  • I stopped trying to learn japanise numbers and just listened to the song. its cool.

  • Don't learn from this, worst pronounciation ever. And its not jyu, its Juu. To the maker of this video ; Don't teach Japanese if you suck at it, thanks.

  • Copy....

  • This is as catchy as catchy gets! Good job! :)

  • I Learned How To Count Till 20 in japanese Thx To This Vid!!

  • AHHHHHH

He took that from GenkiJapanNet's website!!!

  • I must say that's the gayest thing I've sewn in a long time

  • This is so hillarious xD

  • ok yeah kinda funny but totally incorrect pronunciations as has been pointed out

  • lol I have an itchy knee! X^D

  • sweetfrerfwfwf

  • sweet

  • I don't know what to say... terrible pronunciation... my ears are bleeding! but it's so funny!!! "ITCHY, ni, SAND, shi, go, ROCKA, HATCHY, kyuu, juu!" XD Ahahaha!!!

  • They don't use the Japanese accent, like uzerofutube said.

Ichi should sound like (ee-chee) not (itch-ee)

    Roku should sound like (roh-koo)

I suggest using YesJapan. It's an actual guy living in Japan, with the help of other Japanese people :P That's what I've been using, it's great!

  • every one of you who like obviously don't know what japanese sounds like

  • I can count to twenty XD! yay!

  • no offense... i really appreciate your work.. but its funny :3

  • a japanese friend tought me 'roku' is actually 'loku'

  • Is it just me, or is this absolutly hilarious! XD

  • Itchy nee sand yon go! rocku nanna HATCH!

  • soo catchy xD the first few words sound like itchy, itchy knee, itchy knee sand xD

  • i am jyu ni years old

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Hmm. Pronunciation is off. There are others on here that have more accurate vowels. Example: "ROKU" sounds like ROCK-O.

  • this is chienes characters!

  • @yomobrofilms japanese actually

  • love it!!!!!!!! so catchy....

  • ju kyu! nyaw, it souds cute

  • ok now im confused.. is it shi or yon? for 4 and for 7 is it shichi or nana?

  • @tracemaster100 . You say shi when you're saying four. Yon is when you are counting numbers higher than 10. jiu yon = 14. i hope that helps.

  • aigatoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo guseimussssssssss

  • 4(shi)はおぼえなくていい

    yonでok

  • thank u soooooooooooooooooooooooo much i love u now great video

  • one word BAKA!

  • @tracemaster100 heh,bakka means idiot...

  • the characters on the left , beside the numbers are not Japanese . Their Chinese , this is for your info only , if you don't know .

  • @adriana6850 My bad , it is the same as Japanese ..

  • @adriana6850 well actually they are Chinese but are used by the Japanese in a form of writing known as Kanji

  • Embarassing.

pls learn how to speak japanese right, bevor you make a video.

    idiot

  • lol

  • this is a good way to rember i know alot now

  • why can't they go up to one hundred?

  • I hate whoever made this video 'cause my sister won't stop saying this!

    JK

  • great!!

    thanks!!! :D

  • I LOVE THIS. IT IS HILARIOUS! there pronunciation isnt great but hey its still awesome... i rockin out 2 this lol!

  • He sounds like "itchy" "sand" "rocku"...

    That's outstanding American accent...

  • @uzerofutube Actually, I think he's british...or australian. He does have a accent, but it's not an american one...I don't think...

  • haha, i learned my japanese numbers cuz this XD it got stuck in mi head and then i learned it i guess? anyway.. its awesome!

  • i dont know how much i learned but i can tell u my stomach is aching from lol ing so hard!!!!!

  • Worst accent ever! While the written portion is correct, he got the vowel sounds ALL WRONG.

Ichi is not supposed to sound like "itchy". Good grief.

  • the pronunciations sound different...does anyone know what sort of accent that is?

  • hahaha i love this

  • YEEAAAHH I CAN COUNT TO 10

  • sooo helpful!

    why?

It'll be stuck in your head all day. ^.^

  • our teacher played this at school!

  • sound it out, zzzzzeeeeeerrrrrrroooooooo(zee-roh) and thats our english version for today

  • great way of learning

  • nice :D

  • and how do you say zero?

  • zero.

  • 0 in Japanese is pronounced "rei". Also, when you draw the character, it looks like a man with a hat and beard. ^.^

  • after while it's pretty annoying, but helps. xd

  • whats the guy who sings this name??

  • i used to do karate classes and when ever i went my sensei (teacher) alwasy used to count our moves in japanes up to ten so i no upto 10 but from then on i get lost lol so it helped a lot and btw this guy has a bad accent

  • same here man, except it was tae kwon do i did and the language was korean. that was years ago i forgot what one is XD

but lucky i still remember the names of the for kicks

  • this is kinda catchy! it helps me a lot!

    xD

  • I love this.

  • i thought roku is loku, isn't it?

  • watz511: the japanese 'r' is pronounced somewhere between r and l.

  • bad bad accent!!

