards people who suffer from it. It doesn't help that there are movies like Rat Race, with Narcolepsy as this joke disorder that only "weirdos" suffer from. We don't even realize how things like that contribute to our mindset. I hope you & your wife can work this out. You aren't a terrible husband and it seems your wife truly loves you. It just might help to talk things over a bit.

I always scare my girlfriend and it's always funny, but I stopped after the one time I set one attempt a little too high to the point of making her cry. Anyone with a basic understanding of body language could figure out it was a fake in 2 seconds. I'm just pissed off people fake it when my sister genuinly suffers from narcolepsy. It's not an 'amusing' topic and people blatantly faking it pisses me off. If you're going to lie. At least be convincing.

Honey, I know it's hard, but try not to let it bother you. My boyfriend would do the same thing, I know he would. I don't have any issues like you do, but there are times where my boyfriend won't stop annoying me and I have to be in another room or I might hurt him. But if it does bother you, talk to him about it. If it doesn't stop, honestly, leave him. You deserve better.

I think if people knew more about the challenges of Narcolepsy they would be more compassionate & understanding towards people who suffer from it. It doesn't help that there are movies like Rat Race, with Narcolepsy as this joke disorder that only "weirdos" suffer from. We don't even realize how things like that contribute to our mindset. I hope you & your wife can work this out. You aren't a terrible husband and it seems your wife truly loves you. It just might help to talk things over a bit.

In my opinion I find them to be a cute couple.. I always scare my girlfriend and it's always funny, but I stopped after the one time I set one attempt a little too high to the point of making her cry.