  • Excellent video - it helped me a lot! - But one thing - People, try to avoid learning to say "Nana" for 7; I have never seen it used in Japanese speech; Memorize it as "Shichi"

  • Man every time i count i start singing this... It's cool though lol

  • Hahha thats so fun lol.

  • I think it's a great way to learn!!! I love it! :)

  • The accent is horrible!

  • this helps alot

  • i love this song !

  • tx is't verry usefull

  • i got my notebook!Now i'm writing it down!My mom wants me 2 count to 10 in Japenese.I'm American.I want 2 go 2 college in Japan!Anyway,it was a little fast.But great video!

  • TOO FAST!! O__o But it's catchy. =D

  • @HisPrettyButterfly it was almost to fast for me, but i just say them as if they are english words. kind of like this... each is 1... knee is 2... sand is 3... she or yawn is 4... and go is 5... after that it becomes a challenge for me so i can only go to 5...for now. each knee sand she go. but im wondering which one it is though, she or yawn. for the number 4

  • @HisPrettyButterfly the number 20 sounds kind of funny. because it sounds like ''need you''. lol

  • @HisPrettyButterfly lol fast? rofl i find this very slow xD

  • @RuvyGrace That was 3 years ago lol I've since gotten much better <3

  • it's very catchy :p

    taught me nothing though .

    horrible japanese accent :P

  • Best vid on Youtube, lol. It really did help though.

  • this song is mad thanks :)

  • this helps and has a catchy tune AND I can understand it easier because the pronunceation is at the bottom. ^__^ thanx fer the upload

  • japanese is much faster

  • japanese is very literal so you basically (not always though) say it like this:

for any number beyond 9, just say each number up to 99 with a ten in the middel!

    Example: 29= ni(2) jyu(10) kyu(9)

  • anyone find it funny that the sign for jyu is a cross? you'll get it if you say jyu out loud lul

  • luv ths vid lololololololololol

  • XD It's very catchy... GAH.

  • Yeah... It might be just an annoying tune with an annoying accent to get it stuck in your head... Which it really does do.. :|

But no Japanese speaker could understand that properly, maybe a few disagree but the majority can't understand that annoying Aussie/New York Yanke style accent. (Sorry to the people who sang this i hope my comment hasn't offended you)... Wait... These guys didn't even sing it anyway... Some other dude did... Ahwell.

  • i speak nihongo (japanese) and i completely agree with MunkiNunkle his accent is hard for some to understand. ichi ni san shi/yon go roku shichi/nana hachi ku ju.does any1 know wat that accent is?

  • This is horrible. Your pronunciation is completely off. If people learned Japanese from this, their accent would be so thick to a Japanese speaker that they probably would not be able to understand them. I'm a Japanese speaker and I found your accent completely horrid and painful to listen to. Why are you doing education videos when you can't even speak the language you're teaching correctly?

  • u r absoulutely right!! but maybe they did it to fit the song?? i dont kno japanese, but i watch plenty of anime to kno it doesnt sound right! i wish i could speak japanese like u

  • That should prove how horrible and off this video is: if a non-Japanese speaker can think it's off. One the main things is they pronounce R like RUH instead of L like LUH (weird thing about Japanese is the R is like an L, for example Alice is spelled Arisu in Japanese) and they're much too hard on the accent. Their accent is comparable to in English, like saying TABLE as TAH-BREE. No Japanese speaker would ever understand this accent.

  • guess wat, hate 2 break it 2 u, but this song is probably just 2 get the numbers stuck in ur head 4 order, they probably no it dosent sound right and the people who watch this will get it correct l8er, but this is just probably 4 order and spelling, so dont take it out on them!!!!!

  • The person who made this runs a website for learning Japanese (Genki Japan). Also if people think the numbers are correct, this video is doing more harm than good. I remember when I was first learning Japanese, someone with this kind of accent taught me a few words at the beginning and it took me months to say it right afterwards. If I didn't know proper pronunciation of Japanese, I would assume this was correct when it couldn't be more wrong.

  • oh well, it cant b helped, its on youtube and probably other sites by now... oh well ^^

  • I know. I feel sorry for all those poor people who make fools of themselves because of this video.

  • it seems so... i figured this would be an accent of an english speaker, if they were to try to speak japanese

  • The weird thing is that the accent is so harsh, it doesn't even sound like a natural accent. It sounds like the person went out of their way to thicken the accent as much as humanly possibl.

  • true

  • why did you use shi for 4 then use nana for 7?

  • Awsome thank you this is really helping me learn the numbers- catchy tune :D

  • i can count to ten!

  • this is a good video ^_^

but shi is unlucky your meant to say yon

    n___n

  • I believe your wrong. Whenever counting from 1 and upwards you usually say shi instead of yon, shichi instead of nana and ku instead of kyu.

  • hes not wrong, 4 in Japanese can be shi or yon

  • ...THAT'S WHAT I SAID!!

  • lol i kind of got confused when you said Whenever counting from 1 and upwards you usually say shi instead of yon.

  • lol
